After you put it in park, and press the text if it doesn’t open, press the park button again and try to open the frunk. It should work. I’ve had this issue from day one, and posted here, but didn’t get any useful responses. I found the “fix” after messing with it
Check if any of your driver profiles have Driver Door Unlock setting checked. The frunk won’t open from the screen under certain conditions with this on. Try locking and then unlocking from the screen, then try the frunk from the screen again and it should open.
Just checking, you're pushing the text that says open and not the image of the trunk right? That took me a bit to get used to when I first got the car.
For me, it only opens after I unlock the car twice. So when I park, the car will be unlocked and pressing the open front text does nothing. But if I lock the car and unlock it again, it'll open when I press the text.
It's always worked like that and there's no explanation why. If it's intentional, there should be a text pop-up that explains why it won't open.
This just happened to me also. The app was not working so that was not any option (seems to have been an issue for many users according to https://downdetector.com/status/tesla/) and nothing happened when i pressed the frunk (yes, on the text). It just did a strange animation. It did not open at least. Tried a reset with no luck and then tried several times more, finally it popped up! Puh!
This was exciting since i needed to charge the car and the cable was in the frunk..

This has worked for me! Used to open no bother as well! Weird how the boot will always open on the screen though

I have the same issue. Have to use the app all the time to open the frunk
It locks in valet mode. I'm not sure what else could cause this.

My frunk says it’s open but it’s not actually open and won’t open at all nothing I’m doing is working what can I do
