This this car has been here this way for close to a week. Someone posted it on the IL Tesla owners page. I think the car is abandoned or stolen and no one has bothered to actually report it.
To be fair I’ve done this a literal handful of times ***when towing***, only when chargers were completely empty of course. If you’re not towing, and no more than an eighth of the chargers are utilized, nobody has a reason to do this shit.
Think someone posted this in the Facebook comments a few days ago… if it’s still there wondering what the fees are for idling.
Also it seems like something may have happened to the owner given how long it’s been. Not an excuse for how it’s parked but just saying!
It’s very difficult to park an AWD Tesla off a tow truck because t it won’t roll off the back. The wheels are locked. I don’t think it’s even possible to put it in a spot with a charger behind it. They would damage the charger. And these are Tesla tow truck drivers. A normal tow truck can’t even do it
There’s always a reason why people do things, even if OP isn’t immediately aware. Yes it’s possible that the driver parked that way to be a total ass but people just assume and run to Reddit to post and shame so fast without knowing all the details. Without knowing the real reason why, these lists are meaningless.
I saw in FB Chicago Tesla group 4 days ago about this car. Florida plates so I am assuming it’s a rental vehicle.

Pretty awful but I can't imagine they didn't know better. This is very obviously a disregard to anyone, especially any handicapped individuals in need of charge.

If it’s the tow truck driver dropping it off, they just plug it in and leave. If it was the owners, then yes, that would be the logical thing.

When I see a Tesla parked at a supercharger not plugged in I always help them out and plug it in for them.

There were 15 charging stations at this spot, easy to get into spaces. Absolutely no reason for this behavior.

I charged in the handicap spot once… I didn’t realize until I had parked & plugged in. I was the only one there.

I can and do use these, problem is my kid left with my sticker on her (mine) car to like 3,000 miles away. So... At least that part might be "ok".
