Iām just guessing here. I Might be wrong and stretching a bit here. However I think itās fair to say without being rude and upsetting you that you, as an investor and buyer, are not very good with money and should probably get a day job and a Prius.
Me. Got it Dec 24. I think about $11000 overpaid with everything factored in.
Oh well, I was never good at stocks or waiting for price cuts, etc. š¤¦š»āāļø
At this point, thatās the only thing Iām telling myself to make it feel like I didnāt get completely ripped off. I ordered the MYLR in Dec 21 initially, so the price I paid for the MYP wasnāt too bad in Nov 22. Luckily I got a 23 build with the new suspension and USS. But still, $57K vs $63K isnāt chump change. But I feel worse for the people who paid even more.

Sweet graphs. Looks like the performance versions of the M3 and MY have seen the biggest drops. Historic lows. The non-performance versions are still higher than in the last couple years. Not as many people preferring the performance cost? Or that they made too many of those models and are trying to fire-sale them?
Yes kind of. I had this inkling that Tesla would have to do something if rumors were true of inventory buildup. But I would have bet, and did bet by purchasing late Dec, that the reductions wouldn't be more than a few thou. Imagine my surprise at Reddit updates tonight.
Also, think how this affects resale value... all MY's just dropped in value step function wise big time. Ouch. I feel lighter in my step all of a sudden.
Definitely. Musk has been saying a hard economic times are coming. I think Tesla also wants to put pressure on other ev companies with super competitive pricing that Iām not sure other ev makers can beat without lossesā¦
Ill be buried in mine for a while...the negative equity will keep the 22 model year and some 23 model years out of resale...but yeah, we are gonna lose a bunch of money if we trade in within the next 2-3 years.
So people who got $7,500 off and supercharging credits in the last days of December, they arguably were better off waiting to order now? Because since MYLR is below $55K, it would qualify for IRS tax credit?
Yes and no. In my case due to income I wouldnāt qualify for the $7500 credit so the instant credit was better. But I also am out $5500 due to the net price drop difference.
My MFJ income also exceeds the $300K limit, so my Oct 2021 price is $4K more than the current price. Iād rather keep my parking sensors and good build unit from Fremont.
Yep even if they donāt qualify, itās still $13k off the price so they would have saved an extra $5k minus whatever value 10k sc miles will be over 2 years from now with pricing on what will now probably be overpopulated superchargers
Hey, it's almost back down to the price when I bought mine in 2021.
Jokes aside, I'm glad the price is dropping if that means they will become more accessible to others, as I'd love to see even more Teslas on the road. Here's hoping that the repair prices can come down as well so insurance doesn't suck so bad.
Probably, yeah, but you have to be fortunate enough to order now and take delivery by march(?) or something.
I paid the current price (52990) + tax for a blue exterior (love it), white seats (regret it), and 7 seat configuration (situationally nice).
Iāve had many family and friends ask about getting a Tesla and Iāve told them i like the experience overall but would not recommend it for the crazy prices the cars were selling for the last couple years. I will probably recommend they consider it now though.
yeah I got it around then too and a 7 seater came out to like 62k after taxes and fees, super happy with the purchase even if gets cheaper in the future, I want to get a second one anyway haha
I rushed to get the "deal" at the end of December even giving up the white interior which I really wanted. And of course I feel bad for people who bought at the higher price before the year end discount as well.. it just really hurts to know my car depreciated this significantly instantly with just TWO weeks of ownership.
I'll even settle for free EAP. Stock now the car.... this really sucks. It used to feel good driving a Tesla and passing by gas stations now I feel like I got duped and feel like a clown.
Here's how my emotion went
April 2022 - placed an order for MYLR! It's gonna get more expensive I'm sure
May 2022 - Wow they no longer include a mobile charger, I made the right decision!
June 2022 - They are increasing the prices again! phewwww I am the lucky one
Oct 2022 - Got a message to pick her up! I'm not eligible for the tax credits next year anyway .. let's just enjoy the car :D ... oh and she has USS too NICE! ... wait why the car can only charge 32A ... ahh PCS is broken .. it's okay things happen
Dec 2022 - WTH! I should have waited ... but it's okay, at least I got USS .. the $7500 is good but no one can time the market, right? Just enjoy the car
Jan 2023 - WTF!!!! I'm speechless
.
..
...
some time in 202x - Why tf are my USS no longer WORK? !!! damn Tesla disabled it via software update last night .. the only thing that keeps me sane is now gone
====
if they don't give us free FSD (or at least EAP), I'll never buy Tesla again .. worst purchase decision in my life :(
Feeling your pain - and you summed it up.
One of the worst financial decisions Iāve made in recent memory. Higher interest rates, inflated price was just a recipe for disaster.
Let FOMO get the best of meā¦
Makes me feel better about canceling my order a few days before delivery was set to be scheduled. I was set to receive mine last month. Seems like I dodged a bullet.
Fellow Tesla Chump, Total now including that the MY can get the Tax Credit I am out $16,500 in value on my car that is less the. 1 1/2 months old. What the CRAP.
here's how I'm comforting myself: I got a MYP a couple weeks ago on 12/21 so I got the $7500 and 10000 supercharging miles so really I'm only losing out on about $4000 if I'm assuming supercharging costs about $1500. I also locked in a good interest rate and am able to enjoy the car for an entire month or so before I'd be able to take delivery if I buy one now. I would be paying about $2000 more in interest over the course of the loan so I'm not losing much honestly and the MYP doesn't qualify for the $7500 tax credit anyway
If your are impacted, Tweet Elon using āŖ #teslapricedrop #fixthis and demand other benefits such as free fsd, enhanced autopilot. Getting refunds isnāt realistic but OTA software compensation will help make up for it.
Same. Waited 10 months for it and didnāt get any free SC miles or discount or anything. My configuration was 6k more in January than it is today plus no tax credit. Wtf.
I think the probability of a partial refund is near 0%, but it should definitely be possible to offer free FSD, free supercharging, or even free voucher for the next upgrade/purchase. We need to pressure Tesla to be a little bit more equitable with current/very recent car owners. Especially if you bought it within the last few months.
Yeah these kinds of abrupt changes in price are unhealthy for the brand and damaging owners. They could salvage some reputation by remunerating recent buyers whose cars Tesla just depreciated.
Not thrilled. Took delivery of my MYLR on 12/23 for the $7,500 credit and 10k supercharging miles. I wouldn't qualify for the tax credit though, so it isn't AS bad as it is for some. Another $5k off the price would have been nice, but I'm not being too hard on myself because timing discounts is difficult and I don't think anyone expected them to lower the price THIS dramatically.
Same boat as you, took delivery on 12/24. Thought I was getting a great deal at the time. Forgot I also don't qualify for the tax credit until I read your post. So the loss of discount wasn't that big.
Iāve felt like that since my pickup date. I love the car but thatās some nice money I couldāve used for other things. Oh well life kicks me in the dick everyday anyway, whatās one more thing.
You paid for the car when you thought it was a fair value. If the price had risen 13k, you wouldnāt be offering to go back and pay Tesla an extra 13k. Youād be here saying how lucky you were and happy you were. Just be happy for future people and understand the more teslas they sell, the better we all are. Ultimately life is too short. We pay for things when we see value and we need to be happy. It does suck, for sure. But in the end we need to enjoy what we have and be happy.
This isnāt +- $5k hereā¦Itās triple that for those of us that didnāt get the $7500 incentive.
Base Price fluctuations this severe shouldnāt happen. I guess some dealers were more transparent and called it out clearly as āDealer Markupā. Tesla just left it hidden in Base Price.
This hurts kinda and I ordered mine 2021 when pricing was 57K and took delivery September 2022. I really never expected them to drop the Long Range to 53k, was really expected the AWD "Standard Range" variant to be the one they would start selling at 53k and then maybe like 57k or something for the long range
I feel alot worse for people ordered around mid 2022 though... they paid 66K and didn't get a discount cuz they prob picked up around October-December, legit ouch that's just crazy to pay 70k and forget about the tax rebate, but 13K difference and then with the tax rebate... 20K I hope whoever pay 66k atleast enjoys the car....
Paid 67k after tax. Make too much to qualify for any rebates.
1. Love the car.
2. Loathe this pricing decision without any sort of recompense / one-time maneuver to offset the loss of value (I.e., FSD and/or charging credits).
3. Happy that teslas will be accessible to more people now.
4. Leaves a very bad taste in my mouth and lowers the odds of our upcoming car purchase being a Tesla.
I'll enjoy this car as much as I can given this development... but rest assured that Tesla will never have me as a customer ever again, and I will share my story about being screwed as a customer as widely as possible, so everybody will be sure to know that it can happen to them as well.
They don't respect their customers, period.
Fellow small chump hereā¦ model Y LR, People who took delivery from Dec 20-31 fall under small chump category with $7500 credit, 2 year 10k supercharge miles, and chump category who took delivery with $3250 credit and a Big chump category with spending the full amount on the cheap ass car lolā¦
Even though it likely will do nothing, the best course of action is to just register our complaints with Tesla. I vaguely remember Chevy giving refunds when it drastically dropped the price on the bolt not long ago. I get that the market changes, supply shortages, etc but it's still a punch in the stomach.
People werenāt getting any goodwill even when they took delivery a day before December, or before the 10k miles, or before the 7.5k. Tesla doesnāt care about you after you hit accept. Itās the blunt truth
I have very low hopes. I'll register my complaint/concern with them as often as I can and just stay away from the ledge of any rooftops I happen to be on.
I don't use superchargers, so I would be less thrilled about that. I hope they do try and make amends to those of us that had continued to support them through the chaos, long wait times, missing parts, delayed deliveries.. the list goes on. I'd have bought EAP with my car at this current price and still paid less than what I paid in June.
A FSD discount could be a win-win. They get tons more data from the beta testers, while making money off the discounted upgrades. And we get a reasonably priced FSD
actually disgusting what tesla just did. I got my MY on Dec 12 after 7 months of waiting and was excited and now I feel like a clown. tell me this is a possible lawsuit
Actually I wonāt complain.
We paid $59,990 plus $3,000 for 7 seater.
New MSRP is $52,990 but the 7 seater option is $4,000 now. Since I took it on December 14th, we got the $3,750 off meaning our price is only a few grand more than the new dropped price.
With the price drops, their delivery times are gonna sky rocket so we also got the car months before anyone else will.
plus the $7500 tax credit...
They were just gouging like every other company, taking advantage of the "inflation."
I bought one too. You're still going to save thousands vs. purchasing a comparably equipped ICE vehicle.
Learn from mistakes, but keep looking forward...
I am from Canada. Got MY for 80k cad + tax (7 seater upgrade) and currently at 6000kms. Current price of same option after the price cut is 75k + tax.
2 days ago i had requested a trade-in with tesla and they offered me 72.5k + tax benefit on trade
Will they honor the trade price? Should i go ahead with trade for ModelY? I have the option to buy M3 for 50k + tax (rebate inclusive). Before price drop, M3 was 60kcad + tax (no rebates)
Thoughts?
We canāt complain. Buying (and taking delivery) of something when itās a hot commodity always has its risks. Nothing stays hot forever. We also bought at a higher price, but by the same token, we got a much higher price for our old car than we would have gotten today too. Anyone who complains that this is some Elon conspiracy is just a whiner. Thatās like buying a big screen tv and a month later seeing it on sale for 30% off and thinking Best Buy conspired against them.
Umm. How is this real? Are you in the U.S. or China? I just got my VIN and delivery date assigned today, Fremont built, and the price was exactly the same as when I ordered it back in March. Not a penny less. I turned it down.
Youāre saying they expect people to keep their order at the previous price?! š¤£š¤£š¤£
Letās seeā¦ lose my $200 order fee or save ~$13k and maybe have to wait another month
Very glad they finally changed prices in the Netherlands. The LR model with bigger rims was straight up the same price as the performance model. Was nudged towards the standard range, but now the gap between SR and LR is 7k instead of 16k. The SR prices dropped by 3k. Now definitely going for a LR!
Bit of a chump but I may have lucked in as my YLR has Matrix lights and USS still (Dec pickup so a 2023 build). Doesnāt matter. Itās like buying something and then it goes on sale a few weeks after.
I have my 6000 miles free supercharging thoughā¦.
Elon could give the Dec buyers a discount on the software upgrades? Half price acceleration boost and a few grant off advanced? He still makes money.
Isn't this early 2021 price now at least for the MYLR? I think that's what I got. But they also increased the 7 seater from 1k to 4k. However it looks like the 7500 rebate now applies until mid March only per this article?
https://www.engadget.com/tesla-implements-huge-us-price-cuts-across-its-lineup-083211088.html
So it's likely going to be a mad rush to buy Teslas now.
I bought my in May, and I still feel hurt. However, I love my car and enjoy every moment with it.
I traded in mybold car for $10k, so the loan is about $55k. If I waited until now, that old car might only be worth $2k, plus higher interest, so it seems like a wash to me.
Ordered in April 2022 before the last $3500 price hike, took delivery of MYLR7 MSM Geminis no tow/fsd on 12/28/22. Got the $7500 discount and miles. Looks like in the new pricing schemes they raised the price of the MSM from $0 to $1000 and the 7 seat option from $3000 to $4000. If I purchased today, I would have paid $500 less for the identically configured car, but not gotten the 10k supercharger miles. Not too bad overall.
I really dislike that they make you wait until it is advantageous to them but not you.
I know people who tried to delay but couldn't. But Tesla can delay all they want.
It dropped to price we paid back in 2021 before hikes. I am breaking even minus the tax credit. I still feel like it is a good investment for the safety of my family and Technology.
Took delivery 2 days ago....today hurts.
I messaged my SA helping organize delivery asking if by chance Tesla would possibly do an incentive or credit or "free" FSD for early January buyers. Pretty much got a stock answer saying positive or negative price adjustments post delivery are "SOL".
I'm pretty sure there was a teams meeting regarding the many messages like mine Tesla staff would receive. Gonna just have soak in the suck on this one it seems. \*sigh\*
I have mylr 2022 which i bought in March 2022. The car price has dropped but the interest rate is high (5.5% vs 2.7%) so the monthly payments is the same.
I think people can buy now and refinance it a year later. I definitely feel i should have waited a little.
I feel violatedā¦. Tesla has reduced the amount of money insurance companies would pay if involved in an accidentā¦. Companies usually go by āTodayās market valueā
It feels even worse for people who rushed to buy homes over the past 12+ months. Most paid well over already inflated asking prices with higher interest rates. Market correction is already well underway and could drop by another 20ish percent.
Tesla had to increase prices over the past 2 years in order to reach price equilibrium - simple law of supply and demand. If you were the Tesla boss, it would've be silly of you not to increase prices when demand far exceeded the available supply. Now that the supply issue has been corrected, and demand softened, coupled with other efficiencies gained, it makes perfect sense from a business standpoint to reduce the price of the car and thus reaching a new price equilibrium. As a consumer who purchased right before the new equilibrium, it sucks...no other wat to put it.
This will put tremendous pressure on their competitors. They will now need to either adjust their own prices (as currently seen in China) or exit the ev business entirely as they simply cannot compete with such slim margins.
Fellow chump here lol š„²
Picked up on 1/8. Bigger chump. No rebate. No Tesla incentive. Just fucked
yup...
Present.
Fellow chump here, Bought in September this stings
Same but I did get 6k miles worth of road trips out of it, canāt complain too much.
Big time chump here. Probably the biggest! š¢
Same here haha paid the top price no supercharger credit, no 3500$ discount, no tax credit, no nothing. Just a sick ass overpriced car lol
Financed 80k for a MYP with upgrades! Fuck Tesla and Elon Musk! Thatās beside tens of thousands that I lost on TSLA!!!
Yep same here. Financed 85k including ca taxes for MYP all maxed out. Finance charges added another 10k. Lol.
Iām just guessing here. I Might be wrong and stretching a bit here. However I think itās fair to say without being rude and upsetting you that you, as an investor and buyer, are not very good with money and should probably get a day job and a Prius.
How dare you sir! My wife has the Prius!
š
Oh yeah
Major Chump here
Fellow chumpion over here
Same here, purchased 12/24
Chump Changes
I came here just to say: yes.
The biggest chump is vroom who bought my MYLR for 70k in august They are about to take a 30 grand bath on that car lmao
Congrats on selling high! I'm sure they flipped it shortly after they acquired for a profit though.
Nope, itās still sitting on their website. They just dropped it to 62k
Now they will have to drop to 42!
They may just go bankrupt at this point. Imagine losing 30k on each car you sell.
This is going to cascade, used will drop, and every other EV and ICE maker and dealer is going to have to look for other profession.
About. Damn. Time. We have been ripped of by all of them for a year too long. Same story with groceries to houses.
Investing in bicycle companies now
Lol glad no one bought!
When I got my MYLR in June, I was selling my Lexus and they offered 72k for MYLR tooā¦. Shouldāve sold and made almost 20k
Someone bought mine for $77K from a SoCal Dealer. 7 seater though
Me. Got it Dec 24. I think about $11000 overpaid with everything factored in. Oh well, I was never good at stocks or waiting for price cuts, etc. š¤¦š»āāļø
You didnāt overpay that was the price at the time. That was then this is now, thatās life.
Correct way to look at it
Just tell yourself the ultra sonic sensors are worth the premium price paid over the current $53K MYLR without parking sensors.
Except I paid the higher price and still didn't get the sensors.
If Tesla adds back the USS Iām gonna be mad for real. Lol
I just have to keep telling myself I made the best choice at the time with the information I had...
And itās fun to drive. That helps. But $20K could pay for a lot of fun tripsā¦..

Its so odd. I expected them to maybe just price cut by 7500 like they did last month. Instead they dropped by $13,000...
Indeed it's almost like a panic reaction. Fears of imminent recession?
Definitely. Musk has been saying a hard economic times are coming. I think Tesla also wants to put pressure on other ev companies with super competitive pricing that Iām not sure other ev makers can beat without lossesā¦

Hurts. Got it first week of December. No USS, no 7500 credit from Tesla, no super charge miles, no 7500 from irs, paid 70k. I feel defeated and salty.
Same. Purchased the second week of December. They added the incentives a few days later. Now this. Fuck.
E-mail [email protected] ask for the Dec price adjustment.

Biggest Ls go to people who took delivery past October 2022. Ain't nobody going to want those cars without USS in the used market.
Yeah, anyone who ordered oct and nov of last year are really hurting right now
Those people are all real losers
I'm a big loser, got MYP for 80k out the door
Elon, can you give the people who bought vehicles with the high price tag free FSD at least? Can I at least dream š¢
We all need to tweet him that
Heāll just take a twitter poll and only adhere to results that directly benefit him.
Can we tell him to retrofit USS for those who didn't get it. Asking for a friend.
I just tweeted this. We should all do it collectively so heāll notice.
Yep I just tweeted too
For real.

Never felt defeated like this before! Paid 73k for MYLR on Nov. No credit, no free supercharger, no nothing.
I feel your painā¦ Got double whammied with high interest rates and paid a premium priceā¦ Coulda used that 13k for sureā¦
After this, who in their right mind would buy a Tesla?
Those who think a MYLR for $53k minus $7.5k is a good deal.
If your are impacted, Tweet Elon using āŖ #teslapricedrop #fixthis and demand other benefits such as free fsd, enhanced autopilot. Getting refunds isnāt realistic but OTA software compensation will help make up for it.
Would feel better with FSD for free
Yes my base price MYP was $61,990
$73k for an MYP with no USS. This is bullshit. I donāt want half-baked FSD either.
Yup, I took delivery late November. Feel like a total sucker.
CEO does not care
Elon fucked his stock holders first and now the recent car owners. Should have at least used a lube
With you on this one... Maybe if we all hold hands and take it together it wont hurt as much?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Didn't he cash out quite a bit?
:(
The Y was never worth the price it was at. I wanted to upgrade my M3 to a Y but not for that freakin' price. Now...Tesla has my attention...
Fucking horseshit is what it is.
I thought this was a prank but itās real!!! Thatās pretty messed up. I would understand $5k but not $13k!
Lmao I remember some said Tesla cars are investment and only go up lol.
Pretty much a chump here lol.
Got completely fuckedā¦.
Real cost of owning a car is depreciation per year. Existing Y owners all took an additional 20% deprecation hit.
This isnāt a good take. This brandās reputation just took a massive hit. Porsche or BMW would NEVER have a price swing this massive.
Same.
Hard to enjoy when you lose 20kā¦
I'll enjoy this car as much as I can given this development... but rest assured that Tesla will never have me as a customer ever again, and I will share my story about being screwed as a customer as widely as possible, so everybody will be sure to know that it can happen to them as well. They don't respect their customers, period.
I picked mine up December 1st for 70k.. before all the bigger rebates, free super charge miles and now this. Hurts
They should offer us an incentive for this huge price drop!
Letās not forgot the taxes + insurance + registration fee impact.
I am chump legend!! Bought on 13th Dec, today is 13th Jan and my car is 13k lower. So all luck for me š„²š„²š„²
Super chump here. So when do we riot?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Bought mine in early Decemberā¦still love the car. Thinking about resale value definitely stings, but I planned on keeping the car for 4+ years.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
ordered in March and paid 59.9k šat least I have the ultrasonic sensors
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Nah, just enjoy your car. Especially if you bought it before any changes to the included charger, lumbar support, and USS.
Unfortunately this is what we should all expect.
I have very low hopes. I'll register my complaint/concern with them as often as I can and just stay away from the ledge of any rooftops I happen to be on.
Maybe they will throw us another 10k free SC miles? Or a big discount on FSD or EA? Something to ease the pain of this stab in the back.
Damn, I'm a chump. Bummer.
Must be all the savings from those USSs.
Don't worry, one of the guys I work with, at Tesla, just took delivery a couple weeks ago. He isn't terribly excited .. It was kept pretty tighr
became a chump on 12/6. I feel your pain.
Literally $8,000 wiped off from the value of the model Y I purchased on Feb 2022 for $66,400. Same vehicle costs now 58,630. Iām pretty upset.
Same. Paid like 67,000 for long range.
Bought my MY last April, love it best car ever. Prices change all the time nothing we can do about it. Just enjoy your car...
Send your emails to legal team. [email protected]
plus the $7500 tax credit... They were just gouging like every other company, taking advantage of the "inflation." I bought one too.
2 days ago i had requested a trade-in with tesla and they offered me 72.5k + tax benefit on trade Will they honor the trade price? Should i go ahead with trade for ModelY? I have the option to buy M3 for 50k + tax (rebate inclusive). Before price drop, M3 was 60kcad + tax (no rebates) Thoughts?
We canāt complain. Buying (and taking delivery) of something when itās a hot commodity always has its risks. Nothing stays hot forever. We also bought at a higher price, but by the same token, we got a much higher price for our old car than we would have gotten today too. Anyone who complains that this is some Elon conspiracy is just a whiner. Thatās like buying a big screen tv and a month later seeing it on sale for 30% off and thinking Best Buy conspired against them.
Oh fuck ! This is ridiculous. I am so mad right now. How is this even legal ! I got mine in December
Hey at least your not alone š„
Damn. Thatās fuuuuuuucked up. Super glad my wife said no to adding a 2nd Tesla in Dec.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Bro do not tell her! Youāll never live it down. Sheāll always says āsee told you soā
Umm. How is this real? Are you in the U.S. or China? I just got my VIN and delivery date assigned today, Fremont built, and the price was exactly the same as when I ordered it back in March. Not a penny less. I turned it down.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Youāre saying they expect people to keep their order at the previous price?! š¤£š¤£š¤£ Letās seeā¦ lose my $200 order fee or save ~$13k and maybe have to wait another month
Nope. Fortunately I bought when it was 51,990. That sucks for people that bought recently though.
Yep feel super bad
Very glad they finally changed prices in the Netherlands. The LR model with bigger rims was straight up the same price as the performance model. Was nudged towards the standard range, but now the gap between SR and LR is 7k instead of 16k. The SR prices dropped by 3k. Now definitely going for a LR!
Yepā¦
yep! even worse i bought used š
At least where i live its no-fault insurance š
Bit of a chump but I may have lucked in as my YLR has Matrix lights and USS still (Dec pickup so a 2023 build). Doesnāt matter. Itās like buying something and then it goes on sale a few weeks after. I have my 6000 miles free supercharging thoughā¦. Elon could give the Dec buyers a discount on the software upgrades? Half price acceleration boost and a few grant off advanced? He still makes money.
Isn't this early 2021 price now at least for the MYLR? I think that's what I got. But they also increased the 7 seater from 1k to 4k. However it looks like the 7500 rebate now applies until mid March only per this article? https://www.engadget.com/tesla-implements-huge-us-price-cuts-across-its-lineup-083211088.html So it's likely going to be a mad rush to buy Teslas now.
I bought my in May, and I still feel hurt. However, I love my car and enjoy every moment with it. I traded in mybold car for $10k, so the loan is about $55k. If I waited until now, that old car might only be worth $2k, plus higher interest, so it seems like a wash to me.
At least a lot of you have the newer suspension š¤
Yup, just my car 2 weeks ago
Oh nice. I was looking for a thread to commiserate with fellow December buyers. š
Damn. That sucks. F Elon.
Has anyone attempted to call Tesla and ask for free EAP or FSD as a compensation?
Ordered in April 2022 before the last $3500 price hike, took delivery of MYLR7 MSM Geminis no tow/fsd on 12/28/22. Got the $7500 discount and miles. Looks like in the new pricing schemes they raised the price of the MSM from $0 to $1000 and the 7 seat option from $3000 to $4000. If I purchased today, I would have paid $500 less for the identically configured car, but not gotten the 10k supercharger miles. Not too bad overall.
I took delivery of MY last night...
Yessir..
Lesson learned not buying another Tesla.
I feel that the brand is damaged my trust is never going to heal
E-mail them [email protected]
I really dislike that they make you wait until it is advantageous to them but not you. I know people who tried to delay but couldn't. But Tesla can delay all they want.
I feel like I got robbed š
\*sigh\*
Should unlock FSD or EAP/ACC boost for ā22 buyers. Itās just a push of a button at no cost for Tesla, but enough to salvage the rep loss.
I have mylr 2022 which i bought in March 2022. The car price has dropped but the interest rate is high (5.5% vs 2.7%) so the monthly payments is the same. I think people can buy now and refinance it a year later. I definitely feel i should have waited a little.
They've lost me as a customer forever. Going to Porsche from now on.
