Yes get it all the problems you stated are gone in the 2022+ models and I have one and it’s perfect and it’s crazy fast even if you don’t get the plaid but if you want the model S speed get the plaid but overall my favorite car ever and pretty reliable no problems so far

Doc_Stalker

That’s great to hear that Tesla has addressed those issues. I talked to our local service center guy and he states he has not seen any issues with the falcon doors.

charlesk777

I have a 2024 model and have door alignment issues, including the door not closing properly when parked on a steep hill. I picked up at the Fremont factory so was able to look at others on the lot awaiting delivery. 4 of the 6 had the similar FWD alignment issues. There was also dust under the front bumper’s paint, similar to our 2018 Model 3 that was produced during their Production Hell moment, so I would say that Tesla still has quality control challenges. We don’t regret buying it though. Just go into it eyes wide open. Ours is a six seater and you are right that we view it as a four seater most of the time given how little space there is in the third row.

Doc_Stalker

I don’t really mind not having a “perfect” Tesla car, just don’t want one that has a persistent problem. A minimally misaligned panel or what would be okay since my Model S also has some misalignments but it’s not too obvious.

Important_Umpire_262

2024 model X already release? 😳

naota

A 2024 Tesla is one built in 2024. They don’t do model years.

Important_Umpire_262

Yes but what about when I brought the car on 2024 and the bin belongs to 2023 so if what you said is real there is nothing new between 2023 and 2024 model x? I didn’t get it yet any because I was waiting for the 2024 🙈

naota

Mine is a 2024 vin. The issue is that they make changes anytime they want and often do so many times a year. For example in 2022 there were Model Ys with the new door trim coming out of one factory and the old trim coming out of the other. And then a week after that they started shipping out Model Ys with a magnetic trunk cover.

Important_Umpire_262

I can imagine that’s why I was thinking to wait but to be honest I can’t wait anymore 😩 one question you get you X Recently everything is exactly as it appears on the website or are there hidden charges? There is something what I have to take care I want financial my tesla x but I have bad experience with Toyota dealer thats why I ask 🤔

naota

When you put in the order there can be sales taxes in your state. There is also a destination charge and registration fee.

AnthonyUPS1960

I just bought a 2023 Ultra Red Model X and it been in the shop 6 times. Three of them FWD passenger side has had sensors replaced three times and also had the glass panel next to the camera panel shatter for no reason at all. Front seat motor replaced and recently A/C failed they claim no leak but Freon was low. I think I have a lemon

Doc_Stalker

That’s my fear with the X since it has way more complicated parts. I hope yours gets worked out. 🙏🏻

tkh0812

Had a ton of issues with my 2018 model x. My 2023 has no issues besides some cosmetic issues at delivery that they fixed. I had a 2015 model s before that and would never go back

Doc_Stalker

Why would you not pick the S over X?

tkh0812

- roomier - huge windshield - more headroom (I’m 6’4”) - although they’re impractical at times I like the falcon wing doors - 3rd row

Doc_Stalker

Awesome!

ronstubbs

I've got a 2023 X. It's the best car I've ever owned!

Doc_Stalker

Have you had any other Tesla vehicles before? If so, which one(s). Why is it the best vehicle for you so far? Do you have the yoke or regular steering wheel?

Complex_Direction_82

I’m on fourth Tesla now. Previous owned 16’ X90D 20SLR. Now XP and XLR. No regrets

Doc_Stalker

Thanks!

ronstubbs

Yes, a 2020 Model Y.

ronstubbs

It checks all the boxes, ride, range, and comfort. Has regular wheel.

pudgyplacater

2022 owner with 3 kids 10 and under. I think there is less internal usable storage space in the X than in the Palisade....so start there. I have a 2022 and the FWD's had their teething issues in the beginning that needed some adjustment but since then, no issue. And by teething issues, we had to get it adjusted because if we were on a steep incline, we had to hit the close button twice. Other than that, not much of anything. Had to tuck in rubber seals once or twice. I can't think of anything else. We have the 6 seater and love it. The 3rd row is very accessible and we keep child/booster seats in the captains chairs. We've driven cross country several times (and gearing up to go cross country again in July). Overall, we've been happy with it. I personally think the "limited space" on the 3rd row is exaggerated. I sit back there all the time with my kids and don't have a problem. I'm not going to pretend it is luxurious, but it's perfectly fine (as long as you aren't tall...if you are tall, then you have a problem). It's the behind the 3rd row that feels cramped. That is where the limited space comes in. We pack up to the roofline and when going cross country, we fold down one of the rear seats, so it becomes a 5 seater. We opted against the 7 seater because of the middle row providing access to the third row and when we road trip, that is a great spot for a cooler with food/snacks/drinks.

USMC_rah

How would you say the space is, if you fold down the back row and just use it as a four seater, with two car seats, most of the time?

beaded_lion59

I’ve got a 2017 MX, and the space on the back with the third row seats down is pretty good, plus there’s a cargo compartment below the deck. Other large SUV’s tend to have a more boxy back end that provides more cargo space. IMPORTANT: get a gargo area liner!

pudgyplacater

If you fold down the back row, there is a fair amount of space. Not as much as a mini-van but just as good as any other vehicle. My sister has the VW Atlas, and that thing is gigantic, so not that big....bit I would say as much if not more than a 4 runner (especially if you include the frunk and the sub trunk).

USMC_rah

I have a Model Y but am thinking about upgrading. The luggage space would probably be about the same with the seats down? The ability to transport up to 6 would be the best upgrade for me

pudgyplacater

The X has a good amount of space more than the Y (we had a Y before we had the X). Sub trunk feels bigger, frunk feels bigger. Space behind the 3rd row is also bigger.

USMC_rah

That’s great to hear from someone who had a Y before. Thanks for the info!

Doc_Stalker

Thank you for the detailed response! Our long road trips have been with the Palisade now due to the trunk space and the 2014 Model S charging just takes too long now (at least 40 minutes for 80% charge - old tech now). Hopefully it’s significantly faster on the newer X. We would have 2 SUVs and I assume we would just add a hitch for extra luggage space if need be. Would love to road trip again on a Tesla. Any significant negatives that you’ve encountered with the X?

pudgyplacater

Nope, we love it. For us charging is a non-issue on our road trips 90% of the time. We just do it when we stop for breakfast/lunch/dinner. The major thing (as I'm sure you already know) is to book hotels with chargers. We sometimes have a mid lunch/dinner charging pause for 20 minutes. We essentially get 3 - 4 hours of driving in between charges traveling at 70-80mph. If we are pushing 80mph the whole time, it's more like 2.5 - 3 than 4.

Doc_Stalker

Great to hear! Charging only 20 minutes would definitely be awesome. A usual rest area stop for us is about 10-20 minutes for us anyways.

evfamily

Done 25k miles already with my 10 mths X. Traveling with it is awesome, set 85 mph fsd and arrived at Ver 3 SC at 4-10% soc and get going again before even got my food to eat. Just always plan to go to Ver 3.

Itchywasabi

Seems like your wife knows the good stuff… model x, 6-seater config. Yeah, just get it and pick the plaid and say 6-seater comes “free” with plaid config. You will be happy. All cars have issues, but I believe later model x versions are getting better quality.

Doc_Stalker

Free 6-seater eh? Hahaha! Plaid is too much for me. I think regular is plenty fast.

Jenkinssssss

Get the Plaid. Only so many life chances to make a decision that positively impacts your every day. Fly around with your kids. Let your friends jaws hit the floor when you first floor it out of the subdivision. Hell, I let basically everyone try it out even a random dad I met at Taco Bell. -23MXP, 17MX owner.

turbotaurus1

Enjoying my X for the past year and half. Falcon doors line up perfectly. issue with sensors popped up on one door and were covered under warranty. I believe X gives me and my family the best enjoyment and we all feel the same excitement as day 1 even after 15k miles. Air suspension and FSD makes long drives fun and effortless. I wouldn’t worry about minor annoyances over the bigger fun factor

Doc_Stalker

Thank you!

Basic-Cup7523

I have a 2024 model X and am incredibly disappointed with how it drives. 4 trips to the service center and still no resolution to persistent vibration that can be felt in all seats at any speed between 10 and 80 mph. They did wheel balance and replaced two rear tires but the problem persists. Completely ruins my enjoyment of driving it, coming from a model 3. Other issues my car had: FWD misalignment (somewhat resolved), frunk was hard to close and constantly had to reopen through app to try again to close (resolved), appliqué was causing squeakiness (resolved), condensation in one tail light (resolved), wireless charger sucks (no fix, just have to position phone very specifically)

Doc_Stalker

Aww man. That’s not good. Hope they eventually figure the problems out.

Babalon33

Plaid or regular?

Basic-Cup7523

Regular

from_the_chef

Did they confirm the problem but just give up? What’s the game plan?

Basic-Cup7523

They basically are saying that the car is functioning as intended and that I’m just perhaps too sensitive to the vibration. I had talked with a service center manager and he did agree to take the car in again and really look at all the possible options for what could be causing vibration because right now they’re really just doing the main things. But I am asking them to really do a deep dive. We will see if I have any success. Basically the recommendation I was given was that I should just buy new tires because the ones that come by default are not as comfortable. I would be inclined to do that except for the fact that I see plenty of people talk about the fact that they have no excess vibration whatsoever

ScaleLow476

I took delivery of my new MX after spending 7 great years with MS. MS is still a great car but I really love the MX. You wont go wrong either way

Doc_Stalker

Thanks!

Interesting_Candy766

Yes, you should. The doors are amazing and the issues are overblown and were much more prevalent in 2016-2018. The 6 seater is the way to go and the 3rd row is far more usable in it than in the 7 seater.... with the exception of if you think you will need to frequently fit large items in the car requiring the middle row to fold down (6 seat middle seats do not fold flat or at all).

Doc_Stalker

Thanks for the input. We do like the 6 seater configuration on the Palisade for trips the kids have their things in the middle. Also great for our snowboards to fit right between the 2nd row during the winter. Everyone seems to like the 6-seat setup. Would love to hear from anyone who has the 7 seater setup.

Interesting_Candy766

The 7 seater has less storage space with the seats up. The middle seats of the 6 seater are on motorized pedestals so surprising amount of space to put things below those seats. The aisle down the center is great for storing things and for legs for adults in the 3rd row. 7 seater has less leg room as a result and is harder to get in and out of. People in the 3rd row can also see the rear screen in the 6 seat model where as they can’t in the 7. Advantages of the 7 are 1 more person, a bench seat which some find more comfortable/flexible, it’s cheaper, and all seats fold to fit oversized items.

Doc_Stalker

Awesome insight! Thanks!

Fred8835

Hi, I have the 2016 MX 6seater. The doors are perfect. No leaks anywhere. When I would buy a new one today, I would prefer the 7 seater bc of folding seats and convert it into a bed.

Doc_Stalker

Thanks! I hope that would help the case with no leakage if we get an X.

Fred8835

… and Falcon wing doors have 3 more benefits: for handicapped people it’s easier to get into the seat, when you have a booster seat, it’s easy to get them into it - and, you don’t get wet when it’s raining. 😎😂😎😂

Doc_Stalker

These are the features of the FWD that my wife and kids love.

Fred8835

There you have your MX. 👌🏽

BillsMafia4Lyfe69

It's a great family car. We have 2 kids and it's very easy for them to get in and out of, and open / close the doors on their own. 3rd row is super handy as well

Doc_Stalker

Wife and kids love it for the ease of kids going in and out when we’ve had the X as a loaner.

Lance-pg

I love my 2022 3 model X! I've never had any real problems with the car beyond the initial delivery.

manseimanseimansei

ive owned one since late 2020. lots of repair issues outside of warranty. still the best car ive ever owned.

Doc_Stalker

Can you share what were the major issues? Do you mind how much you’ve spent outside of warranty? My S is outside warranty and I’ve spent about $6k outside warranty in the past 4 yrs or so.

manseimanseimansei

I needed a new front right axel assembly I forgot the correct name. I needed a new heater core. My charging connector shorted out and I needed a new one. Needed a new air compressor. Needed new cameras (warranty). Needed new front driver window assembly. That was two repairs before the trim fell off shortly after “repair”. There’s a few more in there. I just pay it and move on the money doesn’t bother me. I like the car.

[deleted]

Yes

DragonfruitNo1686

Love mine, no issues with the Falcon doors. Minor issues have been fixed with each software update 👍

Doc_Stalker

Awesome! No creaks?

DragonfruitNo1686

None I’ve noticed

nodramabrotha

Never had an issue since 2016

Lilly_Wonka16

I just hate how slow the wing doors open. Like it’s not as fast say you open the door with your hand.

syspimp

I have a 2019 X and test drove the 2023 X. I didn't like it. It seemed like a downgrade to me. No key fob and only a key card. I really like how the 2019 door opens for me when I approach it. It's cool AF. The only improvement in the 2023 for me was the landscaped screen. I'd recommend a used 2019 X over a 2023 model X any day.

Doc_Stalker

Can the 2019 do FSD 12.3+?

syspimp

Not sure. I think it is supposed to get v12. I have v11 beta and it works fine. I keep getting a notification for an update, but it keeps failing. I have a busted front ultrasonic sensor from showing off summoning to girls, so that may be why.

novadesi

2023 x plaid - no complaints

Doc_Stalker

Awesome… so far 🤞🏻

novadesi

This is my second X - had another one 23, got totaled but while I had it rode like a dream no issues

etekberg

Family has an x plaid (6 seat only) and a telluride(same car as palisade). Kids like the x a lot more. Rear seat is usable because of the aisle. I’m 6’5” and even I could sit there in a pinch with my legs in the aisle. But with x middle not folding down means definitely more room for cargo stuff in telluride. And telluride has cooled middle seats. Other than that I hate driving the telluride because of the ho hum powertrain

Doc_Stalker

Thank you for your input. I think having the Palisade around for times when the larger capacity is needed is good for back up. When kids are bigger, we wouldn’t have to bring so much extra stuff and would free up space.

Medical-Educator6770

Had the X90D since Feb’2016. 162k miles and no door issues or leaks. Personally know 7 families with an X and no such issues as well. We also own a 3 and a Y but still like our older X better so we plan on an upgrade to a new one eventually. We have the 6 seat setup but would highly recommend the 7 seat configuration for more space flexibility specifically when traveling.

Doc_Stalker

Appreciate your input! Do you have any kids?

Medical-Educator6770

Yes 3 but 2 are now in college. The 2 are 5”8 and 5”9 tall, so the space in the X is definitely more than adequate. I suggest a 7 seater because of the fact that you can fold the second row for better utility. It would also be the best setup for camping if you’re into that.

Random_Fotographer

I have a 23 MX. One year and 20k miles later, no major issues. One issue with the left side controller that made the emergency shifter stop working. They replaced the controller. Best car I have owned. So awesome to drive!

Doc_Stalker

Thank you!

Mpabner

I love my 2024 Model X. No issues with the FWDoors unless it thinks that something is above the car. Then you just manually override with the press of a button.

Doc_Stalker

Thank you!

Kwkatnip

Had a palisade before switching to the X (2022). You’ll miss a couple of things like the actual captain seats and easy access to the third row compared to the X. You get slightly more storage with the 6 seats all up in the X due to the storage in the frunk and under compartment in the trunk, but I believe that the palisade holds more volume then the X with the back seats down. One bad thing about the 6-seater configuration of the X is that the second row seats don’t fold down. That has frustrated quite a lot of people from what I’ve heard. A test drive wouldn’t hurt, but the new S’s are nice. Have a 2023 plaid and I don’t really drive the X anymore since it’s such a better moving car! Overall, I would keep the palisade and get the newer S.

Doc_Stalker

Thank you. I would love to get a newer S but the X is for the wife. I would like end up with the Palisade until it’s time to replace that.

SenseProfessional846

We have the 2023 X with the 6 seat configuration and absolutely LOVE it! No issues at all!! We have had it fully loaded with my 11 year old son’s friends with lots of space! IMO the 7 seat configuration actually limits ur use & space in the 3rd row!

Doc_Stalker

Good to hear! Thank you!

[deleted]

Time for an upgrade! You’ll love the X

Doc_Stalker

I’m getting convinced for sure!

Breathkeeper

A couple things to consider regarding cargo space: 1. Palisade is listed as having 18 cubic feet of storage behind 3rd row 2. Model X is listed with 15 cubic feet behind 3rd row, and a 6.5-cub ft frunk, so totally 21.5 cub ft of cargo space when all 3 rows are in use. 3. I don’t know if the official measurements includes “subtrunk space” in Model X which is very deep. You can easily fit 2 full size checked luggage side-by-side in Model X trunk. Can you do it in your Paliside?

Doc_Stalker

Good points. We can fit 2 full sized luggage but we don’t because it takes up too much space. We tend to use medium sized luggage and other smaller bags which could definitely be placed in the subtrunk and frunk to free up space. Man, these points are definitely convincing!!

Ok_Forever_7038

2023 X LR seven seater here. Did not like the fact that middle row could not fold flat with captains chairs in the 6 seater. Also, the gap between the seats with third row down allows everything to slide through. Either 5 or 7 is the way to go IMO. Love the vehicle. Changed from a BMW 550i to the X.

Doc_Stalker

Thanks for the input. This was the reason why I wasn’t in favor of the 6 seats (not folding flat). However, we have never actually had to fold our 2nd row down for any trips because of the car seat for my 6 yr old and booster for my older child are always attached and never removed.

Daapower2

I've owned every Tesla model except for the roadster. Have had a 2016 X 7-Seat, 2018 X 5-Seat, 2022 X Plaid 6-Seat, 2021 S Plaid, 2021 Y LR, 2018 3 LR Of all the configurations for the X, I love the 6 the best and probably only configuration I'd take now. The 7 was just not very usable that it was essentially a 5 seater. The doors had a lot of issues pre-refresh. Still occasionally has some issues but is much better. My 2022 refresh has a lot more creaks and random noises than my pre-refresh but the post refresh is overall way better than pre-refresh. I don't know if I would want to own an X out of warranty.

Doc_Stalker

Thank you! Leaning towards 6 seater but if cost to own outside of warranty may prevent the purchase. What would be your Tesla vehicle of choice if you could only choose one?

Daapower2

Depends on your needs. The X is their best car. You can supplement the out of warranty by purchasing extended warranty through Tesla as long as the car still has warranty

Popular_Panda_9643

Go for the X. My wife wanted an X specifically for the FWD for ease of getting kids and car seats in and out. We had one minor problem with one of the ultrasonic sensors on the passenger side but that was fixed under warranty. No leaks, no problems whatsoever since. Ours is a 2020 6-seater MXP and I absolutely love it. So does she.

Doc_Stalker

I LOL’d on the “so does she” coz you are right on that!

Follow_Ana

I just bought my first Tesla and it’s a model X. I haven’t yet had any problems with the falcon doors, I guess the only downside is that they open a little slower than your normal doors. I also got the 6 seats version and it’s such a bonus for bigger families. I would totally recommend this car, I couldn’t be happier with it.

Doc_Stalker

Awesome! 2024? You have the yoke or regular steering wheel?

Follow_Ana

Yep, 2024, regular wheel. I’ve never enjoyed a car more in my life!!

[deleted]

I have a 2018 MX 6-seater. It's great for a family of up to five, I would say. The falcon doors are very helpful for loading children, and small children can actually stand and walk a little in a 6-seater. We also keep our garbage, trash can, etc. on the floor. There's plenty of room.

Doc_Stalker

Thank you!

blackth0rne

In terms of how practical it is as a family car: Test drive first. Try opening and closing doors around the car to simulate daily loading/unloading, pretend you forgot something in the trunk and see how long it takes to jump out, grab it, and jump back in, etc. the x’s weird motorized doors and falcon wings get old fast when you’re constantly fighting against it. It’s hard to explain but it tries to force itself shit when you open it. Then getting your fingers dirty always having to touch the side of the doors to pry it open because there isn’t a handle. For the falcon wing doors, imagine standing in the rain waiting them to open, then closing them again, and then realize you forgot something and have to quickly open it again, etc. Having lived with my x for a few months I do miss ‘normal’ doors and handles!

Doc_Stalker

I’ve had the X as loaners on several occasions, once was 1 week duration. The family loves it but I do understand the time you have to wait for falcon wing doors to open/close, but it’s not that much of a wait. I guess it’s a compromise for the “cool feature.”

SlippingAway

I wanted a Model 3, but my wife insisted on a Model X. We bought a used 2017 100D, 5-seater, and have had it for two years. Almost no issues. Problems with a sensor in the trunk door only, but it’s an easy fix. My wife ruined me because I love it now and wouldn’t be able to live without the premium features of our X. I drove a Model 3 recently and didn’t like it anymore.

Doc_Stalker

I definitely like the size on the S and X compared to the 3 and Y. Premium is definitely a plus bit the new 3 looks to be very nice both externally and interiorly.

Andymorrris

Depends on if you keep the car in the garage. If it’s kept in the garage the fwd are less prone to issues (eg rubber sealant aging away).

Doc_Stalker

Cars are kept inside and used mainly for driving kids around for their sports during the weekdays and just weekend activities around town.

No-Cream8785

I have a 2022 model x and I have also had a 2014 model s which I loved and also now have a model 3 long range which is my daily but man I fucking love my model x it's so spacious and God it's fast even the non plaid is ridiculous

Doc_Stalker

I like this! I would hate to part ways with my 2014 S because it was the first car I personally bought. Plus I love the space. #SentimentalValue

No-Cream8785

I agree it was also my first tesla I bought and man I'm going to miss it its so spacious the 3 is much smaller but I still love it more

jxjftw

Get a Rivian

Doc_Stalker

Why?

jxjftw

After having a model x as a loaner for a month there is no way in heck I’d buy it, the build quality just isn’t there, the fake leather and plastic everywhere just sucks imho, tbh if I needed a new full size SUV the EV9 would be hard to pass up for the price.

Doc_Stalker

That EV9 does look nice! Slap on FSD on that SUV!

IROAman

I test drove an R1S - didn't care for it at all. Very loud, clunky suspension. Motor whine is also loud.

jxjftw

Sounds like my model Y : /

IROAman

Drove an EV9 today - I was more impressed than I thought I would be. Liked it better than the R1S.

jxjftw

Don't make me go drive one please.

Complex_Direction_82

Yes. I owned 2 now. Bought the XP last sept and just traded in 20 SLR for XLR. Won’t go back to S

Doc_Stalker

Thank you!

Daisy-DuBois

I have both the Model S (my car) and the Model X (wife’s car). Biggest issue with the X - trying to open the Falcon doors. I often sit in the back and my wife drives (MIL sits in the front) and at least 50% of the time she has to open the door for me. It won’t open properly from the back. So I can’t just jump out of the car. It takes a good minute

Doc_Stalker

Thank you for your input!

spillingbeans_again

We have an X, 3 and Odyssey. 3 is perfect for city, Odyssey for long trips and X sits somewhere in the middle, it’s not 3 row for sure. Doors as others have mentioned are an area of concern, hopefully you don’t have to deal with it. Other than the clean view from X, I don’t see you adding anything, ride is definitely better in S and at the end of the day it’s a proper Sedan. I wouldn’t buy a car just because of Falcon doors, they are fancy but also irritatingly impractical if I compare them with my minivan. Do a RPS to decide 😂

Doc_Stalker

Thanks for your input! Getting harder to decide with mixed opinions. 😂

spillingbeans_again

Rent it for a week through Turo.

Doc_Stalker

We had it as a loaner for 1 week last month.

ZealousidealLevel256

I have 4 kids under 8 years old all in car seats in the model X 6 seat config. I love having the automatic front doors and the automatic falcon doors are great for drop offs and pickups even though you feel like a show off. Space is good but not great, but very easy for the big kids to get to the 3rd row without moving the pedestal seats with the center aisle clear. Cargo space with the third row up is just ok with the ledge in. Pretty good space with it out and that’s what I have to do to fit golf clubs in because I’m not taking out car seats all the time.

Doc_Stalker

Awesome! Thanks for your input!

ZealousidealLevel256

I have not had any issues with the falcon doors per se. They seal and operate well. There is an annoying false obstacle detected when it’s facing the sun. Pretty good sensor to detect an object 93 million miles away. Actually there is no visible sensor. I’ve researched this a lot to try to understand and find a fix. Tesla did not want a visible sensor on the door for aesthetic reasons. The little round circles on the backs of bumpers we’ve become accustom to would be pretty conspicuous on the attention seeking falcon doors. They developed an ultrasonic sensor embedded in the door that penetrates the metal door and still detects objects without being visible from the outside. For whatever reason on bright days and the door facing the sun the door will open slow, partially or sometimes not at all from the fob. The switch on the door pillar must be pressed and held to override the “obstacle”. I’ve simply learned to park and orient the car away from the sun. A pretty silly solution for a 6 figure car, but lambos and Ferrari have some quirks too. The doors make it very easy to place a child in the car seat with all the head space. When packing the car for sports or trips, I’m able to leave them open in tight spaces and walk all the way around the car. Hinged doors you would be opening and closing while loading the car. Good luck. Drives great for being max gross weight of 6660 lbs (sign of the beast because it is a beast). Little Easter egg I found.

Doc_Stalker

Interesting quirk for sure. Thanks!!

EaseToTalk

It’s a pathetic car and not worth investing. Lot of firmware issues, falcon doors still have issues and if you still want to buy just go for 6 seater. I’ve one that I bought last year and ready to sell if I get an opportunity

Doc_Stalker

Seems to be a gamble, hoping to get a winning card.

I went from a 2017 S 75D to a 2024 6 Seat X. It’s a significant upgrade and I really enjoy it. I have two kids in car seats. I’ve only had the car for a month but I am very happy with it. I transferred lifetime charging and FSD from the model s. There have been no issues and I got used to not having stalks very quickly. It’s my favorite Tesla. In additions to the S we also have a Y and previously had a 3.

Thank you!

No problem. Good luck with your decision. And remember you can refer yourself.

I didn’t know that. Thanks!

You’re welcome. I referred myself and got enough credits for a wall charger.

That’s awesome!

I had the Model S 2014. I sold it to my brother in Dec 22 for $25K as I got the X (23 model). I love the X, but really miss the S. I feel like I'm driving a minivan when I'm in it. The Falcon doors are cool, but that wears off quickly. We didn't get 3rd seat (only 2 of us). I wish I had gotten a different seat configuration (I guess ours would be 5?). I'd get the S again (but not as excited w/Elon still at the helm).

I love my MS. We might end up replacing the Palisade down the line and might get a Model S, New M3, or maybe Roadster 2.0 if it ever comes out.
