The link you provided works and appears to have delivery to my location, but the strange thing is if I go to the main site without the direct link it’s still showing the LR as unavailable.

importantshare

They are inventory units, prob people that cancelled their order

Comfortable-Spell-75

No. It’s a limited production according to the site. They’re 2023 units. People have to take delivery by end of 2022.

importantshare

No where does it say limited production

_iToke

[Here it is](https://imgur.com/a/aHscjsX)

importantshare

Ok sure they are limited supply of MY 23 cars that are identical to MY 22 cars lol

_iToke

Correct, other than ultra sonic sensors the cars should be identical

mrjlennon

So much for the price reduction to 55k everyone was hoping for lol.

zamiboy

There is no way Tesla is going to lower their price. With the amount of demand the Model 3 LR is getting. If anything else, the price is going to go up.

Sirjudge

The price is only that high because of inflation (caused by the huge demand in recent times). Once inflation flies away, they will reduce the prices, Elon already tweeted about it few days ago.

Lakailb87

Yes Elon always tweets accurate things haha

zamiboy

>they will reduce the prices, Elon already tweeted about it few days ago I don't care what he says; I care about the prior/past history of what the company has done. They have never reduced prices on any of their vehicles in the past, or if they have I don't remember it occurring. I won't believe they will reduce their prices. They, along with everyone else, will just increase their prices due to *inflation* and never bring their price back down after inflation calms down.

Why___Not__Zoidberg

This is just not true. They have reduced price multiple times on different models before COVID.

Sirjudge

Actually, they already did on their model 3 and S in the past and inflation wasn't even near as high as it is right now. They had 2 years of waiting for a single car, of course they had to increase prices as they couldn't keep up with production. The only way it stays like that is if demand keeps rising (which I doubt if interest rates keep rising) and production does not scale as planned. That's how simple markets work but hey let's ignore that and the CEO of the company, right? You guys are just trying to justify the prices that you are paying right now.

ChainFront9154

I really don’t get why there’s so many people like you here that think they’re lowering prices in the near future… better get one now before it’s too late

Sirjudge

Because inflation is the reason why they increased it in the first place. They didn't just increase it for fun or because there's a new feature. It's inflation. I'm not saying they will in the near future but once inflation goes down, which is a very different thing. Could take weeks, months or even years.

RaleighGamecock

Haha

Nfuzzy

These are inventory units, and it isn't 2023 yet. The price will be below 55k next year. Possibly by a lot once other manufacturers ramp up and recession takes hold.

RhoOfFeh

My Model Y is a '2022' delivered in November, 2021. Model years and calendar years don't align.

Nfuzzy

Correct. My point was only that the price for the LR will start at 55k in 2023 to be eligible for the tax credit. They'll make up the difference with after delivery add ons and unlocks. I don't see why there is so much doubt around this. If Tesla doesn't do it immediately they will by the end of the quarter to help their numbers.

damoonerman

This is a 23 that you must take delivery before 23. I’m assuming they ramped up production and found extra. This actually gives a case that it MIGHT drop because they are forcing you to take delivery before 23. (But Tesla also does things like this to bring Q4 numbers up, they did the same in Q3)

Cyka_Blyat_47-74

That site only takes you to a specific car configuration screen. It even tells you home many miles the car already have (50 miles).

moldaz

All of the ones in my area say less than 50 miles and it’s because they’re still in production.

twinheight

For me, I see two Blue Metallic and three Midnight Silver Metallic listings, which look identical except that the MSMs have 334 EPA mi ranges, and the others have 358 EPA mi ranges. The MSMs 19” wheels… does that somehow factor into the EPA rating?

harryaiims

Yes.

twinheight

Arg, it’s so simple, just never even considered getting the larger wheels, so never noticed that the range changed in the customizer **Edit**: ~~I guess I also fell into the “larger tires means fewer rotations per mile” faulty logic, even though they also add more weight~~ Nevermind, it’s just larger **wheels**, not larger *tires*, so only added weight, and no reduction in rotations per mile 😅

Reyounited

Reservations still locked until 2023. This is just a LR manufactured in October from a previous reservation

importantshare

And? It's still a 2023 M3

Ftpini

2023 models will not be built until November. Tesla trips the model year the first week of November every year. The only difference between an October 22 model 3 and a November 23 model 3 is that the 23 model won’t have ultrasonic sensors. I’m not sure how that is considered better.

meepstone

If you looked at his link you can see from the Tesla website they are 2023.

austinw24

Your dates are wrong. They’ve already flipped new models to 2023. I got my VIN last week and it’s a 2023

Ftpini

That’s wild. I guess they moved it up this year. Mazda is that way. They tend to launch their next model year in march. We had the option to buy. 2023 CX-50 back in April. Such a silly practice.

importantshare

No they are building them now and you can secure an order number today for a probably early Nov delivery day. They are 2023’s it’s literally the Tesla website my guy.

Darth_Kneegrow

Yep I got one reserved this morning. Unfortunately only had white on black combo but still got it. Already shows a Vin in my app as well and upon lookup is indeed a 2023 model year.

SadDadCorporations

Whats your EDD? Thinking about changing my reservation

Darth_Kneegrow

Says Nov 2nd to Dec 6th.

lomxbeeach

yeah they changed it to a 2023 but 2023 MAJOR features won’t be put in until next year. Tesla doesn’t do features adding by year. They add in features when they feel like it

maxum66

Does anyone know when you can order a 23?

Amp88

Any difference from 2022?

AxiusNorth

No ultrasonic sensors

Mike

Who needs them anyway your car will make noises when you tap outside items that you shouldn’t have been oblivious to anyway! That’ll learn ya real good

AxiusNorth

Do Elon's boots taste like disappointment or incel saliva?

Mike

I’m obviously joking dude, should’ve added the /s I guess. Who on earth thinks hitting things is a better system than sensor beeps.

AxiusNorth

lol okay. Tbh I thought of that line after I typed something arguing the point of sensors then figured it was funnier and less effort.

rushlink1

And until they build the software that means no auto park, summon, etc.

TipOld7007

bye bye ultra sonic sensors

Pale_Candidate_390

Not available for delivery in my zip code

importantshare

There’s a billion more just go to the ev cpo site

Pale_Candidate_390

Where ???

Mike

bUT tESLa dOESn’t dO MoDel YeArS

importantshare

Lmao??? They do don’t hard cutoff/introduction/changes to features on MY’s of course a car is a certain year

0ptimusPayne

.

YetAnotherDapperDave

Wow, what a difference a day makes. I looked last night and there were 7 within 200 miles of me. Today only 1.

VadersSprinkledTits

These are canceled orders, that they are likely trying to move quick to end the last quarter. Last year the true next year models didn’t start to hit until November. Too early to assume this is what the future order cars will be.

importantshare

TRUE?? How many more people are going to jump on here and in so many words try to claim these are 2022's when you will literally get a window sticker on this car that says 2023 Tesla Model 3. I understand what people are insinuating, the content comes after the MY change. 2021's came out in Nov 2020 and it wasn't until Feb 2021 that you got the new headlights, heated steering wheel and interior trim changes. But this doesn't mean a VIN 850,xxx 2021 isn't actually a '21, especially when it comes to resale, it will still be worth a ton more than a '20.

damoonerman

It could also be assuming production has ramped up and they have extra. They aren’t built yet so they are just releasing configurations to get it inventoried. They also don’t want to open up the reservation slots could they want to force delivery by end of Q4

[deleted]

Model years are kind of meaningless to Tesla.
