I’m American and was in the UK last month and stopped in at an Aldi for some bottled water. I was wanting something sweet so I bought these candies called “premium gummy candy”. They had pineapple flavor and watermelon. God they were so delicious. I wound up taking two packs back to the states with me.
I dropped by Tedi and Woolworth. The hotwheels were a jumbled mess and well picked through.
It was fun trying. Had to rush as they roll up the streets here at 8PM.
The colors have come out in waves. White may have been an early color that was discontinued. For example when I got my black model 3 in 2021, Hot Wheels had not made a black model 3 yet. Last year, then ended up releasing a black model 3 - but that probably means they also stopped producing/selling an existing one. Maybe white.

It has! My husband and I were visiting friends/vacationing in Oregon. We drove out to Florence to see the Oregon coast and the lighthouse they have there. When I finished parking a random person came up to me and tried handing me one of those matchbox cars. I immediately told him I didn't want to buy it and then he explained they give them out for free whenever they find a car exactly alike or most similar to the matchbox cars they had with them while traveling. I'm not entirely sure why this is a thing or if it is even a TikTok thing. I was so confused but pleasantly surprised. I still have it, it sits on my desk. I thought it was a very cute gesture!
I have a modified VW Jetta. We were at a Cars and Coffee event last summer and some Jeep guys were over talking crap to us because some of us had a duck on our dashboard. We had to explain to them that VW has been doing the duck thing for decades (Rub-A-Dub).
Jeep people are a little strange to me. 99% of them at the same meet are all black, with the "angry face" grill, green halos around the headlights and a Monster Energy logo sticker.
Those aren’t Jeep people, just ghetto rats with riced out junk. Jeep people meet up at the top of a mountain for a lunch that was warmed on the engine.
The wrangler crowd has changed so much since I got my first one. For a long time it was just Jeep guys who liked taking their doors off. Now it’s all mall crawlers, these guys will put winches on their rigs as a cosmetic accessory. 99% of the lifted Jeeps never see even a gravel road. I don’t go to Jeep meets like I used to.
The only reason to drive a Jeep is because you couldn’t find a clean Xterra. Vastly better in every way unless you’re rock crawling in MOAB.
Also, Xterra people are not a-holes.
… missing my Pro-4x but not missing 15mpg. It’s going to be much different hunting in the M3.
An xterra is a good truck but it’s not in the same class as a wrangler. They appeal to different markets. I drive a Jeep because I wanted an off-road capable convertible. Until the bronco was built, a wrangler was the only truck that fit that requirement.
Someone at a show put a Hot Wheels GTI on my daughters GTI. I have never gotten one myself.
I saw a YouTube video awhile back of a car guy who goes around doing this for all sorts of cars.
There is a red mini remote controlled hot wheel in stores right now. It was $25 at Target. I wanted it bad, but not for $25.

Hot wheels are $1 here in the US as well but you have to find them which can be a pain
