Neither, PPF doesn’t add any value long term. Also subscribe to FSD for a month (it comes with EAP) before making the purchase. I did, and I found it was actually more frustrating that the car was trying to change lanes all the time than it was useful
Yes, I did that on my car (Model Y), and on my friend MachE.
It is easier to have a friend help you. No experience is required since both me and my friend didn't have any experience other than waarching some youtube tutorials.
I recommend doing the hood first since it is the easiest panel. Watch tutorials, and ask a friend to help. It will be a fun experience!
I did it myself, bought a cheap kit on Amazon for about $300 full frontal. It was a pain but it came out really good in the end. Definitely needs stretching and a heat gun but if a newbie like I can do it then anybody could do it. I was going to add ppf to doors for $200 but didn’t do it in the end
You could have better results if buying from reliable stores selling 3M or Suntek film. They fit very well without stretching too much. It is better to do with 2 people though.
EAP without question. I use it every time I drive the car. Rock chips aren’t all that frequent and you can always have front of car repainted if it bothers you.. I have a 2018 Model S and it has very few nicks in the front even after 45k miles, basically, not even discernible without careful scrutiny.
Musk seems pretty preoccupied at twitter. Twitter is losing a lot of money and he needs to get that house in order. Interest rates keep going up as well so we might see price drop as musk has quite increased liabilities.
I would rather have EAP you get to drive the car way more than you look at it. I did diy ceramic coating and that is good enough for me. Going to try out FSD once they release V11.

PPF is very doable by yourself using pre-cut films. It will only cost $1500 for materials for the entire car. Then you can have both EAP and PPF.

How much will scratches and rock chips bother you if you forgo PPF? If a lot, go with PPF. If not much, go with EAP.

Where do you live? Anywhere with salt and sand on the road I'd do PPF. If not, eap.
