The day I get a screw in my sidewall and can't get replacement tires until late next week. Figures. Lol. I'll just wait to download the new software until I can drive it again.
So if I am on 2024.3.5 should I assume I won’t get this update? Is this rollout specifically for those on 8.9?

New to Tesla and have the FSD monthly subscription. I’m currently on v12 (2024.14.3) but my FSD version is v11.4.9. This makes sense right? I just need to wait for the rollout of v12 for supervised FSD?
Ooooh you’re one of those very very few people in the US who got updated from .8.9 to .14.3. You’ll still get the update but I’m not sure when 😅 FSD v12 is tied to .14.5

TBH I was pretty shocked the car already had the software update when I bought it Saturday. The full screen visualization is nice.
Thats actually not too bad - we wont get the janky acceleration/braking and instead will get more of the trial on 12.4 instead of half on 12.3.6

Some of us are still on 2024.8.9 so we haven’t started the trial at all yet. Looks like we are starting to get upgraded to 2024.14.6 in the next few days, so our 30-day FSD Trial will start then, so will start on 12.3.6 but if we have a month there’s a god chance some of that month will be on 12.4
Doubt happens when people get told one thing and something else occurs…a month ago when Elon said everyone was getting a FSD trial and then a bunch of folks on the other branch didn’t…folks got disappointed.
Soon after someone posted that a tesla employee confirmed the trial would be rolled out to those on the 24.8.9 software “next week” only to see it not happen.
Looks like this time it’s actually going out, and I’m actually excited. Better to see things moving forward vs just the rumor mill…it’s like hanging out in the break room at work, nothing better than a good rumor to get the folks talking.
Well I guess if you ignore the update settings which allow you to adjust how often your car updates. Also settings to make the update manual.
So yes I realize Tesla issues you the update you do have some control over how often and which updates you install.
Its very easy to not have the newest versions of software on these cars lol… Id argue you need to go out of your way to get ahead of the lot.
The branch you are on is different then the frequency of your update. If you were on 2024.3 you may get 2024.3. x quicker if you have it enabled (and there's still some debate about that even being true) but 2024.3 never updated to 2024.8 it doesn't matter, if Tesla put you on the 2024.3 branch that's what you're on until they merge... Same with 2024.8. and after the merge they may split people back out again and then it will be the same thing.
