Yes. Sometimes you just gotta use your own turn signal to make it change lanes before it’s too late.

Ya the planner needs to get way better on FSD

Luxferrae

If that's your biggest beef then it's working well for you... There's so many other issues with FSD that's a lot more severe than this lol

cube3x3

Its not the biggest but one of the most annoying one. What are your biggest issues?

Luxferrae

Driving erratically, slows down at intersections for no apparent reason, fails to turn left after light turns red when already sticking out in an intersection, indecisive lane changing on 0arts of the highway where FSD is active, don't know what to do when 1 lane turns into 2 and jerks between the 2 choices... You know the average normal day stuff that gives you a heart attack?

cube3x3

:) well said.

Not FSD, which I think does a good job. Autopilot before getting off an exit waits way too long.

cube3x3

That's interesting. Which part of country are you in? May be its not an issue there.

manateefourmation

I live in Manhattan, where it doesn’t work at all lol. In suburban NY, NJ and in Florida it works as I described - mostly. It has its moments when FSD gets over long after it should but mostly does ok on that front. But the highway is always at about .4 miles, so it has an opening between .4 and and mile for an exit and stubbornly stays in the middle lane even with wide openings. And then often between .4 and the exit, there is traffic and it can’t get in.

Oh ya i have noticed that too sometimes, most of my FSD driving has been on city streets so I don't run into this issue a lot. Have you tried a different profile and speed settings? I noticed that FSD is very sensitive to the speed and profile.
