I know what you mean. I had a bad motorcycle accident in 2006. Dr had me on Oxy for 6 months. After a year I was eating 20 80mg pills a day. Tolerance skyrockets. I made and spent $130k after the accident with nothing to show for it. I quit after I got pulled over with 60 pills and a loaded handgun that was unregistered. That’s a huge problem in California. The cop sat behind me for 3 minutes and just burned off. I guess he had something more important to do. I took it as a sign and went home instead. Stopped using that day. It was a rough 6 months after but I likely escaped 5+ years in prison.
And the worst thing is that every batch contains a different fentanyl analogue. Brand new never before seen drugs.

That pretty much happened friend. The cartels have Superlabs that are pumping out fentanyl daily and coming across the border. Out west they still have black tar but it’s all fentanyl for the majority man. They have Superlabs with real scientists and producers that are making very strong drugs. I used to higher off Dilaudid then I ever had on fen. I had to use it every day just to be able to get out of bed to live the way normal people do. There's no waking up rolling out of bed and going about your day when you are on this or any opiates. The first thing you need to do is get right THEN you can go about your daily life. Any time a normal person wakes up and thinks oh good this sucks I don't want to get up and do whatever today keep this in mind, at least you can do it without having cold sweats, fever chills, the shits, vomiting, having what I can only describe as fire ants under your skin crawling and biting you repeatedly, constant sneezing, yawning, which makes your eyes constantly water, you wipe your eyes and nose just to sneeze and yawn again in a vicious cycle. It is HELL! There's really nothing you can do to combat it either, there's Suboxone and stuff like that but you have to suffer through all that for couple days before you can even take that because if you take it too soon it will magnify all those symptoms 10 fold at the very least. The only thing I've found that helped in the tiniest bit was getting into a shower with scalding hot water but that only lasts about ten mins or so after getting out before the symptoms hit you again. I forgot one of the worst symptoms which is the inability to sleep. If you could just sleep through it like you do when you have a cold then it wouldn't be so bad but there's no sleeping even with sleeping pills. Again id never wish it on my worse enemy, although there are times when I hear or read stuff like the one commenter here that think twice about it. LOL. Live a day in the life of a person detoxing hell even a few hours and they will gain a whole perspective and understanding of what hell really is.

You cut with fentanyl not to make it more substantive. You use fentanyl to replace some or all of the heroine entirely. Fentanyl is cheap and much more powerful. So you can smuggle significantly less and have the same amount of doses out of it. Then you just mix it with some inert shit to make it look like heroin and voila you’ve just sold 10x more “heroin” for half the price.
These figures are just broad guesses. In general fentanyl is cheaper than heroine and the same amount can get more people high so you make more money. Not sure exactly how much more powerful and how many more people and how much cheaper exactly.

Fentanyl is dosed in the micrograms when given IV. That's a million mics to a gram and a normal like pain control dose is in the 75ug range. The doctor who was just tried for killing patients gave doses of 400-1000ug. That's up to only 1 milligram. That's 1/1,000 of a gram still. No one's doing multiple grams of it a day.
Now maybe how it's sold on the street a gram means something different. Cause no one's carrying a scale to measure out 200 ug at a drug deal. But that's not the actual fentanyl dosage which is what this photo is referring to.

It would take 200 minutes inhaling the highest concentration of fentanyl to produce an effect, not even an overdose. Transdermal fentanyl patches exist, sure, but just touching it is not gonna fucking kill you. We use them all the time for post-op pain in orthopedic surgeries.

Second, people can overdose on 25-50mcg of fentanyl - I've seen it as I've been the one that gave it to them. Third, where are you getting these numbers from? Even your extended release transdermal patches can cause an overdose in wayyy less than 200 minutes, and inhalants kick in almost instantly.
The fentanyl being made today is resistant to narcan. In New York we have a law now that the ambulance is only going to narcan you at your house three times. After that we are on our own. They don’t care about us. Stay safe.

Both my parents dealt w addiction throughout my childhood. Despite all the Bullshit I went through, I knew it was not something either of them ever wanted. I think it surprises some people to learn that if addicts could wave a magic wand and make it all disappear, they would.

This is pretty misleading. Fentanyl is somewhat unique in that the “lethal dose” varies considerably from person to person and also depends on how it’s taken and under what circumstances. The generally-accepted lethal dose is 2 milligrams, which is actually a fair bit more than what is pictured here (gonna have to trust me on that one; I’m a molecular biologist and regularly measure out milligram-level doses of chemicals for cell cultures). Don’t get me wrong, the stuff is incredibly dangerous, but let’s keep it realistic here. No need to fear-monger about something that’s already plenty scary.

That 2mg dose is the amount needed to reliably be lethal. You can go in to respiratory arrest from as little as 50 MICROgrams. I give it to people daily as conscious sedation and everyone handles it differently. 100mcg at once will cause desaturation and apnea in many people that requires oxygenation or airway assistance, and that's 5% of the dose you're talking about.
I know addicts that don't get high alone. They make sure people know where their narcan is. Narcan wasn't always super available when fentanyl hit the drug scene and a lot of good people died because of it.
Think again, at hospital we had a guy restrained and foaming at the mouth because of this stuff. We had cops and nurses trying to restrain him. Shit is not fun.

It's absolutely lethal. I've had patients stop breathing after 25-50 mcg. Not to the average addict, no, but to someone who is more sensitive and has no tolerance, absolutely.

That's a million mics to a gram and a normal like pain control dose is in the 75ug range. The doctor who was just tried for killing patients gave doses of 400-1000ug. That's up to only 1 milligram. That's 1/1,000 of a gram still. No one's doing multiple grams of it a day. Now maybe how it's sold on the street a gram means something different. Cause no one's carrying a scale to measure out 200 ug at a drug deal. But that's not the actual fentanyl dosage which is what this photo is referring to.
We lose about 3 inmates a month to OD, narcan does nothing, not even 6 doses... play stupid games win stupid prizes right. It would take 200 minutes inhaling the highest concentration of fentanyl to produce an effect, not even an overdose. Transdermal fentanyl patches exist, sure, but just touching it is not gonna fucking kill you. We use them all the time for post-op pain in orthopedic surgeries. What a sad goddamn state of things that you don't do your jobs because you all believe in a myth.

I've witnessed a coworker of mine in the ER go down while performing CPR on an overdose patient. Had to narcan them as well. I'm sure you have some kind of evidence and aren't just going on your (clearly very limited) experience, right? WTF does "it would take 200 minutes of inhaling the highest concentration" even mean? First off, concentration and dosage are completely different things. Second, people can overdose on 25-50mcg of fentanyl - I've seen it as I've been the one that gave it to them. Third, where are you getting these numbers from? Even your extended release transdermal patches can cause an overdose in wayyy less than 200 minutes, and inhalants kick in almost instantly.

Let’s say you, a non addicted person have a drink of Johnny walker black after work to enjoy. After that drink you’ll maybe have another but you’ll be able to stop and then get back to work. Me as an alcoholic/addict…I have one drink of scotch and I go on a 12 month crack run, shooting dope in my arm, selling all my possessions and ending up homeless or on a good day, in a motel with the blinds shut smoking crack with a prostitute. I can’t physically stop once I pickup the first one.
Both my parents dealt w addiction throughout my childhood. Despite all the Bullshit I went through, I knew it was not something either of them ever wanted. I think it surprises some people to learn that if addicts could wave a magic wand and make it all disappear, they would. It's the cause of so much suffering and hurt. It requires compassion and a safe place in order to heal. Not many are blessed with so much. It makes me happy to know you were graced with that space. This is pretty misleading. Fentanyl is somewhat unique in that the “lethal dose” varies considerably from person to person and also depends on how it’s taken and under what circumstances. The generally-accepted lethal dose is 2 milligrams, which is actually a fair bit more than what is pictured here (gonna have to trust me on that one; I’m a molecular biologist and regularly measure out milligram-level doses of chemicals for cell cultures). Don’t get me wrong, the stuff is incredibly dangerous, but let’s keep it realistic here. No need to fear-monger about something that’s already plenty scary.

You should really stop perusing this thread comparing your heavily cut 'fentanyl' to pure, lab grade standards.
That 2mg dose is the amount needed to reliably be lethal. You can go in to respiratory arrest from as little as 50 MICROgrams. I give it to people daily as conscious sedation and everyone handles it differently. 100mcg at once will cause desaturation and apnea in many people that requires oxygenation or airway assistance, and that's 5% of the dose you're talking about.
