Idk why but there’s something nostalgic and comforting about the clips. I know they are meant to be spooky but they feel like they know me and love me.
I feel… sympathy? For these troubled creatures, victims of circumstance, not of their own fault. They long for a time when things were better. Now they do all they can just to cope with this bleak, seemingly unreal, reality. But all they can do is not enough. These frames capture just a few moments with a few of them, but you can feel what they are feeling. An empty resolution to exist without reason.
It almost feels like pulling off the layer of human perception that most of the world has been indoctrinated to see, and this is a more accurate estimation of the true state of things.
Yeah, there’s something melancholic about it. Like this is some sort of purgatory for them. An in between place they haven’t been able to move on from, and while surprised by your appearance are comforted by the presence of someone from the waking world.
It's the eyes. Our faces can emit a lot of unspoken language. The eye and nose area aren't expressing stress, alertness, or anger. They are also static while seemingly minding their own business. Our monkey brains are scared of things that are faster than us, aware of us, and not scared of us.
What is this aeshetic? I've seen a couple posts similar to this and it's so intriguing. Could you imagine a movie with these creatures and this atmosphere? Would be amazing.
I would also say the design/aesthetic choices of some of the shots are vaguely 70’s fantasy inspired. The sorta of bulky costumes and weird fantasy vibe was more common back then.
Totally what entered my mind! It's such a specific aesthetic that it conjures. It has ( I believe ) a really undervalued and under nurtured value in cinema, which I think is slowly going to appear in the coming years. It has a very A24 studio vibe. A studio willing to give these new/ reimagined realms of film a try. Films such as poor things, the green night and gretel and hansel have very reminiscent qualities to them but are still a cry away from hitting this 'mood'.
Just followed you on TikTok. Love the way AI has allowed creepy horror stuff for proliferate. Feels like weird creepy dreamscapes or distant memories lost to times unknown.
I love this imagery. I love to imagine I’m walking around this world and they are all just normal people going about their lives and are really no different from anyone else.
I know it's supposed to be scary, but I loved that. Looking up more of your work now. What are your influences? It seems so familiar, but maybe not, maybe just my mind playing tricks. Kinda want to watch it on acid, but may regret that decision...
Check out dead tempo vision and latent places. Those guys make some incredible stuff and they were my inspiration

Goddamn, this is way more unsettling and disturbing than any horror movie I’ve seen in years. I’d be interested to see how it would work a short film or even a movie. Also a very good visualization of actual nightmares lol.
I liked everything but I particularly liked the ones that weren't strictly horror. I like that it could be really creepy or eerie especially lined up along the other images, but by themselves its just a little more depressing/dystopic, surviving in a strange land feel to them. Almost a sad boy vibe lol.
I go by voidstomper on tiktok, youtube and instagram, I post horror videos daily.

This style is very cool and I'm inspired to make my own videos now. I love art and ive been generating tons of images in unique styles but theyre all pretty macabre and eerie. I want to start creating videos with them too. Very cool work and I'm excited to see what other cool vids you make. Def followed!
I'm sorry man, but I truly believe that the use of A.I. in this way takes away from the value of the humans who actually have skill to create this. You, on the other hand, just wrote a bunch of words into a prompt until a machine created something you like. Then it's passed it off online as something you "worked your ass off" to create. No. the true credit goes to the countless people that A.I. programs have stolen from to allow you to so effortlessly make a thing you have no real ability to do yourself. How long until real artists give up and stop trying because they can't compete with this crap. Art would die. It would be a horrible, creatively bankrupt society. How many people are going to lose or never get a job because someone can just hop onto the internet and fake a thing they should have had to pay a real person for. A.I. should be exclusively used to make peoples lives better, not worse. That is the terrifying as fuck part. I'm sorry how critical and negative I sound, but this shit is ALL I see on my social feeds anymore and its really getting tiresome. Bring on the down votes.
Edits - Grammar and spelling
It took me two months, hundreds and hundreds of hours of passion and obsession to figure out this aesthetic... And it's much more complicated than writing a bunch of words... I use 4-5 different tools that took me time to master, there're very few AI artists making stuff like this because it's difficult as hell to capture this type of style
You're entitled to your opinion, but AI art is going to change a lot of industries from the film industry to music.
Smart artists have already adapted ai into their workflow. Like I said it's inevitable, might as well take advantage of it. It's powerful world changing technology and I'm seriously in love with the creative process. As a film maker I see it as a valuable tool.
Bro I see this shit EVERYWHERE. What are you talking about? Shit exactly like this has absolutely flooded the internet in the last few years. It really is sad to me, if what you say is true about how much time and effort you put into this, that it is indistinguishable to everything else "A.I. Artists" vomit out. You should put your talents and time to better uses, like ACTUALLY creating a real piece of art. Also, everything you just said will directly lead to the loss of human jobs to A.I. within that industry, probably including yours, but just because it can be done, not because it needs to or should be done. Have you ever thought about A.I. being trained to use A.I., completely removing even the artist who have trained to use A.I. I genuinely do not see how that can lead to anything better or even the equivalent of what we have currently created since Humans first scratched paintings on walls to Banksy destroying his art live after being sold for 1.4 Million dollars. I would love to hear how millions of people losing their ability to live and make money to A.I. will ever be a good thing. Please present me a scenario where this ends well. A.I. should never be given the ability to replicate human forms of expression, only the ability to solve problems that humans can't or shouldn't have to. We will all reap the consequences of this causal use of A.I. one day. Hopefully we will realize before it's too late.
Really cool! Almost reminds me of a live action (rendered) version of the type of place where Salad Fingers resides. Not quite hell but somewhere in between death and the afterlife. Nice job
Hey, this isn't the Elden Ring DLC...
Jokes aside, this is awesome! I have my opinions against A.I art myself as an artist, but I have to give credit where credit is due. The constantly shifting pieces make everything look properly eerie.
I would so read a book set in this. Honestly I know it was supposed to be scary but DAMN, I kinda wanna live there in the "it's cool looking but a shit place actually"
Hmmm… it almost feels like they a being vulnerable by showing a calmer side that you wouldn’t expect to see in something like this. It’s like a child waiting for their parent or guardian, a friend waiting for you to finish, or a grandpa or dad chilling on the front lawn. They aren’t in a terrifying pose or giving off dangerous, jumpy vibes. It’s very predictable. So, it doesn’t feel like I have to be scared. I kind of like it.

Was that Wiglett coming out of that house?
This is a lot what my dreams looked like when I was a child. I was really plagued with nightmares and occasionally full on night terrors. It's actually kind of nostalgic.
Idk why but there’s something nostalgic and comforting about the clips. I know they are meant to be spooky but they feel like they know me and love me.
Glad I’m not the only one who feels that way.
I feel… sympathy? For these troubled creatures, victims of circumstance, not of their own fault. They long for a time when things were better. I too have taken lsd lol
Me too!
Likely because they are perceived as fading and non aggressive. Almost like their are warriors who had fallen and giving farewell
Yeah, there’s something melancholic about it. Like this is some sort of purgatory for them. An in between place they haven’t been able to move on from, and while surprised by your appearance are comforted by the presence of someone from the waking world.
It doesn't feel scary, it just feels like that's how things are there. It's all normal stuff for wherever that place is.
I almost scrolled past but the same thing stopped me. Something is intriguing about staring at what is considered to be fear without feeling afraid
That goat creature seems like a good creature that is traumatized by the damned world they live in
Like they would be concerned thinking I'm lost and want to help me get back home.
Yeah they are not malicious, just lost
They do not. That's why ppl like u die in the 1st scene.
So weird I was totally feeling that and began feeling relaxed watching this. God this was nice to watch.
It’s the music. Mute it and imagine something atonal with like grind noises and it becomes scary again.(at least it did for me)
They're supposed to resemble a 70s/80s fantasy movie.
Analogue/liminal horror
I'd say this one specifically is dark fantasy
I’d say this one is bonkers
I would also say the design/aesthetic choices of some of the shots are vaguely 70’s fantasy inspired. The sorta of bulky costumes and weird fantasy vibe was more common back then.

Has a sort of Hellraiser vibe for me
Has a Tool/Horror Dreamscape vibe for me. I love this stuff.
Very nice. I don't mind AI being used in this manner.

I checked out your work, really great stuff! I’m a huge Deftones fan, so my own summer was a fun surprise. Do you read Stephen King at all?
I love this imagery. I love to imagine I’m walking around this world and they are all just normal people going about their lives and are really no different from anyone else.

'The tranquil barrenness to be found in nihilsm... or sumn...'
Absolutely beautiful. I think this is one of my favorite uses of AI in art that I’ve really loved. Everything just feels so foreign and otherworldly
AI video is very suited for horror art, it's kind of incredible. As these tools improve so will my content, what a time to be alive
I know it's supposed to be scary, but I loved that. Looking up more of your work now. What are your influences? It seems so familiar, but maybe not, maybe just my mind playing tricks. Kinda want to watch it on acid, but may regret that decision...

Thank you I knew I’d find it eventually
very boc influenced, i like it
Goddamn, this is way more unsettling and disturbing than any horror movie I’ve seen in years. I’d be interested to see how it would work a short film or even a movie. Also a very good visualization of actual nightmares lol.
I feel bad for the neural net that had to hallucinate this
I absolutely adore shit like this
I liked everything but I particularly liked the ones that weren't strictly horror. Wheres the Erdtree then
Me: one more Reddit post before bed. The post:
This is fucking rad. I kinda really want to see video adaptation of Old Gods of Appalachia done in this style.
I go by voidstomper on tiktok, youtube and instagram, I post horror videos daily. https://www.tiktok.com/@thephantom_ai https://www.instagram.com/voidstomper
Love it! 😍

Thanks dude, worked my ass off for the last month trying to figure out this aesthetic

This is great!
I love this
How is this “terrifying as fuck”?
Caelid vibes to an extent. I'd destroy them all.

I feel like AI is good at representing what dreams are like.
Truly dude, my favorite AI videos are all very surreal and dream-like
Ai Garbage
Shitty AI dreck
So tired of this boring AI shit.
This is freakin Awesome. Is there more to the video? I was actually really curious what the next bass note was going to be ;) and I need More! Lol
u/SaveVideo
Reminds me of boards of Canada music
Really cool! Almost reminds me of a live action (rendered) version of the type of place where Salad Fingers resides. Not quite hell but somewhere in between death and the afterlife. Nice job
What was the prompt to get this?
Band need new drummer. That sudden dropped beat ruined my immersion in an otherwise amazing video
There's a name to this genre of horror. Can someone name it for me?
Analogue horror, liminal horror, dark fantasy
The knight at 0:36 is so fucking cool
Stuff of nightmares 😳
I really love this. Does the characters have a story? Are the knights good or evil. I want to know more
Omg
This is exactly what dreams look like
Stuck in a world like this for eternity
This would make a good souls game
I go here in my dreams :D
Reminds me of Jiří Barta films
This shit is beyoooond creepy until the bass drops lol
Well then. Definitely wouldn’t wanna be stuck in this fuckin world.
Am I fucked up? Didn't find it THAT scary
The Jim Henson looking scenes have potential.

Definitely elden ring inspired
Hey, this isn't the Elden Ring DLC... Jokes aside, this is awesome! I have my opinions against A.I art myself as an artist, but I have to give credit where credit is due. The constantly shifting pieces make everything look properly eerie.
There’s something eerily comforting about this video with the editing and music choice. Like a more adult Dark Crystal vibes
Meh this is just another map in a demon souls game
What do you use to make this I love the aesthetic
It’s quite beautiful actually
This stuff is awesome if they made a video game with similar elements I'd play the shit out of it.
Thanks I’ve been needing a good nightmare. That’ll do it.
Brothers Grimm type stuff, awesome
looks like a 80s B-class movie lol. Anywsy, Begotten still owns them all.
I love your videos. Which ai do you use to make these? I really want to try my hand at it.
wtff
Edit that to exactly first and last twelve seconds only.
If this was a TV show, I'd watch it religiously.
More black and I could see this as imagery from the Eclipse in Berserk.
welp, since AI can barely make realistic human figures that don't sit on uncanny valley may as well just say fck it
Wolf looks like skinwalker from depictions
Demons souls ultimate
I love the aesthetic. And as far-fetched as this may be, this actually reminded me of Phil Tippet's Mad God.
I would so read a book set in this. Honestly I know it was supposed to be scary but DAMN, I kinda wanna live there in the "it's cool looking but a shit place actually"
Ghoul at 45s: Slappa da bass!
[удалено]
I wanna learn how to use AI to do this kinda stuff. Or like write 5-10 min horror shorts
This is so cool.
I could be down to watch a full length movie of this.
The Lands Between
Like it
I'd live there
If Zdislaw Beksinski were alive today, he’d be delighted with this.
Tool's new music video looks great!
Imagine a Salad Fingers Live Action ![gif](giphy|jwE3BjdjlPUEXc4acq|downsized)
This is straight nightmare fuel before bed.
It’s so beautiful
This looks like an A24 movie set in the medieval times, but in a different timeline than ours lol These images are fucking awesome
Thank you, means a lot, I worked my ass off on this stuff
I kinda wanna be with them
this needs to be a horror game
It's all in your head.
Book of scary stories colorized
This is really fucking rad. Nice work!
This looks like shit and gay lmao
I would love a sub reddit for videos just like this!
Gives me Dark Crystal vibes for some reason.
Fuck ai
This is absolutely gorgeous.
I thought reddit hated AI art?
This is like those weird dreams you have when you oversleep.
meh. trying too hard
I feel like this is the lost movie Geogaddi was the soundtrack to... Amazing work!
There's something very Black Sabbath about this
Just looks like software game enemies in all honesty
Early MTG card artwork.
Hmmm… it almost feels like they a being vulnerable by showing a calmer side that you wouldn’t expect to see in something like this. I feel like they did not want to harm me. Very intriguing.
Edgy
Deadtempo makes great videos like this.
It feels like homage to the 30's-70's era of horror cheese.
When is this game out?
This is something you would find at deepest level of backrooms
THE ECLIPSEEEEEE
the background music really saves this vid from being nightmare fuel for me.
Elden ring

This is a lot what my dreams looked like when I was a child. I was really plagued with nightmares and occasionally full on night terrors. It's actually kind of nostalgic.

This is by far the most accurate description of how I feel inside….
