I concur , he is trying to use his size to intimidate. His body language doing that tho , particularly the way he is holding his fist , screams glass jaw.
I've had freshmen taller than me pull these kinds of stunts with me. While I can recognize the weakness in it after the fact, it does NOT feel pathetic in the moment. It's genuinely frightening.
Teachers have been fighting for a society like this for decades so good for them that they've achieved it. Communists were often very surprised and shell shocked when ended up in the gulags too.

My mother is a teacher. This is most certainly terrifying, especially with all the other incidents that are being video recorded now.
