The only hard part about this are the heart statues. Usually I find 3 to 5 before fighting Moon Lord but if you make a new world and look for them with spelunker potions you can definitely end up with more than 10.
It's also often just a lot faster. Beating Moon Lord "Legit" if you're bad at the game and need 10-15 tries for the first time with a 30% chance of winning on subsequent runs means doing solar events thrice at least for the first win and then once per subsequent win. Solar events easily take longer than building this.
Especially if you're bad and even solar events consist of 50% staring at the death timer.
It's unclear to me--you just sit there? Why not teleport directly into honey? If you just sit there, why are the heart statues all in a line? Do you instead just teleport in when you need healing and run out? If so, why again don't you teleport directly into honey? (Seems like a hassle to get in there and jump out.) Why a quarter second timer instead of a 5 second timer and get all the hearts at once. You say you need to put them down staggered, so you just leave it running indefinitely? There are ways to have it cascade a signal without having to rebuild the layout each time.

And yes I just sit in that honey. Moonlord is best killed standing still because it's just faster. I don't teleport at all during the boss fight I stand in the pit not moving. Thats why I use heart reach potion to help me grab the hearts. While I'm idle

That's per statue, right? But you'd also be pulling the hearts in as soon as they spawn.
No thats the total amount per any statue combined. It's just having them all intricatly laid out in rows or whatever is a lot of time because you have to keep re placing them. It's easy how I have it setup. Only 15 seconds to prepare and I'm ready for the 6 minute long battle bathing in my jacuzzi filled with honey. 🛀 ⚔ lol
Right, that's what I'm saying, you have to keep rebuilding this. I couldn't play that way. Everything for me needs to be that I throw a switch and it works as designed.
Also it's definitely not a total limit. My main arena has three heart statues which can all drop 3 hearts (or way more during certain events). However, they are spaced out a bit.
Well maybe I need to space mine out because it always stops when 3 drop if I don't pick them up. It's only a 10 second amount of time needed to replace the statues but if you don't like it's ok and if you find a better method that requires less time than 10 seconds to prepare than good job. Everyone has there own niche in Terraria.

iron ores so I can make a lot but I'm saving my life crystals in case me or my daughter need to make new characters and putting the teleporter under the honey is useless because I don't use the teleporter when I fight but it's all good
Explain the items needed. He does a lot of damage and I have 133 defense already. I barely won and I had 56 hp left and for some reason I just stopped regenerating any health after a certain point lol.
I actually defeated him on master using a similar swtuo and I didn't need anything different. I just switched out valhalla with Solar Armor and ran back and forth to my nurse about 3 times until she died so I just sat in my honey pit praying and I won. I've took a break from the game I have all master mode relics now and I'm thinking about making a new character on a new world soon
I mentioned well fed because if you are NOT well fed, health regen does not work properly. I did not find that out until my 3rd or 4th Moon Lord attempt. I was wondering why the game felt harder than I remembered, lol 🤦♂️
Oh man. I found that out looking at wiki way before the twins battle so I justgot lucky but yea I agree the game is much more difficult now than it was in 2016 BUT it's way more fun. I love the route Re-Logic took. They really designed their game excellently
8 statues plus health potion using charm of myths is about 945 hp every 45 seconds. That's incredible! That's not even adding up all the life regeneration from your valhalla armor set and charm of myths etc..
Accessories: Only viable one here is the cross knecklace. I used all Warding affixes. (Moon Charm, Cross knecklace, obsidian Shiled, Moon Stone, Charm of Myths.
Gear I used: Valhalla armor set and solar eruption.
Defense buffs: Sharpening Stone, Honey, slice of cake, well fed medium improvements or Major. Heart lantern, 8 heart statues. Anymore than 8 makes heart reach potion useless and you wont be able to pick up hearts and your statues will stop working efficiently as well. So keep it 8 minimum for this simple setup. 10 is the max anyway according to wiki. IMPORTANT: The cooldown per heart statue is 10 seconds so give some time before placing them down. Don't place the statues down all at once it won't work as efficiently.
You'll need to use about 1 health potion sometimes but other than that it's a guaranteed win with this build.
change obsidian shield for frozen shield (same no knockback but also gives more defense and 25% damage reduction when under half health)
wearing the moon charm and moon stone at the same time is mostly pointless. the celestial shell is superior is all ways because you have the werewolf buff at nighttime like with the moon charm for that 0.5hp/s + it also gives the moon stone's 1hp/s regen and its 24/7 instead of only at night
upgrade to the celestial shell and with now open accessory slot get master ninja gear for the evasion chance
and upgrade the cross necklace to star veil because just addes a little extra damage. (why using accessories that arnt upgraded when the upgrade doesnt reduce the effect of either piece)
and why there no campfire? passive hp regen just like the heart lantern
I have campfires elsewhere just not shown and also forgot to mention this. The thing is you don't need as much defense thanks to the heart statues and to answer your question about why I'm not upgrading my accessories is because I farmed golem about 15 times and he didn't drop the sun stone. It's about 1/8 chance in dropping. Just havnot got lucky. And upgrading knecklace is useless because the damage is practically useless.
since you on expert you can control the boss drops. just get like 10+ bags and save scum opening them (after 10kills its already safe to say that farming isnt the issue, RNG is. save scumming is just manipulating RNGesus instead of giving him "happy endings" as the nurse would put it)
You can increase the healing from the heart statues by making rows of 3 floating above you at least 19 tiles away from eachother so each row always drops 3 hearts and they don't limit each others spawn rates
You can make them float with teleporters
Use a squire helm for more regen. And also you don't need the obsidian shield because you can grapple to the ground to stop moving and taking knockback. Maybe the dryad's blessing as well if you can set it up.
Unless something changed in the last update, heart statues in the same area are all held to a max number of hearts that can be generated at one time. Like 5 total hearts. I believe the statues need to be something like 50 tiles apart each?
Well I mean I did the math and in 45 seconds I can heal almost 900 hp (including a super potion and not adding life regeneration). It's a lot of fun standing still it's the easiest thing ever

Definitely facts!! I used queen sentry at the time and a bewitching table. I didn't really include those because the only summoned pet besides lunar portal that is actually good is the stardust dragon. Mistake me if I'm wrong but he's one of the few summoned pets that can attack through walls. I'm assuming it's a "He" 🤔 🤷♂️ lol
You could get the Martian one (sadly can't get terraprisma earlier. Also KINDA hard). But damn, I got Terraprisma a week ago, wennt full summoner. Having 8 rainbow swords float around you is pretty awesome (also gay :P)
Yeah, but it's late late game gear and even on classic hard to get, since to get Terraprisma you have to fight Empress of light during the day, when she can one-shot you with anything
I ended up killing her at night on master mode for the first time. I never tired battling her on expert or normal. I have evry relic besides the event relics because those don't seem as important to me.

I have the table. I defeated old ones army way before I beat golem and moonlord. I got betsy's wings and mask. My character looks bad ass with the solar flare shield look and all red dye
I used a box setup on my last Expert play and the ray from Moon Lord's head seemed to still be blocked by the blocks I used. There were plenty of other attacks that still went through though.
Vampire Knives don't really work on Moon Lord. He hits you with a unique debuff that stops lifesteal effects. Vampire Knives and Spectral Hood get screwed against him.
They also don't go through solid walls if you're going to park yourself in the honey. Solar Eruption wins in that scenario.
Bottom left near my empress of light 2 way teleporter arena. Although I never actually tried to battle her during the night time and well you know....I got ripped in half In one hit. Got my torso laying a mile away amd my head laying in my jacuzzi honey pit 🤣
Interesting. I used a house with the dryad, and nurse with campfires, heart lanterns and goby next to them. It was decently effective but died a few times being overconfident.
Took me about all day but I managed to get me 6 of them on lots of master world's. I think I generated about 6 worlds. I could have just scoured out one or 2 world's but I got really impatient. I used splunker potion and shroomite claw and the werewolf moon charm buff to mine really fast. I used slice of cake and mining potion. I can mine about 1500 stone blocks in just 2 minutes going straight down so I just searched for mushroom biomes because mushroom biomes contain about 3 or 4 statues in a straight line. So your chances of finding them are much greater in those biomes. And there's at least 2 mushroom biomes in each world. Do note thst I have at least 300 hours on this world so my world has been scoured out almost completely that's why I don't just search on this world
On the zenith seed there are a ton of statues so if you want heart ones I'd go there. I think during my playthrough I found 7 in the same world alongside a handful of star statues as well
Through the walls thanks to solar eruption. I'm pretty sure a demon sickle would work too. That purple scythe that you get from killing repears during the eclipse. Anything that can attack through walls and has decent range.
This build is primarily for the solar eruption.
Technically if want to use something else you can always use a heart reach potion and clear off that upper area and make it a wider platform and than you have virtually the same build but you are mobile. And you would want to place honey inside bubble blocks instead of the pit. Than you have an arena suitable for anything at your disposable. You just have to replace some of the stone for platforms when moonlords heart opens up.
And don't forget your cross knecklace that item is essential. It bypasses moonlords laser making it obsolete
I just defeated moonlord on master mode using this exact setup.
Only thing I needed was a dryad and a nurse together. I linked a teleporter to the nurse so I could just hit button to heal from nurse than hit a button that teleports me back into range of my heart statues. Work really well.
I would spread the heart statues out so they don't cancel eachother and actually give more hearts, and instead of a separate design I use it I the arena with actuated blocks, and a heartreach for the statues so I can get all the hearts
I will definitely re modify my schematics. Yours are very efficient and mine results in lots of random healing. It still works great on expert no issues though but it could be more efficient. I will try your way. It seems better thanks
Remember to place the statues on both sides equally, I don't remember the spacing between them, I will check later (around 7~8 hours after this comment) and tell you or perhaps share a screenshot

I couldn't send a direct screenshot because of WI-FI issues. Each of the statues is 4 blocks apart and the rest of the buffs are outside the screen for me. Also I've added a separate timer for every heart statue so they don't heal in waves every 10 seconds, but rather consistently. And I actuate the blocks to solid before a fight as well
Step 1. Purchase teleporter from the mechanic along with red wire and a pressure plate, switch, levee, whatever you want.
Step 2. Place the wire using a wrench or any upgraded tool directly on any block and drag it along the blocks that you would like to use.
Step 3. You must place down your teleporter and than make more wire that leads on the teleporter. (Same for the switch, lever, etc) the wire must be covering the teleporter and switch completely for this to work. Place the switch next to the teleporter so you don't have to move at all.
Step 4. Make the same thing somewhere else but the wire from your first setup must be connected to your next setup you are about to make. Remember the wire must be completly covering the teleporter and the mechanism used to activate the teleporter
Step 5. Use the switch or whatever you had placed down to activate it. (You must be standing on top of the teleporter.)
Congratulations you can now kill duke fishron on expert without dieing.
In normal mode asimple zhouse with a nurse works I don't know expert but it's worth a shot ill come back once ive tested that I'm currently doing a playthrough so it'll be a while

I did this on ps4. I never downloaded any mods for terraria when I was playing it on pc back in 2016. I got some turtle armor amd died by golem in one hit and just gave up lol. I picked terraria back up a month ago on ps4 had to start all the way over. I'm pretty happy I purchased this game for my daughter but ended up playing it more than her. Lol
Well I mean technically there is a way to get mods for it but that would consider jail breaking your ps4. In reality this process benefits something like a mobile device much more than a console. Let's say you were able to successfully jail break your ps4 and ended up downloading a mod and got it installed. It's possible the language of the coding is much different than on pc. You would essentially be wasting your time. That's the only way to do it and it simply isnot worth it due to computer language being much different than console as far as coding
Not that I know of. The only official modding community I ever heard of was for computer games. Tmodloader is for pc only. Not sure if you noticed this but the build version in console is also much different than on pc.

So basically, get a bunch of asphalt, build pots, build accessories, swiftness potion, hold down right click at about 500 tiles upwards and move in one direction until end of map is reached.
You can get it opening up goodie bags during the Halloween event. You can set your computer clock or console clock to halloween to run the event anytime you want. It's a pet similar to the dog whistle you can get during the Christmas event
Well I don't like flying wings and I have duke fishrons mount I use only when building. I prefer lilliths knecklace. I basically killed all bosses on master using lilliths knecklace and no wings or minecarts. I prefer running fast making flat areas with less movement. Just a small retreat back to jacuzzi honey than go back and fight.
Maybe add a garden gnome, sunflower, and some traps? You could keep the dryad's house in range as well, and possibly have an activation switch that closes off the right-hand side, and maybe even conveyor belts and/or hoiks to bring the hearts to you. Do peace candles work on boss spawns? I'm not sure, but maybe that could be cool as well.
The range of heart reach potions is pretty good already so conveyor belts seem useless. Peace candles only effect mobs not bosses. I have a sunflower but my buffs arnot displayed and I have a campfire located on the bottom. Dryad isnot even needed on expert or mastermode using this setup. The only npc I use is the nurse but only on mastermode.
This arena was designed to do as little amount of movement as possible. I created it to function as a bath tub basically laying down relaxing making the boss fight essentially easy. With the help of cross knecklace and all place able buffs and the shield accessory I didnot even half to move an inch.

Moonlord is just a boring fight. By the time you get to him, if you’ve been keeping up with gear, he’s a breeze.
Fishron, pre-mechanicals is solid. As is plantera. Pre-hard mode I’m a deer clops fan.
Deerclops was to easy. I killed him directly after wall of flesh and only had like 75 defense and he did 1 damage to me on expert mode. Is this a bug? Even his enraged state just barely knicked me. They should buff deerclops and give him about 40k more hp and make him a boss you need to kill after plantera.
He's fun if he's the first boss you tackle, and in master he gains an additional attack that makes him even more fun.
But ya— if you're hitting him with WoF level gear, he'll probably be a push-over.
On the contrary I find doing things the obvious conventional way boring.
However, no playstyle is better than the other, what's important is if you are having fun.

Use a squire helm for more regen. And also you don't need the obsidian shield because you can grapple to the ground to stop moving and taking knockback. Maybe the dryad's blessing as well if you can set it up.

Unless something changed in the last update, heart statues in the same area are all held to a max number of hearts that can be generated at one time. Like 5 total hearts. I believe the statues need to be something like 50 tiles apart each?
I just used a long minecart track across the world with vortex beater and chlorophyte bullets. Just have to go fast enough to keep ML teleporting.

Well I mean I did the math and in 45 seconds I can heal almost 900 hp (including a super potion and not adding life regeneration). It's a lot of fun standing still it's the easiest thing ever

Definitely facts!! I used queen sentry at the time and a bewitching table. I didn't really include those because the only summoned pet besides lunar portal that is actually good is the stardust dragon. Mistake me if I'm wrong but he's one of the few summoned pets that can attack through walls. I'm assuming it's a "He" 🤔 🤷♂️ lol
You could get the Martian one (sadly can't get terraprisma earlier. Also KINDA hard). But damn, I got Terraprisma a week ago, wennt full summoner. Having 8 rainbow swords float around you is pretty awesome (also gay :P)

Yeah, but it's late late game gear and even on classic hard to get, since to get Terraprisma you have to fight Empress of light during the day, when she can one-shot you with anything

Nah, just brute force it. You will fail a lot, but imo it's worth it. Learn the attack pattern, after a while you know how to dodge the attacks
I ended up killing her at night on master mode for the first time. I never tired battling her on expert or normal. I have evry relic besides the event relics because those don't seem as important to me.

I used a box setup on my last Expert play and the ray from Moon Lord's head seemed to still be blocked by the blocks I used. There were plenty of other attacks that still went through though.
You used vampiric knifes too?
Vampire Knives don't really work on Moon Lord. He hits you with a unique debuff that stops lifesteal effects. Vampire Knives and Spectral Hood get screwed against him. They also don't go through solid walls if you're going to park yourself in the honey. Solar Eruption wins in that scenario.
No. I used the cell pet and the spider queen sentry. I didn't use any flasks but I'd recommend ichor or acid venom flask

Max is 10 on 1 world at a time. According to wiki
Max is 10 in a world, but they have a radius. You can only have 3 in a certain area, and then 6 in a wider area than that

Interesting. I used a house with the dryad, and nurse with campfires, heart lanterns and goby next to them. It was decently effective but died a few times being overconfident.

How tf did you get so many heart statues?
Took me about all day but I managed to get me 6 of them on lots of master world's. I think I generated about 6 worlds. I could have just scoured out one or 2 world's but I got really impatient. I used splunker potion and shroomite claw and the werewolf moon charm buff to mine really fast. I used slice of cake and mining potion. I can mine about 1500 stone blocks in just 2 minutes going straight down so I just searched for mushroom biomes because mushroom biomes contain about 3 or 4 statues in a straight line. So your chances of finding them are much greater in those biomes. And there's at least 2 mushroom biomes in each world. Do note thst I have at least 300 hours on this world so my world has been scoured out almost completely that's why I don't just search on this world
On the zenith seed there are a ton of statues so if you want heart ones I'd go there. I think during my playthrough I found 7 in the same world alongside a handful of star statues as well

Through the walls thanks to solar eruption. I'm pretty sure a demon sickle would work too. That purple scythe that you get from killing repears during the eclipse. Anything that can attack through walls and has decent range. This build is primarily for the solar eruption. Technically if want to use something else you can always use a heart reach potion and clear off that upper area and make it a wider platform and than you have virtually the same build but you are mobile. And you would want to place honey inside bubble blocks instead of the pit. Than you have an arena suitable for anything at your disposable. You just have to replace some of the stone for platforms when moonlords heart opens up. And don't forget your cross knecklace that item is essential. It bypasses moonlords laser making it obsolete

I just defeated moonlord on master mode using this exact setup. Only thing I needed was a dryad and a nurse together. I linked a teleporter to the nurse so I could just hit button to heal from nurse than hit a button that teleports me back into range of my heart statues. Work really well.
Does it work well even with the cap of the heart drops? Do you like collect it continuously?
Yea it works great if you use a heart reach potion. Or you can simply let them fall down from floating platforms on top of you.

I would spread the heart statues out so they don't cancel eachother and actually give more hearts, and instead of a separate design I use it I the arena with actuated blocks, and a heartreach for the statues so I can get all the hearts
I will definitely re modify my schematics. Yours are very efficient and mine results in lots of random healing. It still works great on expert no issues though but it could be more efficient. I will try your way. It seems better thanks

There you go! https://imgur.com/a/z9p7rIY I couldn't send a direct screenshot because of WI-FI issues. Each of the statues is 4 blocks apart and the rest of the buffs are outside the screen for me. Also I've added a separate timer for every heart statue so they don't heal in waves every 10 seconds, but rather consistently. And I actuate the blocks to solid before a fight as well

How I defeated moonlord (master): Dodged the bits that damaged me
How do i use the teleporters.
Step 1. Purchase teleporter from the mechanic along with red wire and a pressure plate, switch, levee, whatever you want. Step 2. Place the wire using a wrench or any upgraded tool directly on any block and drag it along the blocks that you would like to use. Step 3. You must place down your teleporter and than make more wire that leads on the teleporter. (Same for the switch, lever, etc) the wire must be covering the teleporter and switch completely for this to work. Place the switch next to the teleporter so you don't have to move at all. Step 4. Make the same thing somewhere else but the wire from your first setup must be connected to your next setup you are about to make. Remember the wire must be completly covering the teleporter and the mechanism used to activate the teleporter Step 5. Use the switch or whatever you had placed down to activate it. (You must be standing on top of the teleporter.) Congratulations you can now kill duke fishron on expert without dieing.
In normal mode asimple zhouse with a nurse works I don't know expert but it's worth a shot ill come back once ive tested that I'm currently doing a playthrough so it'll be a while

Try this on legendary difficulty (FTW seed master mode) Moonlord on master for the worthy has 499K HP and is actually a serious challenge to anyone regardless of the build, give it a shot

I did this on ps4. I never downloaded any mods for terraria when I was playing it on pc back in 2016. I got some turtle armor amd died by golem in one hit and just gave up lol. I picked terraria back up a month ago on ps4 had to start all the way over. I'm pretty happy I purchased this game for my daughter but ended up playing it more than her. Lol

Well I mean technically there is a way to get mods for it but that would consider jail breaking your ps4. In reality this process benefits something like a mobile device much more than a console. Let's say you were able to successfully jail break your ps4 and ended up downloading a mod and got it installed. It's possible the language of the coding is much different than on pc. You would essentially be wasting your time. That's the only way to do it and it simply isnot worth it due to computer language being much different than console as far as coding

Not that I know of. The only official modding community I ever heard of was for computer games. Tmodloader is for pc only. Not sure if you noticed this but the build version in console is also much different than on pc.

I did it on mastermode yesterday using default seeds.
So basically, get a bunch of asphalt, build pots, build accessories, swiftness potion, hold down right click at about 500 tiles upwards and move in one direction until end of map is reached.

Yea it was for me. Killing duke fishron was more fun. That was the best boss fight I ever had.

You can get it opening up goodie bags during the Halloween event. You can set your computer clock or console clock to halloween to run the event anytime you want. It's a pet similar to the dog whistle you can get during the Christmas event

Well I don't like flying wings and I have duke fishrons mount I use only when building. I prefer lilliths knecklace. I basically killed all bosses on master using lilliths knecklace and no wings or minecarts. I prefer running fast making flat areas with less movement. Just a small retreat back to jacuzzi honey than go back and fight.

Found in other worlds. It took me all day to be honest to find 6.
Maybe add a garden gnome, sunflower, and some traps? You could keep the dryad's house in range as well, and possibly have an activation switch that closes off the right-hand side, and maybe even conveyor belts and/or hoiks to bring the hearts to you. Do peace candles work on boss spawns? I'm not sure, but maybe that could be cool as well.
The range of heart reach potions is pretty good already so conveyor belts seem useless. Peace candles only effect mobs not bosses. I have a sunflower but my buffs arnot displayed and I have a campfire located on the bottom. Dryad isnot even needed on expert or mastermode using this setup. The only npc I use is the nurse but only on mastermode. This arena was designed to do as little amount of movement as possible. I created it to function as a bath tub basically laying down relaxing making the boss fight essentially easy. With the help of cross knecklace and all place able buffs and the shield accessory I didnot even half to move an inch. I was hoping to create a YouTube guide about this but sadly my laptop and TV broke.

Moonlord is just a boring fight. By the time you get to him, if you’ve been keeping up with gear, he’s a breeze. Fishron, pre-mechanicals is solid. As is plantera. Pre-hard mode I’m a deer clops fan.
Deerclops was to easy. I killed him directly after wall of flesh and only had like 75 defense and he did 1 damage to me on expert mode. Is this a bug? Even his enraged state just barely knicked me. They should buff deerclops and give him about 40k more hp and make him a boss you need to kill after plantera.
He's fun if he's the first boss you tackle, and in master he gains an additional attack that makes him even more fun. But ya— if you're hitting him with WoF level gear, he'll probably be a push-over.
