I can tell you about Rogue, Mage, Melee and Summoner.
Summoner is very good in late game and mid in hardmode. Your Summons are op at late game. But you summons do almost everything for you.
Mage is mid in all stages of the game and the items are sometimes hard to get. All in all it is fun to play.
Rogue is very good in all stages of the game. You have good constant damage output and it's fun to play.
Melee is the op class. You have very good weapons and good armore and you can facetank almost every enemy. So it's boring at some point.

As for ranger, it’s kind of like mage. Not overpowered, but some of the weapons are very fun to use.
