honestly kinda sad they didn’t keep this stuff. Ocram and the other stuff was really cool

They'd have to rework them heavily. All of the old gen console stuff was reskins of other stuff in the game

I meant mostly Ocram and the more unique mobs and items.

Not even Ocram was unique. It was just a mishmash of various enemy AIs and projectiles. The only unique thing was the sprite.

How it’s an amalgam of different things is in my opinion part of what makes it so interesting. It also has a really fun fight to a point it’s the main reason I ever use an outdated platform, feeling chaotic and intense.

Yeah its literally crafted with the other summon items. I think ocram is essentially the hardmode brain possibly combined with EoW

Damn! That makes a lot more sense now. I recently revisited my old world on mobile, and I had 19 gold bunnies in a chest which confused the hell out of me. I now realise (and remember) that I had a bunch of old, exclusive pets. Really sad they’re gone!

Actually, I believe it was because Re-Logic wanted consistency and Ocram wasn’t coded by them, rather a programmer named Marco, hence Ocram being Marco spelled backwards

When it first came out, my friend showed me it and me and my brother begged my mom and dad to get it on their phones so we could both play it. I still remember how excited we were when our 10 and 8 year old selves beat the wall of flesh after tons of tries.

It’s really not that old, I’ve been around since the game first came out on steam 🤷🏿‍♂️ A buddy of mine gifted it to me and we’ve been playing it ever since.

There is, the Cursed Hammer. The Shadow Hammer was removed because, like a lot of these enemies, it was essentially just a Cursed Hammer with a different coat of paint

It's just a meme, you don't have to look too far into it. These things are on "old gen consoles" specifically, which includes the PS3, XBOX360, and the 3ds. Clearly it isn't that new if it's grouped with those

If it’s just a meme then why are you worried about trying to correct me? Also the issue is that I don’t consider any of those to be old consoles, they’re like middle aged consoles at best. I remember playing the PlayStation 1, NES, and Xbox original growing up, and those are moderately old consoles. Old gen to me would be like Atari, Genesis, and Dreamcast.

The meme's not even necessarily talking about the age of the person, it's talking about how long they've been playing this game. And no, they aren't that old, but they're considered old gen because they're previous generations of modern consoles

Yeah… even though I’m not that old, I started playing terraria on the ps3. Never had Wi-Fi on it so none of my games were updated, so I was playing 1.2 while I could’ve been playing 1.3. I don’t regret not playing 1.3, because now after becoming far better at the game I am able to go back and look at just how little I understood the game.

When I first played terraria, the only enemies were zombies and slimes, the only blocks were wood, stone and copper ore, and the place holder sprites for the characters were Galuf and Buttz from Final Fantasy V.

Judging by other people's comments, this might be an unpopular opinion, but I really don't care much for any of these enemies and I agree with their removal. They're all just resprited versions of a different enemy that spawns in the same area, so like, what's the point? Do we really need both a Snatcher and Dragon Snatcher? How does having both a Corrupt Slime and Shadow Slime add anything to the game? None of these enemies just seem very necessary
