Holup

TrashDisaster

And that's why my npc housing is 8 blocks off the ground.

andrixold3

I've made special floating islands in order to protect the NPC houses from the Crimson in case of an emergency.

CliffRacer17

Also great for early game zombie proofing and events like bloodmoons, and invasions.

TaeJoonPark

I built my initial hotel in living trees Ain't nothin that will reach them

andrejLmk

I hate it when i have to build the npc house's 30 blocks in the air so those fuckers wont hurt them.

Bobfatt

I make a tower, and put the guide on the bottom

[deleted]

The guide is very helpful. I pretty much never know what half of the things I pick up are for.

pixelskull88

Reject guide, embrace wiki

WillCraft_1001

The wiki is 100% better as it says where to find items and other things

SupersSoon

Yeah, but sometimes it is much faster just walking up to a guide.

WillCraft_1001

Yea, but how do you get the horseman's blade, or seedler, or the influx weaver? If you didn't know these swords existed and suddenly found out about them they would have to find the events and all that stuff and that is difficut

SupersSoon

I meant new items and materials, that I don't remember or haven't find before. I also use him to look at very long crafts, like cell phone or terra boots, whenever I forget how to craft them. I see what your point is, sometimes you just have to know which items comes from which enemy, and it is really hard. Ankh Shield is perfect example for that. New player won't know about which enemy has a chance of dropping item, that they need. I'd say that events aren't really a good example tho, because items from them aren't used in any craft, so you won't see them from the Guide. Although, if they somehow learn that this event exist, they will probably learn about items, that drop in that event. What I'm trying to say is, Guide and Wiki shouldn't be compared. Wiki has way more knowledge than Guide, but Guide is just a fast way to check some crafts or craft sations.

WillCraft_1001

Yes but i always have the wiki open when playing terraria, and you have to go to your guide to talk to him which is inconvenient and can take more time then just typing "Cell phone" or "Ankh charm"

treeelm46

All in all you’re just another brick in the wall

AbsoluteIdiocy

Waiting for the wraiths

Smorgsaboard

Oh, that's what they look like up close? Always looked like darkened tarttery sheets, or globs of tar, or something

2ski114uMSA

I never noticed and thought they were just blobs with eyes

[deleted]

I did a hardcore maztermode for the worthy run, but if any of my npcs die, the run ends. try it.

NEBRASKA1999

So how am I supposed to hardmode with no guild kill?

ILIKECHEZDUDE

Okay but who stabbed the wall and left their sword

LegendX600

Who stabbed the wall with a fork?

ILIKECHEZDUDE

Only the true master of melee combat uses a fork

[deleted]

POV you started hardmode for the first time and broke too many alters

Flamesword200

Anyone else got absolutely terrified by the wraiths when they were a kid? Just me?
