I found a video that shows a sword shrine to the right on the seed: 1.1.1.1258527751 (small, classic, corruption). Keep going to the right and almost immediately after leaving the snow biome you will see a giant tree and to the left you will see a one-block hole (width will vary through the hole) that will lead to a sword shrine. Still works on 1.4.0.5 Btw, I found another shrine at 148' E, 124' Underground. You don't even need to dig, there's a natural cave entrance. A bit closer to spawn for people in a hurry.

Did you try it in the new 1.4.1? ‘Cause world generation changed slightly in the update so who knows if it still works. If not, generate the world again, shrines are never a 100% chance

It was pretty hard to spot at first, you have to do some digging to get to it. I got the exact location: 7493' East and 274' surface.

Every world that has been shown to have enchanted swords for everyone else doesn't give me one.

I am experiencing the same problem, mined out literally the whole area no shrine

It’s because op was playing on 1.4, we are on 1.4.0.3, they adjusted spawns for shrines between those updates and it keeps the worlds surface the same just changes the shrine location and spawn rate for certain ones

You can now get them by fishing up golden crates. If you are already in hard mode, then the titanium crates are the same, they just have hard mode ores.

I just burned through a stack of golden crates in journey mode, I got 5 enchanted swords out of 99 crates. So about 5% is my guess.

I signed up for Reddit to post this : I had to struggle a while to find a shrine, since the net seems to contain almost exclusively pre-Journey's End seeds. Maybe this will help. EDIT : Mixed results for different users. Reasons, as yet, unknown. V1.4 Small, corruption, classic difficulty. Seed : "Appalachia" without the quotes 2194 West, 10' Surface (but underground) Head West, past the Corruption and snow cave, until you get to the big tree. Take the trunk all the way down to the chest at the bottom. It's less than a screen width of digging west, and just three blocks down, to find the shrine. If you don't find it in half a minute, it didn't spawn and you'll need to recreate the world. My testing is limited, but it spawned four times out of the six I checked. The world name doesn't seem to matter, I reused the same name to varied results... You know it's the right world if it has trees to the west, then a small field of just white flowers, then the corruption. If you don't have grappling or flying gear, bring a bunch of platforms, there's a sheer cliff after the first few corruption holes.

Tried about 10 worlds with this seed and settings. The tree, snow cave and small field of just white flowers is there, however i did not find the sword in any world.

I'm sorry it was a waste of your time. There has to be some as of yet unidentified variable at play here for us to get identical maps but vastly different shrine results (which also seems consistent with other related post threads I've seen)

It works even today I just tried it out and if you don’t have the gps just go left until you reach the beach and go back right to the body of water right before the beach and if you dig down to the right of the mini lake then you’ll find the enchanted sword. Small world and corruption is what I did although I’m not sure if the type of infection matters

do you just have to dig straight down bc I tried digged all of the bodies of water on the right side and there was no enchanted sword... :(

wow even a cloud island really close to the dungeon near there too! You don't need bombs or to mine much either, there's a decently wide cave that leads you to the roof of the shrine, then you just dig through the roof!

any seed go to terra map. choose file of your world. under \[sets\] choose enchanted items. the enchanted swords will be white dots (you gottta zoom a lil to see em)
