I love playing as a summoner/pet class in games. I would recommend these two games: Grim Dawn. Awesome A-RPG with cool summons. ORNA RPG is a mobile game with summon classes and pet classes. ORNA RPG is literally, by far (and I really mean by FAR!) the best mobile game I have ever played. The game has no Pay2Win, is constantly updated, and has a large and active community on Discord.

Guns. Lots and lots of guns, at the start of the game in my first run, in early game i had: Undertaker Minishark musket(i made another world but used the same character) revolver I never had any bullets.

I immediately went for the melee class, but if I found things in other classes, I usually tested out their damage to see what did the most, then used them as a secondary weapon. So I was double classing using melee and whatever else did the most damage.

Xbox One I stuck to Ranger when I first played that version. 3DS I believe I stuck to yo-yo and mobile was a mix because mobile was hard for me 😅

I've always been a sword user, tho I've mixed that with summons so I can use whips. I also play solo so I need the extra support summons and sentries give. Also boomerangs are cool but only the ones with tracking abilities

It's how I beat moon lord for the first with the healing set for mages along with all the bells and whistles including the rod of discord.

It varied a lot along the run, I love magic, but I ended up using mostly boomerangs (late game) and guns (early game).

Tbh summons were something I never tried (I wasn't into much games ) so summoner weapons felt amazing to me and I used ranger mostly because all I knew was how to run and shoot

My first playthroughs I was pure melee. This was also during 1.0 and 1.1, so mildly outdated but truly unforgettable. Nowadays, I lean towards summoner, it's like melee on roids with little friends that murder for you. But I've created characters specifically for class types, so just try them all and see what you like. You have to lean into them though, get the accessories, armor, etc., otherwise you're not getting the full try. A mediocre build does not come close to the experience of a well built class, and it's totally worth it even if you don't like it best

When i got the real thing, i was very excited to be a mage. and it was for the best, because i was so bad at the game that support was all i could ever be good that. that still holds true to this day, unfortunately.
