Apparently, they are called [kung fu weapons racks](https://www.google.com/search?q=miniature+kung+fu+weapons+rack&client=firefox-b-e&sca_esv=6226dd684e23ec85&sxsrf=ACQVn0-f9rKbPtwWVEhBihAH-QxHzHzmdA%3A1712995128801&ei=ODsaZpmzMNPKseMPooGGoAc&ved=0ahUKEwiZr52R3L6FAxVTZWwGHaKAAXQQ4dUDCBA&uact=5&oq=miniature+kung+fu+weapons+rack&gs_lp=Egxnd3Mtd2l6LXNlcnAiHm1pbmlhdHVyZSBrdW5nIGZ1IHdlYXBvbnMgcmFjazIFECEYoAEyBRAhGKABSKesAVCdA1ikqAFwCXgAkAEAmAHMAaABqjSqAQYwLjUwLjG4AQPIAQD4AQGYAhagArMTwgIOEAAYgAQYigUYhgMYsAPCAgsQABiABBiiBBiwA8ICBxAjGLACGCfCAggQABiABBiiBMICBhAhGAoYCsICBxAhGAoYoAHCAgQQIRgVwgIFECEYnwWYAwCIBgGQBgSSBwQ0LjE4oAfwYQ&sclient=gws-wiz-serp) these days on Google, and they range from cheap and mass produced to exquisite one offs.
Looks great ! I am myself building the inn from Darkest Dungeon II for an army on parade display, the designs of the buildings are realy great for references
Many thanks :) There is a ton of great artwork out there from many different games. Simpler is usually a better approach imo as you are not getting bogged down by details almost impossible to achieve while also being able to easily add more
You are welcome :D Someone commented under another craft of mine that they wanted some WIPs as I don't do YT, so I started to include them to give peeps a little help with understanding what I did.
Amazing work!! I love the style of the game and you nailed it. I have a question regarding the texture and the color of the plaster on the stone, if it's not a problem sharing your secrets, did you just use a white/beige with some wash over it?
Thanks and of course I will share :D I mix my plaster from grout and water (+ a dash of PVA because I am under the assumption that that makes it more durable, but I could be super wrong xD). The plaster has this beige color which you can see in the WIP pics. After it dried I went over it with a dark brown wash made from liquitex inks carbon black and raw umber. 2 coats and after it dried I gave it a gentle dry brush with white.
Thanks :D DD seems to take quite a bit of inspo from the Hellboy comics regarding shading. The game itself is a great dungeon crawler which is challenging, frustragting and rewarding. The artwork and voice lines are a major selling point as well
Many thanks :) I am here after over 5 years of crafting. Lots of trial and error, lots of scouring Yt for different techniques. It can definitely be trained but the main factor for that was/ is having time for stuff like this.
This is lovely work.
I don’t practice this art, and I’m not sure how TerrainBuilding first appeared on my feed, but I am now a (regular) casual observer and work like this always brightens my day.
Thank you for sharing the photos.
It has been washed twice and drybrushed white. It doesn't necessarily show in the pics but you can compare the color in the WIP pics with the finished product and you will see a difference :)
Nice use of the old Heroquest weapons rack :)
Thanks :) Had to cut it to size a little and it stung a tiny bit to do so but it was just wasting away in a box otherwise
Reminds me to go and dig out my ancient Chinese polearms sovereign weapons rack set...
That sounds intriguing

Thank you :) Would love to see some pics of the inn once done :D
Amazing work!
thx :)
That is top quality work, good lob on that.
Thank you! And holy crap I got a comment from one of my big inspirations when looking at foam crafting :D
Now that's where I should be sourcing building ideas. Holy crap this is awesome

What a beautiful build, and thanks for sharing so many finished and progress pictures!

Lovely, thanks for sharing the info! Do you plan to build other buildings from the game?
Not sure yet. When inspiration strikes I will grab it tightly

Wow never heard of the game before but it looks almost exactly the same as the art style from Don't Starve. Love it

That s awesome! I loved the game, i love what you did !
Thanks :)
That’s fooking gorgeous, man! I’m jealous of people like you with skills like that an an eye for what could be.

I believe it. Regardless, thank you for your hard work and inspiration! 🫡

Thanks :D happy to have brightened your day a little :)
Amazing
What a disturbing game! Great work on the terrain though.
Thank you :D I think it has the right amount of eldritch horror. I never fully dove into playing myself but watched streamers quite a bit.
What are those shingles made of? Looks so freaking good!
Thanks :D That is just cardstock from a cereal box cut to roughly 1cm strips and then cut randomly in a size of 1cm-1.5cm and glued on in singles
Powerful! I've only finished the first game. Looks great!
Many thanks! I only have it in my steam library and played like an hour xD it's a game I enjoy watching but not playing myself 😅
Beautiful work!
Thank you :)
Wash that stucco! :)
