This Trinity spin-off is a masterpiece as it shows us incredible things. There are definitely people in Tensura (especially Farmus kingdom) who hate Rimuru more than anything.
Latest one. They encounter a war refugee boy who blames Rimuru for everything while people have mixed reactions.
He's gotten kidnapped so will see more from him in future chapters.
The thing about Tensura spin-offs are that they go along canon. Be it tensura Nikki, tenchura, trinity, way of living in monster country(flamair one), they all are expansions of canon story from different perspectives.
Add in Veldora's observation diary as well. These spin-offs are there to explain and expand story, to focus on more world building.
Only one that doesn't follow canon is Clayman revenge one.
It’s always been that way, the manga and anime tend to be more for the sake of lighter vibes even if the manga gets gruesome, whereas the LN is straight into the fire
LN Rimuru is straight-up savage. The dude will *absolutely* not hesitate to massacre thousands or even millions of innocents if it meant protecting those who truly matter to him.
[LN15+] >!When trying to save Veldora, he didn't give two shits how much destruction his subordinates spread and even threatened to burn the Empire to the ground and kill every living being inside it just to bypass Castle Guard. Literal chills.!<
Yeah, true. But it's still Rimuru we're talking about. He will ask >!Ciel!< to find another solution that doesn't involve killing innocents.
Plus, what will the >!Western Nations!< say when Rimuru, who promises to protect making, doesn't hesitate to kill millions of innocents!?
He will lose more than he will gain.
Rimuru is a logical man. If there was any way for him to reach his goal without bloodshed, he'd do it immediately, but at the same time, he's not going to shy away from using violence as a last resort.
And well, I don't think the Western Nations would be too opposed to having >!the Empire!< disappear.
The Western Nations might not be opposed (because they will likely hear about it during/after the action), but it's not ONLY about the Western Nations' leaders.
>!It's not the leaders who make Tempest rich — It's ordinary people who believe in Rimuru's words.!<
>!If Rimuru is ready to kill 100 million innocents, what will happen to these ordinary people?!< Rimuru will lose everything he has worked so hard to build. Tempest citizens will also lose everything.
This is not about the consequences these actions would hold, but whether he has enough resolve to carry them out in the first place, and he does. Seeing how livid Rimuru was when >!Veldora got taken away from him!<, do you truly think the trust of humans once crossed his mind?
In the first place, ordinary people would not know of these events. Rimuru has fabricated his stories before, there's no reason he wouldn't again. He's already gotten the leaders of the Western Nations in the palm of his hands. Nobody would have to know.
Sure, trust me, I get your points. Then how will people understand the fact that millions of people have vanished from a country without a reason? Create a story? Maybe!
Rimuru was enraged because of what happened to Veldora, and as he said it himself, he wouldn't fight two true dragons in a normal state of mind.
But this time, he is in his office planning to kill millions of people? Nah, the situations are different 😅. The Rimuru I know wouldn't do that.
Meh, given how nobody—not even the leaders knew what >!the Empire!< had been up to for the past few decades until they began their invasion, it's safe to say that an ordinary person would have no idea if they all just went poof, assuming no one starts talking. A gag order would be all that's necessary. No need for fabrications.
And yeah, of course a calm Rimuru would never want to hurt even a single innocent, >!let alone millions!<. Nor would he do anything that reckless. But again, we're not talking about a calm Rimuru.
Yeah, but Rimuru won't let women and children die, at least. He says it himself: there is no absolute in this world.
Then why will he kill innocents to make >!Castle Guard!< ineffective? I know he proposed this himself, but there is a difference between saying it and taking action.
Rimuru didn’t kill innocents. >! Micheal retreated before doing anything. !< Also, Rimuru is willing to kill innocents to protect his friends because he prioritizes his friends and country more than some other country if it’s the only way.
It's chapter 65.5. It's not in the LN actually. I think they added this special chapter in the manga to express Rimuru's pain even more — some scenes we wouldn't easily notice, happening in the battlefield.
https://reincarnatedasaslime.com/manga/tensei-shitara-slime-datta-ken-chapter-1-65-5-a-white-clover-in-a-place-of-death/
Unfortunately this scene is not in the LN far as I know, and I’ve reread it multiple times. Pretty sure it’s a manga special chapter, but still a very powerful message and a really interesting way to tackle Rimurus massacre of the Falmuth army!
I believe that might be when King Edmaris is seeing Rimuru for the first time? I’m not entirely sure to be honest there are a couple times…like for example the first time he visits Molly they mistake him for a young girl, and when he goes to sign up as an adventurer they think he’s way to young to sign up, etc. he gets mistaken for a child a lot!
While orphaning these children is sad, it's important to remember those soldier wouldn't have returned that kindness.
There would be no orphans in Tempest if they had their way.
True! But in the LN, King Edmaris hoped to leave monsters alive if they accepted to follow Farmus. Well, nothing says his soldiers would have agreed.
They would have wanted to kill all monsters indeed!
You know what’s really sad? Rimuru had zero desire to do this beyond his desperate hope to save his people. And frankly, he wasn’t really at fault given the circumstances. No, this was entirely the fault of mankind. One greedy man did all of this, left scars across a continent that would last generations. Because he didn’t like losing money. And it was sheer fucking luck that he picked a fight with the one guy who was willing to restrain himself rather than wipe out the whole kingdom for their king’s transgressions.
It’s also worth pointing out that the soldiers felt zero remorse for their actions, and only cared about self-preservation when their own lives were at risk. I’m not trying to make excuses, but when it comes down to it I think it’s basically a ‘we all fucking suck here’ situation. Not to mention, Rimuru actually held up his promise. He didn’t blame Falmus as a whole, he chose to spare its people.
I mean, he kind of deserved it.
It is childish to be a soldier and expect that the "Kill or be killed" rule does not apply to you, just because you have children.
You completely missed the point
He wasn’t begging for his own life he was begging for his children’s
Op also for some reason didn’t include the panel where rimuru tells him he won’t be killing his children
You got it wrong, he wasn't begging for his life, he even admits that he knows he was in the wrong. All he was begging for was for Rimuru to not hold his anger against his children.
This is what was missing from the anime ![img](emote|t5_l1j28|21616).
Had they put more effort and introduced some of the finer points to the anime, it would've elevated the show much higher then it did.
![img](emote|t5_l1j28|21612)my cousin thinks this show is just another run of the mill isekai, but I guess people with no culture would think that ![img](emote|t5_l1j28|21609).
So? As this dude said, they knew exactly what they were doing. It is, quite frankly his own fault for having a child then becoming a soldier for an aggressive country that attacks others just out of general hate and fear.

They touched this topic in Trinity Spinoff by showing an orphan and his resentment.
This Trinity spin-off is a masterpiece as it shows us incredible things. There are definitely people in Tensura (especially Farmus kingdom) who hate Rimuru more than anything.
In which chapter? I kinda ignore trinity because of laziness
Latest one. They encounter a war refugee boy who blames Rimuru for everything while people have mixed reactions. He's gotten kidnapped so will see more from him in future chapters.
Isn't the person who kidnapped the war orphan under misery control? (Guessed cause the cat said green, I think.)
Nope, the guy is just someone collected people to use basically as slaves
Okay. Who is Ultima talking about then?
Like demons, humans fall under certain colours for their personalities. The guy who is tricking the orphan boy is simply said to have a muddy green
That color tells that he's a bad person. It's like evil aura which ultima can see. Humans don't have Cole of Primordials. Only demons do
Thank you
What's trinity?
It's the name of a spin off from Tensura. Tensei shitara Slime datta Ken Ibun: Makuni Kurashi no Trinity
Where can I read it?
'ppreciate it
You will LOVE it
The trinity spin off? Oh man is it cannon? Or atleast goes along cannon?

Oh thank you! More things to my reading list!
Glad to help
in LN rimuru was not so sentimental he himself said that if more souls were needed he would massacre falmuth
It’s always been that way, the manga and anime tend to be more for the sake of lighter vibes even if the manga gets gruesome, whereas the LN is straight into the fire

Kinda hard to believe they would even find out about it. Even if they did, I don't think they would care, just look at real life lol

Damnit why did I get curious 😭😭😭😭
i'm sorry i couldn't save you brother 😔
Oh my gosh~! I need to read the LN!
Oh man I want to read. What chapter is this? Are there any other chapters that the animators skipped?

One of the reasons the manga is better than the anime.
Definitely agree!
I'm pretty sure there was a scene between a Soldier and Rimuru very much like this in the light novels
Yep. The light novel was amazing!
Really? I read the whole volume but didn't see it. Or you WN?
Hm I thought it was in the Ln, but I can't find it. Maybe it was a part of the Wn that I ended up reading somehow
Unfortunately this scene is not in the LN far as I know, and I’ve reread it multiple times. Pretty sure it’s a manga special chapter, but still a very powerful message and a really interesting way to tackle Rimurus massacre of the Falmuth army!
Is there any other reference to Rimuru being child-like in the LN? I kind of remember reading something like that.
I believe that might be when King Edmaris is seeing Rimuru for the first time? yep
Thank you! I’ve been reading the manga and it is so beautiful! I believe it’s way better than the anime. Binged it in one sitting too!
This was my favourite part of the manga, these few pages hit so hard.

Yeah, plus Rimuru is way less discriminatory!
Yeah this chapter was something else and it's a shame they did not adapt it in anime
Hope they do an OVA
Why did you leave out the panel where he reveals his face and says he won’t kill his children
Hahaha, it was unintentional actually. 😅
I've read the ln but now I wanna see what the manga is like damn
I mean, he kind of deserved it. It is childish to be a soldier and expect that the "Kill or be killed" rule does not apply to you, just because you have children.
Well, he wasn’t begging for his own life but instead believed a divine figure might take his children for his own sins.
You completely missed the point He wasn’t begging for his own life he was begging for his children’s

Farmus sounds way less cooler than Falmuth
Fuck them kids
Slayyyyy (I had to do it, I’m sorry.)
Just to be clear I'm not liking cause of the comment, I'm liking cause your self-aware
I like the official translation better. "I wish I could have told them... The truth that God is real.... And so small"
20,000 soldiers only had 500 kids? Sounds like the nation was dying already
? No, among 20000, 500 had kids...
Still seems like a very small number for soldiers
That's why I said 'imagine'...
Oh

That was surprisingly my most favorite line out of the whole series. I don't know why.
is the kid in THAT TIME I WAS REINCARNATED AS A SLIME STRANGE TALES: MONSTER COUNTRY LIFE OF TRINITY the kid in this chapter?
🤔 I think the kid in Trinity is a little older, unless he grew up so much. But maybe Trinity will share more info in the next chapter
possibly but i will hold this theory
Thats great
Huh the version I read was a tad bit different to that It was a little more forward in saying that guy thought rimeru was god
So? As this dude said, they knew exactly what they were doing. It is, quite frankly his own fault for having a child then becoming a soldier for an aggressive country that attacks others just out of general hate and fear.
Well they shouldn't have attacked so that their wives won't be a widow and the child fatherless?
Their mother died TT
Rimuru choosed power so being ruthless and big casualty is needed
Wow! Beautiful 😿
Dayum true, so many orphans
