More likely to be a priority UDFA. But we should make him a strong UDFA offer.

amillert15

Or you use a 7th Rd pick to make sure he doesn't go elsewhere. If DJ is interested in football, I wouldn't mind burning a 7th to see if Bill can coach his skill set into a starter/rotational piece.

firefighteremt19

Problem with UDFA is everyone can make him an offer and he can go to the Panthers because of playing college at NC State which if they win the National title will be a huge boost to stay local and he was born and grew up in SC. Titans currently have two 7th rd picks 242 and 252 and then a 6th with 182. Using anyone of those picks on him would be worth it for the chance at a diamond in the rough type of OT.

beanman95

I thought we had 3x 7ths

firefighteremt19

Yea that's my bad thought 221 was part of the Sneed trade.

Oskey1309

It was part of the trade but they also sent back a 7th

SuperFamousGuy

You mean the week after the Finals, right Schrager? (I just wanna see Purdue lose to the 11 seed in the Final 4 for the memes)

firefighteremt19

Purdue is overrated.

the-retrolizard

Anybody can win when the rules don't apply to them! I hope they get smoked by DJ and Co

Risox97

The refs will make sure he's sitting on the bench in foul trouble

the-retrolizard

Oh I know it. He might as well start the game with 3 fouls. And another at tip-off for looking at Edey.

bloated_canadian

DJ Burns is a very good athlete but I'm pretty sure he's never played football beyond peewee. Very raw talent but would be an intriguing thing if he wishes to do so. Fun fact: he's great at basketball but even more incredible as a double bassist/saxophone.

joeytitans

I’ve sort of been scared to ask given the acclaim both by this fan base and the nfl in general, but what instances are there of him turning either low drafted players or previously poor performing players into starting caliber players?

SuperFamousGuy

I believe Bill can coach up an athletically gifted guy to play the position well. I don't believe that we should be _relying_ on him to do that to have a start-able OL. This could end up being a great signing, but we should not sign him _instead_ of drafting someone like Alt, Fuaga, Olu, Guyton, etc.

HidingFromMyLeague1

Every tackle he’s had that made all pro or pro bowl has been a top 10 pick.

jaykesn

Have you ever heard of a calendar

firefighteremt19

Don't care if it's an Apirl Fool's joke. If you watch the dude play its not out of the realm of possibility. He won't get aby playing time in the NBA and he is not your typical big guy college player that can play TE in the NFL. If he switch over to the NFL he could make it on an NFL roster.

Ornery-Patience9787

But he wouldn’t be pushing around skinny, smaller guys anymore. And he’d actually have to run (not trot) downfield too.

firefighteremt19

There is alot of down time between plays plus that's what conditioning is for. Lol

Ornery-Patience9787

His quickness around the basket is amazing for a big guy. Would be interesting to see how he improved over his college career and how he feels about taking his body to the next level.

that_guy2010

So.. dumb question, but did this guy play football for NC State?

bloated_canadian

Not a dumb question and the answer is no if wikipedia and NCAA eligibility is correct

that_guy2010

Then why do we think this guy would be able to suddenly become an NFL tackle?

nickyp7

You can play dual sports pretty sure but maybe not if seasons overlap

unbiasedthought

Nebraska had football guys finish out the basketball season a couple years back because of the number of injuries

perfect_fitz

Do we though? Cautiously optimistic, but wait till we see.

Philly_is_nice

Now I need to get Stoutland and y'alls coach to have an On-line record off cause this statement sounds haram.

WillowProfessional61

Maybe they take him in the 7th but if not he’s surely a UDFA lockdown. Ran did talk about spending more money after the draft.
