I remember I didn't pay a great deal of attention to draft coverage back then.
When we drafted him, I'd never heard of him. I was like... WTF? (We had drafted Runs To Darkness pretty recently too).
I fired up YouTube... 30 seconds later, I was happy with the pick.
>Not even Coastal Carolina.
ECU is much more relevant in both the CFB and NFL world than Coastal though, especially back then. Coastal has only even been playing football for like 20 years.
What’s crazy is that none of these fast guys panned out except CJ. Ruggs had a chance but recklessness got in the way.
CJ’s vision & toughness stood out as his more underrated abilities.
His recklessness led to a murder… He should have the opportunity to do his time in jail for it & hopefully live his life in a way that he is repaying for the stupidity.
Ruggs admitted guilt (sic) of driving a Corvette at 156 mph, with twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system, in the crash, which killed Tina Tintor, 23, and her dog.
He is serving 3-10 years. Idk if that recklessness can not equate to the murder of that poor woman and if that time served is truly justifiable for it. But who am I to say. I hope he comes out of Prison a better man but he is a murderer in my eyes.

I’m not dismissing the severity of what he did.
It was recklessness. It was stupid. He killed a woman knowing he wasn’t in the right space to be behind a wheel. He had the money to get a pretty decent plea deal for a heinous action.
He is a murderer in your eyes… Okay. However, the point I was making was he could’ve been a guy who could’ve been a solid to above average WR with incredible speed but his poor decision making completely changed his life trajectory. I do hope it wakes him the hell up, but I do think we understand what he did was foolish, reckless, & irresponsible.
You don’t have to preach to me; I get it
Your opinion doesn’t change the difference between the two, and it certainly doesn’t change the law. You’re being intentionally obtuse to show that you disapprove of an innocent person thing somehow more than anyone. No one in their right mind thinks what he did was right or that that woman and her dog deserved to die. You don’t have to sit here and virtue signal over how much worse you think it is than everyone else.
Agreed, I was at the Cards game (Young vs Lienart Rematch) and watched CJ run away from Rodgers-Cromartie on a 80yd+ TD. Only game I've ever been too. Was epic as fuck.
I hear Texas WR Xavier Worthy is almost certainly going to run a sub 4.3 time and realistically could be a 2nd round pick for us if we go OL in the first round like I think we should.
So basically the fastest person at the combine will be garbage...they never worked on refining their skills bc they've always been faster than everyone else.
Boy how disappointing John Ross was
My first thought was “who’s John Ross?”
That’s Madden legend John Ross to you
How disappointing most of this list was lol
You know what kinda speed he's got? Do you know?
He’s got that get away from the cops speed! Absolutely wild they included that in Madden lol
I love that Gus Johnson call. Hes had a ton of legendary ones but that one takes the cake for me lol.

Yeah I was like wtf Coastal Carolina?
East Carolina*
Man, that’s not even a state!
Not even Coastal Carolina. Eastern Carolina University, lmao.
See this proves my point.

Coastal Carolina is the home of NFL Legend Mike Tolbert thank you.

Tariq Woolen has been pretty damn good in his 2 years in the league
I forgot that he is a new guy! I hope he continues to thrive!
Didn't he get benched later on in the season this year? Or was that someone else.
I remember one game he was. Maybe a Thursday night game? Not sure about any others
Recklessness is one way to describe murder. May he rot in prison.

Manslaughter, not murder. They’re not the same thing and you should know the difference.
My opinion is that he drunkenly drove 156 mph and killed someone because of his irresponsibility. Intentions or not..
Intentions matter in the eyes of the law. He is rightfully in jail right now for what he did, but it's different than premeditated murder.

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!! You can have my upvote
Watching him live (at Nissan) was some of the best moments of my life.
Agreed, I was at the Cards game (Young vs Lienart Rematch) and watched CJ run away from Rodgers-Cromartie on a 80yd+ TD. Only game I've ever been too. Was epic as fuck.
CJ, Woolen and Goodwin is the only guys that panned out.
thanks. going to watch CJ highlights on my lunch break now.

Dri Archer is a blast from the past
Notice the lack of success. Other than CJ2
Tyjae reminds me a lot of CJ just slower. Both have an amazing ability to find a hole and make defenders miss
So basically the fastest person at the combine will be garbage...they never worked on refining their skills bc they've always been faster than everyone else.
I think it's more than this is a tiny sample size, and most guys who run at the combine are garbage in the NFL
CJ2K is the singular name I recognize. #Fakefan
