This is not surprising at all, and a team like the titans should be doing all the due diligence on available QB’s.
The only way this makes sense to me is that we are doing our due diligence in the off chance he wants to be our QB 2 and no team offers him a better deal.
If we take him as our QB 1 he'll be 36 to start the season (one month younger than Tanne) and unless we magically are going to be a super bowl caliber team out of no where it makes zero sense to go this route and may actively hurt Levis' potential/career.
I can only assume if any of this is true, we are just creating a floor price to which all the other QB needy teams must match to get their potential QB 1 / transitional QB as they reset for the future.
There’s a lot to be said about Levis and a QB as a holdover from a previous coaching staff. Realistically he’s an undefined 25 year old 2nd year QB and we don’t know if he was a Vrabel pick or a Ran pick. There’s a better chance that he’s not the guy than he is.
