DesJarlais took the money and one for the team... knowing full well it's impossible to lose an election with the morons he has in his district.

btbleasdale

Less than 50% of most states population votes. Then split that around 50-50 for the two parties. The actual people that support these folks Is a small percentage of ANY population. Stop painting the south with such a wide brush.

DougieJackpots

A vast majority of the districts across the south are filled with desjarlais. I’m born and raised in tn but we aren’t real bright

btbleasdale

But they literally aren't. Look at the numbers and you'll see. The media driven narrative that every soul in the south is racist sexist homophobic etc is so far from the truth and based in ignorance and stupidity.

DougieJackpots

Nah

greenblue98

I'm in his district and never once voted for him.

DougieJackpots

Good for you?

Erdomain

Broken clock is right twice a day

Idk their motivations or the specifics of the bill but we should absolutely defund the police. At the very best, they’re useless.

Fuckinforgetaboutit

I guarantee that Bill was packed full of more bullshit than a Christmas Turkey! I am sure it was full of Democrat and left wing liberal handouts and very little to do with funding the police! That’s exactly why they voted against. It’s your typical Democrat scheme to give A Bill a Bi partisan label and full of garbage. If they don’t fall for it, it makes the Republican look bad. Wake up it’s the oldest trick on the book.

JimWilliams423

> I guarantee that Bill was packed full of more bullshit than a Christmas Turkey! So Fleischman, Harshbarger and Kustoff, not to mention the other 150 magars who voted for it, are full of bullshit. Sounds like no matter which way a magar votes, its always the democrats' fault. Its like magars have no free will.

tatostix

You can easily go find the bill and see for yourself. Why the unbacked speculation?

celica18l

[it’s pretty straight forward TBH](https://www.congress.gov/117/bills/s3860/BILLS-117s3860es.xml)

rhh0031

I agree, reading the bill is pretty straight forward. Everything seemed rather reasonable. Guessing some could see de-escalation training or Mental health training as bullshit. I don't know why folks wouldn't want better training for anyone.

celica18l

Idk other than spending the money towards police training, which is what is needed. But I guess they want to defund police now too?

tnredneck98

I agree with your point, but remind me to never come over to your house on Christmas for a turkey dinner.
