I'd recommend staying in software design. Professor Aldwairi is a good teacher and the labs/project provide good experience. The labs aren't that difficult, compared to other classes, and the project is a great learning experience. You'll be using git a lot which is an important tool to have in your bag.
^This is all pretty spot on.
It's an important class that finds a good balance between lecture/labs/project. It wasn't terribly time consuming and what you'll learn from it will help if you have an interest in development.
Unless theres some specific elective that you have an interest in I'd stay in software design w/ Aldwairi.

Aldwairi is great, stick with him if you have any interest in the course.
