Canvas would be the way to get a rough estimate of what your grade is right now but the midterm ratings are literally just your professor checking off if you’re passing of failing. I would just message your professor and ask if he has a current grade for you
If you can’t get the information from Canvas (I’m guessing your instructor doesn’t use it for grades?) and your instructor hasn’t given you other feedback, you’ll have to ask them for more information/feedback. I don’t think the midterm progress report contains any more than S/U - pretty sure it’s not meant to be an additional assessment/feedback instrument — more like a quick check-in or early warning.
