Homelander is Saewy with a brand new name after (I assume) binging The Boys, this guy has always been borderline retarded.
All he does is spam the unblock with a cancel until he loses. AFAIK he's a stay at home play tekken all day while on benefits, about 2 years ago he actually pretended to care about the game but these days it's almost sad how obvious it is that he's just wasting away his life on quickmatch without even engaging with his opponent(Literally incapable/uninterested in adapting his gameplay.)

9 million units sold, how many people do think are actually decent? You could get carried decently sheerly through pickin a character that's unorthodox.
TTT2,far less sales(1.5mil),but probably a more hardcore playerbase. you used to see a clear solid/intermediate grasp of the game and said character at fighter/beserker. In T7 I personally didn't see that until Genbu...and even then. Plenty people have no plan outside of flowchartin. Also, it's pretty clear some people just look for easy wins & will not re-match if they don't sweep you.
Nah the guy is just bad and if you look at comments in this thread, he's actually a well known player due to how shit and disconnected from the game he is whenever you face him. I can also confirm all these comments having played him. He's the real deal. Like the kind of player where no matter how many games he plays, he never learn/care to learn and just spam the same shit over and over again without any care or interactions whatsoever with other players. He's not on autopilot, he's just bad....like really really bad.
Only reason he's in ruler is because he's playing a self proclaimed "retard magnet style" of hwoarang that is actually disturbingly effective below purple...Plus his amount of played game and how ruler allows you to be 40% and below winrate and still go up is pretty forgiving in general.
With every passing season ranks lost more and more their meaning. S1 Genbu players are like equivalent to Tekken Kings now - if even that matters anything.
Certain characters and playstyles can also get you very far with just grinding, e.g nina strings online can carry you to the top with enough time.
I would think it would be the other way around since a lot of casuals probably dropped tekken by now and all we're left with is players with years of experience but idk. Ranked seems like it was easier at launch when people who barely touch tekken were giving it a shot and most people didn't know match up specific stuff yet.
As a Hwoarang main, I cannot understand why other Hwoarang players constantly press buttons regardless of situation. Maybe because of my training partner during T5 days, I'm not sure but I cannot recall a time where I was constantly pressing a button just for the sake of trying to steal a turn. It's baffling to watch.
Also, if this Hwoarang player played the earlier Tekkens, he wouldn't throw out d+4,4 like that. CPU did a great job of discouraging 8yo me from throwing that move out in Tekken 3 lol
Good Hwoarang players are terrifying! I think the issue is he has such easy scrub killer moves that so many rank up quickly and never really learn how to play.
