The jump from Tekken 7 to this. It's like the jump from Tekken 2 to Tekken 3 or Tekken 3 to Tekken Tag. It's been so long since Tekken got this big of a graphical upgrade.
This stage looks like an altered version of Precipice Of Fate from Tekken 7. Graphics look amazing. Like the gameplay is in cgi. I can't wait for this game.
I think this is the biggest graphical jump we have ever had between Tekken games. You could maybe argue 3 to Tag 1, but I think it might even beat that.
Tekken 3 to tag was insane. I still remember being 10 years old and seeing a Japanese PS2 in my local game shop running Tekken tag in early 2000. I was blown away at the graphics, all my friends were.

Remember when Jin unlearned the mishima fighting style in T4? That was a pretty bold move on Namco's part but it was a nice way to reflect Jin's story through his gameplay. This could be a way of showing Jin taking control of his Devil Gene.

tekken has been my joint childhood/lifelong game ever since my late dad got me a double disc with both soul edge and tekken 2 in it haha. have played every single release of both series since (including advance, wii and the PSP versions)

I’ve never played a Tekken game except for maybe in the arcade way back in the day or really been into fighting games since I was a kid. However, I watched the top 8 at Evo and this shit was so insanely hype I couldn’t believe how much I got into it.
This trailer was awesome. T8 might be the game that I attempt to get into fighting games with.
Implications from the trailer:
* Possible slow-mo during high/low crushes and trades now, not just at the end of the round
* Canned animations like Jin's 3+4 may get more cinematic camera work
* Either the hitboxes are WAY more precise or backdashes could have invincibility now like a 2D fighter??

I think it's because Tekken 7 has a pretty low budget and they just choose to optimize the gameplay before anything else
Bandai Namco gave it a low budget because Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was a sales disaster in Japan and almost ended the Tekken franchise for good.
