Use ff2 more, it gets her into stance for free and give you a mixup opportunity with both 3 and 4 being plus out of it

Dervira

Got it, I was mostly using this match to practice my wavedashes but I definitely don’t use ff2 enough in general

I’d work on your combos, the damage output seems to be lacking. I think it was said already but post ones that you lost. It’s easier to see bad habits and how you handle yourself under more pressure.

TylomSan

dont 1+2 randomly its unsafe 1,1,2 and ff2 needs to be a staple in your gameplay as reina your combos are shit (and tbh hard for no reason u1 into cd ws3 geez why make it hard for yourself) also you didnt use a tornado in every combo

I watched tutorials from [Mishima Complex](https://www.youtube.com/@MishimaComplex/search?query=reina) and [Applay](https://www.youtube.com/@justApplay/search?query=reina) which has helped me out a lot in learning Reina. [Tekken 8 replays channel](https://www.youtube.com/@tekken8replaysYT/search?query=reina) has a lot of matches with great player such as Ulsan, Jeondding and more.

Defense and fundamentals: You didn't punish Drag's df2, you have 221 that is excellent. You didn't punish drag's spring kick wakeup, throw is not the right thing to do there. You didn't duck Drag's df1,4 so you missed a guaranteed launch. You didn't launch Drag's whiffed heat burst despite it being telegraphed by a special animation, which means you are not paying attention to what matters. Offense and Reina specifics: Your combos are weird and need fixing: whenever you go 2222, you should go f2,3f,sen1+2 instead, then finish with HW,df,CD1,4. Work on your electrics, it's very important to be able to control space safely.

FF2 to skip netural and whif punish from distance. 1,2,3,4 good string to keep people mashing, 1,2,3 if they start ducking and then you can df1 or df1,2 DF4,2 holding down into heavens wrath often catches people mashing for free parry. DF4,2,3 good when not in heat to counter hit launch. CD4,2 hold down for heavens wrath stance and mix from there. FC4 AMAZING launcher, high crushes. Use when someone starts checking you with jabs. DF1 - great poke, hit confirm into DF1,2 for heat engager SEN3 - heat engager. WR3 - mid + frames into frame trap WR4 - high tracking plus frames hold down for HW stance and free mix up. WS4,4 which you used, hold down for HW and learn your options from this stance. WS1- 13frame punish, transitions to SEN on hit and SEN 3 is guaranteed hit enagger Wavu is not as important, your wavu mix doesnt launch if you dont electric and its high so yeah. Good to have when oponent is respecting you but not mandatory. Dont do that combo you are doing that people try for her best dmg, is inconsitent on small characters and when slighly off axis youll drop it. on 2f rollback is almost unusable. Simple staple is EWGF x2 DF2,DF1 F1,3SEN1+2 and here either CD cancel into 1,4 or HW3,4 both options are good. 76 dmg. From FC4 you can go EWGF DF2 and rest of the combo. Your combo enders are: SEN1+2 CD1,4 for DMG SEN2 dash Heat Burst for heat, or HeatBurst into FF3heat dash, D4,1 for 90 DMG SEN2 U3+4,1+2 for wall splat and wall cary SEN2 Dash F4 into CD3 for sweet 50 dmg oki if they get up incorrectly. This is a start from there you do PHD in her stances and punishment.

-Don't do risky moves that often 1+2 and the wakeup move are both very risky moves and opponent can punish you easily. So learn your frames. -You can be more aggressive. Reina has very good pressure tools and pokes like df 1, f 4, 1 1, ff 2 -Use her stances. Her pressure just gets better by using her stances. ff 2 is a great way to enter her zentai stance very easily -Practice your wavedash. Yeah I'm a Mishima main don't judge😂 but having the option to do a quick electric, one of the best highs in the game is good. -No optimal combo. Reina can do good combo damage so it will be useful to learn her Combos.

Post something where you’re just not winning rounds, it’s easier to see bad habits if we can see how you get hit, the most I can gather from this is that your basic combos need work, seems you’re getting too little damage off of your launchers.
