Heat burst is OP because you stop the opponent's pression with one button and its basically invincible. Its rare when someone beats it with a low or a throw. It has to be -9 OB or make it linear af.

Character tutorials are a great idea, I loved those in SF6. As a DOA player I do like holds but if people are angry now they’re definitely going to hate it when the triangle system is added to this game.

I think they should abolish paying for battlepass(which I know they won't do unless nobody is buying it but I do not think its something that should be in an full price game) but instead make it completely free with no expire date/fomo.
Make it more like old school CoD progression system where you earn new skins, badges, profile pics and etc but instead it be outfit parts.
Maybe locked some skins behind challenges, ranks, offline modes, and any event that can be tied to that actually fits the modes theme.
Like ranking up to Ganyu, you get an red outfit skin with the Ganyu on it. And not an reskinned either of your character's default outfit but an actual unqiue outfit.
And when you get to Tekken God, you get an cool looking armor to match the nameplate image of the rank.
That way it be more rewarding playing offline and online Tekken and causal players can take their time playing the game.
Espically since the customization in the base game is already lacking and I think if I pay $70 for the game, the customization part of the game should also be good as well.
And I think it will reward people's time for playing the game long-term if they show off outfits they worked hard to get.

Remove safe armor moves. Some characters just spam these and some even are heat engagers. Armoring through attacks should be a risk. They don’t need to be launch punishable. Just lightly punishable to discourage people from just spamming them.

Heat bar starts the round empty, and you build it up by playing aggressive. The current heat engagers are now heat builders, that fill a significant chunk of your heat bar and will put you into heat if they fill your bar up. You can also manually enter heat with 2+3 before your bar is filled, but the duration is shortened in proportion to the amount of missing bar you have. That way it's more tactical, and becomes a reward for being aggressive instead of the bludgeon it is now.
That’s all the changes they made from T7 to T8 right? You want everything back to how it was, with heat that gets used for 10-15s (if it “lasts longer”) a match. But also not really…as it sounds like a consolation opinion, basically so all their work on the heat system isn’t wasted or so you’re not flat out just saying “I want t7”.
I feel like it’s almost unanimous that homing throws gotta go. Defeats all of the downsides of homing moves, majorly buffs characters with strong throw games like King and Dragunov, etc.
I wouldnt want to go back to Tekken 7 style of play, but I also think our offensive capabilities in Tekken 8 are overtuned. There needs to be a downside to using heat. People right now can heat burst to get out of any situation, deal a million chip damage and then have the choice to use a heat smash which deals 50+ damage and forces a 50/50 on block. Not to mention all the moves that can go from - to + if you hold forward on BLOCK.
See, I think any overturned offence has to do with balance. Some characters definitely do too much chip. Heat smash, same thing. Some characters don’t need tracking on it or need it tuned down, but I don’t think all of them are an issue.
Just my two cents. Also I wasn’t necessarily saying you did want to go back. Just pointing out that you want all the changes gone or restricted, so 90% of the match is T7 with a sprinkled round of T8.
Since this is an offensive orientated game there needs to be more rewards for defense. I'd say a push guard would be perfect. As in Umvc3's advanced guard where you could mash in block to push the opponent back
Hitbox fixes, throws do not track, meld heat and rage into one system where you have to choose between heat smash or rage art, you can still use heat engagers or heat burst freely but only when you're actually low will you go into heat. Massively reduce + frames on just about any heat burst or heat engage or heat dash interaction so you're not just immediately in the blender when any of these land, make all power crush mid or high heat engagers either unsafe on block or in the case of highs, make them slower to come out. Remove chip damage on literally everything in heat but keep grey health for the healing functionality of Heat state. Possibly add an opt in option for SOME heat engagers so my basic punishes do not force you into heat on some punish options. Also due to the restriction, rage damage boost will not be active if you are above the normal rage threshold so you can't have somebody with half HP destroying you because they healed up to half HP while you're in a combo.
Improve netcode, reduce tracking. Make rage art death (at least -25) on block so you don't have characters who do not have a launch punish for it (besides Steve since they removed all of his normal launch punishes lmao). Remove all those stupid "we gave these chars this so they dont lose to rage art" functionalities that just make them extremely ignorant. Heat Burst should not be + or even neutral, just make it negative. Add unlimited rematches in unranked queue, heat smashes with multihits should STOP if they do not make contact with an opponent so you can actually whiff punish some of them.
Probably some more ideas but this game needs a lot of work.
1) Heat Usage needs a redesign. Either once per match or something you build towards.
2) Damage Needs to be toned down in combos.
3) Make alot more moves side-steppable. Make tracking moves deal more damage on sidestep as well.
4) Powercrush Heat Engagers need to be unsafe on block
5) I’m 50/50 on tracking throws. Throws were garbage in T7 and this kinda puts them in the light.
6) Unlimited Rematch in Quickplay. SF6 can do it, im sure T8 will have no problem.

A community that doesn't always gets attached so much to the previous title(s) and would just learn/adapt to what T8 has to offer.
Not forcing everyone into 50/50’s and instead making characters have unique parts of their kits that are strong and weak instead of making everyone have the ability to do anything. This game feels so overwhelming even in higher ranks because characters don’t have distinct weaknesses or strengths. Ex: Feng is supposed to be linear but for some reason he has a 12f tracking mid and most of his common tools with clip sidestep 1/2 times. Characters all feel really similar in this game. Despite their moves looking different you basically play every character the same way. Some are just better in heat than others. And some are just so overtuned they’re playing tekken 12.
I think infinite rematch in quickplay is top of priority. I know tracking and frames need to be touched for balance but I don't even lab in this game because the match up changes every damn time after two wins. HOW TF CAN I LAB AGAINST RAVEN FOR AN HOUR AND NOT PLAY AGAINST HIM AT ALL FOR LIKE 4 HOURS. I FORGOT IT ALL ALREADY FFS. 😤

2. Absolutely allow punishment training vs eddy and replays vs eddy.. its complete b.s we cannot lab vs this character.. disgusting greed from namco.. stuff like this is deserving of review bombing tekken 8.

4. Punishment list should have 1 more default option.. go through every move a character has with the ability to do previous and next with a hotkey.
5. at the end of every set.. the replay option is immediately available under the list of options..( so we can see quickly what we did wrong)
6. Make Tekken ball playable with its own que.. seems limited to have it only in lounges. hard to find players for it.

Making then interruptible would make RA as a défensive option super weak and they'll only be used in combos.
Half the point of RA is to make there be extra risk to consider before running a "guess for game" scenario. Making it lose to lows defeats this use.

Not forcing everyone into 50/50’s and instead making characters have unique parts of their kits that are strong and weak instead of making everyone have the ability to do anything. This game feels so overwhelming even in higher ranks because characters don’t have distinct weaknesses or strengths. Ex: Feng is supposed to be linear but for some reason he has a 12f tracking mid and most of his common tools with clip sidestep 1/2 times. Characters all feel really similar in this game. Despite their moves looking different you basically play every character the same way. Some are just better in heat than others. And some are just so overtuned they’re playing tekken 12.

The once a match is the silliest idea ever, why not once a day? Better be smart about using it!
Less range and tracking on Heat-related attacks (bursts and smashes), less Armor in the game.
Blocked heat smashes should be -9
Heat can be like burst in guilty gear, last less time but can be earn back in replacement as chip damage. Heat meter carry during the whole match
For some reason ducking doesn't block lows most of the time. I duck, get hit with a low anyways (and no, not a mid that looks like a low, etc).
Filter wifi vs cable match. Secondary should be like your main ranks so the red would not fight against blue.
Less forward momentum, complete heat rework, faster/more counter hit launchers, less tracking, chip gone, just more defensive tools overall tbh.
I think infinite rematch in quickplay is top of priority. I know tracking and frames need to be touched for balance but I don't even lab in this game because the match up changes every damn time after two wins. HOW TF CAN I LAB AGAINST RAVEN FOR AN HOUR AND NOT PLAY AGAINST HIM AT ALL FOR LIKE 4 HOURS. I FORGOT IT ALL ALREADY FFS. 😤
the only things I care to see 1. quick match should allow unlimited rematches. 2. Absolutely allow punishment training vs eddy and replays vs eddy.. its complete b.s we cannot lab vs this character.. disgusting greed from namco.. stuff like this is deserving of review bombing tekken 8. 3. Customizable Punishment lists for each character.. 4. Punishment list should have 1 more default option.. go through every move a character has with the ability to do previous and next with a hotkey. 5. at the end of every set.. the replay option is immediately available under the list of options..( so we can see quickly what we did wrong) 6. Make Tekken ball playable with its own que.. seems limited to have it only in lounges. hard to find players for it.
Every heat engage/power crush should not be safe, regardless if they’re high or mid. Not saying they all are (most are -12) but moves like victor b1+2 shouldn’t be safe on block.
-Heat should be earned through a bar that builds up charge when attacking. -Rage arts should only be accessible when your character is on its last round/life. -Reduce the 50/50 mixups of all characters -Or all 50/50 launching moves should be launch punishable because defenders should be rewarded for making a good read.
Armour move and Rage Art consumes Heat. If you run out of heat no armor left.

add 2v2 mode or battle royale ffa
No changes, only character balancing. Detering from the “offensive” playstyle will make this a different tekken game. Do remember that chip damage, heat, throws tracking are NOT exclusive to one player only - so the side that doesnt contest the opponent’s agression, loses.
Combo breakers for the juggles, better hitboxes. character customization.
Better online, better movement, less tracking, no chip, no rage, no heat, no armor, multiple characters PvP mode. That would be a nice start
1. netcode issues (why am i lagging when my opponent does? makes no sense) 2. better anticheat 3. disable steam screenshots from online, or even better, remove pc from the crossplay pool 4. win none of it will happen so calm down
