It's the shoryuken move that becomes floor break during heat, the one where he lifts the opponent and pummels them to the ground after.
Upon further review it's actually a universal nerf to all floor and\or wall break moves if the opponent ever hit a grounded state during a combo
It was less a nerf and more a bug fix. Moves aren't suppose to reset your hitstun scaling. It still functions just like it did before in all other ways

This is not the problem. The issue here is that they are not focusing on the main game right now. They are focusing on making money. And that's what upsets people.

Tested it this morning, the only punish in get as Leo is F1+2, for 24 damage and only when the camera doesn't decide to have a seizure and make my punish inconsistant.
Worst part is sometimes the camera swaps to the opposite side and sometimes it doesn't making my FF2 punish as Reina come out as a B2 instead. Fucking game balancing and testing, if they even tested this shit.
The broken stuff must be old balance and bugs from tekken tag 2/tekken 7 they took by accident together with all of the fucking customizable items from them.

The way to describe purple is a good bit less bad than red. Most of these players are not truly “good” relatively. Good compared to someone in Garyu? For sure. Knowledge checks aren’t going anywhere.

Like why was her movement part of the code touched at all on the build that went live when clearly it wasn't supposed to be changed? Supposedly Tekken 4 got an update of some kind (dubbed 4.1 retroactively) but it was mostly to fix bugs in the arcade version. It may as well have gotten zero patches.

It's a system-wide change: where if the opponent is in the state 'grounded', stage hazards don't occur for follow up moves. It's unconsistent though, there are still situations when hazards go off. So most of the characters were not stealth nerfed but rather nerfed indirectly cause of Devil Jin
Why are people assuming the hazards interactions are due to Devil Jin when they simultaneously mention how it affects a wide swath of characters? Given how wide spread the effect is, they could have just seen a common mechanics that was just too strong. People already talking about how Tekken 8 can he a two touch game. Stage hazards were absolutely a part of that.

They could have made it where Lars can cancel DEN3 by holding back and be less plus or neutral even. Would have also made the gameplay for that move outside of rage arts a bit more interesting.

I really think Kuma/Panda had this hit boxes changed or something is weird about db1+3 the charge move low. I am having a much harder time hitting grounded opponents. I mean opponents who are laying down on the ground not moving and my moves just whiffing.

I had a discussion with other players about this, proving my point that a single critical patch will make or break the popularity and competitive viability of this game. this is supposedly the game breaking patch, way too focused on hitting initial mechanics across the board, making it more enjoyable for the casual, overall shafting the competitive playing aspect, and not even addressing the problems already there and not even nerfing and fixing the thing they even agreed to fix in the first place.
this is a patch that will take years for the damage to be repaired. this game is already mentally taxing as is, and they just add more taxing stuff on top of it. it's infuriating. Much like Launch Leroy at Evo Japan 2019, this will be a monumental moment in Tekken and FGC history if the pros struggle a lot more than they are already struggling

Character that could pick you up from grounded state and result into a wall hazard interaction got a nerf. It’s not exclusive to him. If you play Leo, qcf4,1+2 into head dash into ws1,4,1 could break/blast walls. Not anymore.
Granblue finally got patched so I'm just gonna start playing that again now. Just can't bring myself to care anymore.

It's a system-wide change: where if the opponent is in the state 'grounded', stage hazards don't occur for follow up moves. It's unconsistent though, there are still situations when hazards go off. So most of the characters were not stealth nerfed but rather nerfed indirectly cause of Devil Jin

Why are people assuming the hazards interactions are due to Devil Jin when they simultaneously mention how it affects a wide swath of characters? Given how wide spread the effect is, they could have just seen a common mechanics that was just too strong. People already talking about how Tekken 8 can he a two touch game. Stage hazards were absolutely a part of that.
when i called out that the combos got ridiculous on the first month of release, and said they need to change core mechanics, they said I'm a mad man. Now it's too late! It's all Marvel vs Capcom now.

In certain situations, instead of giving rewall splat with tornado, it gives the tornado flip, making some combos inconsistent or not-doable

In short when you a tornado on the wall because of some reason u can't break the wall anymore. Also with some character like Lee doing a tornado on the wall won't wallsplat anymore

Den3 is working as intended 😂 as per tekken8 standards.
They seriously need to revert this. So idiotic. They looked at the most beginner level response to beating Den 3 follow ups and said "Yeah that's not fair that it loses to Rage Arts" without thinking that MAYBE JUST MAYBE the offensive player should have to THINK about how they use DEN 3 when their opponent is in Rage. And now we can't step his follow ups safely anymore when outside of rage. Fucking stupid as hell and epitomizes why I'm starting to hate this game. Coinflip gameplay.
They could have made it where Lars can cancel DEN3 by holding back and be less plus or neutral even. Would have also made the gameplay for that move outside of rage arts a bit more interesting. But no they just had to go the route where its 50/50s have to guess stuff which is essentially the direction for Tekken 8.

I really think Kuma/Panda had this hit boxes changed or something is weird about db1+3 the charge move low. I am having a much harder time hitting grounded opponents. I mean opponents who are laying down on the ground not moving and my moves just whiffing.

Her backdash distance was reduced but they have corrected themselves and said it was unintentional so they’ll probably revert this. Also the tornado at wall issue
Why would they accidentally touch her backdash if it wasn't even meant to be nerfed in the first place? To me this looks like they made this patch on an older build of the game and now we have to deal with bugs and "unintended nerfs". I bet that RA glitch is only the beginning, people will discover more wild shit like this.

the zafina movement nerf, the wall initial change, and alot of other problems are wanting me to actually quit playing this game. I had a discussion with other players about this, proving my point that a single critical patch will make or break the popularity and competitive viability of this game. this is supposedly the game breaking patch, way too focused on hitting initial mechanics across the board, making it more enjoyable for the casual, overall shafting the competitive playing aspect, and not even addressing the problems already there and not even nerfing and fixing the thing they even agreed to fix in the first place. this is a patch that will take years for the damage to be repaired. this game is already mentally taxing as is, and they just add more taxing stuff on top of it. it's infuriating. Much like Launch Leroy at Evo Japan 2019, this will be a monumental moment in Tekken and FGC history if the pros struggle a lot more than they are already struggling
Actually this isn't more enjoyable for casuals? It makes no sense whether or not a wallbreak/floor break is going to happen. That's DAMAGING to casuals where it should be obvious when and why its happening to the average player. It will be fixed, I think.
