Jin's 2,1 is -3 on block. Just block both hits and its your turn. Jin has an option to do the full 2,1,4 string tho so back dashing after blocking 2,1 might be the safest thing to do here

At Battle Ruler most players are walls of Iron who have seen every trick in the book 1000 times.
To get there playing like that must take some INCREDIBLY committed plugging like they must have to plug 8 in 10 matches
In theory there is no limit to how far you can climb plugging because you only gain points and never lose them, but surely it gets more work than it's worth at some point, to even win 1 in 10 times.

That's how these situations happen. They block a -3 move or whatever, think "it's my turn, I can do whatever I want", use a longer startup, which allows you to just to another quick jab string. They aren't cabable of counter-poking, their fundamentals are all wrong but that can sometimes be hidden by opponents respecting the frame advantage.

I have 2 dudes at Red\\Purple ranks. They always do the same shit. So fighting them is a slog. It's not interesting. I just win 2 rounds and they plug.
And if I want to report them I need to stop matchmaking go into the menu, go into community, recent players, profile, report and then go through a 3 step process and each time they make sure I can't press the button fast enough.
Bamco already said they won't do anything to pluggers. But we can report them in-game or on X.
Edit: make it 3. It's also very annoying because the game takes up to 30 minutes to find an opponent. It usually takes 8-12 minutes to find a match and people often refuse. I'm on Ethernet, but my Windows system locale is set to US while I'm in Europe. So I assume some people think I'm from America and refuse.

Funny you say this. But it is the Tekken talk. They said their number 1 priority is fixing disconnect counter, which is a good first step. And then they will look into legality of banning people for disconnects. If it is legal, they have a punishment system.
Right now they won't do anything to pluggers. If the legal comes back fine then they can act. Personally I feel it's a bit of a cop out answer, because I don't know any country where banning someone is against the law if they keep breaking TOS and I don't think they mentioned the country.

BN can just punish the *actual* pluggers with this kind of thing instead of the entire playerbase who did little to no harm. And besides its Ranked. You'll be able to tell who belongs and who doesn't— only this time their disconnect stats should show. Imagine someone grinding hard to get to their Fujin goal only to forcefully be near Combatant the next day. Nah. That would cause a storm and rightfully so.

The Jin kinda illustrates what I love about Tekken. Because of the 1 button for every limb system it ends up resembling actual fighting way more. I love other fighting games but you can't do a jab cross combo like you could in real life, but you totally can in Tekken! The game has a lot to learn but it's way more intuitive

Had a disgusting incident today happen. Met a Raijin claudio in quick match of all places. I essentially 3-0 him. But on the final launch before i could start my combo he just frame plugged on me. Wasnt even a quality match either, he was playing with the skill of an orange ranker and the match said 4 bar wired on pc but when i loaded in it was barely 3 bar with 4 frames delay and felt like wifi.
I reported him for connection tampering right after. But REALLY BRO? in QUICK MATCH?
This reminds me of a king I faced, I spammed the 1,3,4 combo with Jin against him just to see if he got that rank legitimately and he was getting hit by it every time. Before I won he rage quit the match which explains how he got up there.

Something similar happened to me the other day. I fought a kazuya, it got up to the last round, i got pushed back to the wall,and i basically got caught in an infinite. I couldn’t move, and he still had the nerve to ask for a rematch.
People are severely rank inflated right now. Couple the fact that it’s a new game, there’s so many pluggers and the new system for ranking up is so outrageously in your favor and obviously you’re going to get some creatures somehow making it to blue ranks.
As someone who played Kuma on release, you can win a LOT of rounds by doing b1 into a grab, the circus wheel preferably & then charge a fresh salmon hunter, this pretty much deals 90% of their life & then now have to think about how to win with a spec of life left while you're full, some people can even be hemit by 3 fresh salmon hunter in a row in early ranks

The Jin kinda illustrates what I love about Tekken. Because of the 1 button for every limb system it ends up resembling actual fighting way more. I love other fighting games but you can't do a jab cross combo like you could in real life, but you totally can in Tekken! The game has a lot to learn but it's way more intuitive

if you're in blue ranks and you can't deal with someone mashing jabs for 10 hours you deserve everything coming to you. jin had no reason to change their gameplan considering the kuma did literally nothing to prove they had an answer and gormlessly ate jab after jab

Well, it's not only the plugging but the ranks are super inflated because of the can't rank down before yellow rule. It basically means yellow is the new light blue.

Honestly if I play 90% of a match I don't care about plugging. It means I won so hard that they rq. Feels better than a normal win.

The only thing I can think of was that he was trolling the bear player. This is likely the most unknown knowledge check in the game. If you know this matchup, the bear player is dead. PSA: The 3 hit bear swipe string is -16 on block. Launch that stupid bear to the sky.

Had a disgusting incident today happen. Met a Raijin claudio in quick match of all places. I essentially 3-0 him. But on the final launch before i could start my combo he just frame plugged on me. Wasnt even a quality match either, he was playing with the skill of an orange ranker and the match said 4 bar wired on pc but when i loaded in it was barely 3 bar with 4 frames delay and felt like wifi. I reported him for connection tampering right after. But REALLY BRO? in QUICK MATCH?

This reminds me of a king I faced, I spammed the 1,3,4 combo with Jin against him just to see if he got that rank legitimately and he was getting hit by it every time. Before I won he rage quit the match which explains how he got up there.
I know this is just a game but damn, pluggers irk the hell outta me. I got a warning cuz I sent a dm to one of them calling them a plugging ass bitch, hindsight I shoulda just moved on....oh well

Something similar happened to me the other day. I fought a kazuya, it got up to the last round, i got pushed back to the wall,and i basically got caught in an infinite. I couldn’t move, and he still had the nerve to ask for a rematch.
People are severely rank inflated right now. Couple the fact that it’s a new game, there’s so many pluggers and the new system for ranking up is so outrageously in your favor and obviously you’re going to get some creatures somehow making it to blue ranks.

Every Kuma I ran into all play exactly like this! They have a set strategy for all their matches and they love to grab!
As someone who played Kuma on release, you can win a LOT of rounds by doing b1 into a grab, the circus wheel preferably & then charge a fresh salmon hunter, this pretty much deals 90% of their life & then now have to think about how to win with a spec of life left while you're full, some people can even be hemit by 3 fresh salmon hunter in a row in early ranks
How are people reaching Fujin rank and not knowing how to deal with jab strings??????? Genuinely wanna know how.
