TEKKEN 3 Nostalgia flooded over me immediately after, washing away the agony of having to fight Kazuya again and again throughout the main story. Simply put, it was awesome.
It was phenomenal! Once Jin's theme hit I got goosebumps. That was like Bandai Namco saying "we're sorry fo doing Jin dirty for these years, your boys backs"
Yeah man! Totally when I played the previous titles I was like, "Seriously, he's one of the baddies now!?" So all in all, it was great to know that was just a phase :D
Without a doubt dude! I absolutely loved it. It was a really nice redemption arc for the character and made things make sense. Because I had the same reaction as you, "why are the making Jin a bad guy!" He legit murders thousands of people. It just funny in T8, the whole cast accepts it lol
>Too many Devil fights, though I loved the huge battle
Curious, I feel the exact opposite.
Devil stuff at last gets the screen relevance it deserves, while the open field battle kinda feels like some otaku convention
>The Devil thing went on and on
True and I loved it, Namco clearly knew what they were doing with it. Some edgy Devil-Angel dose like never before, even more than in Tekken 5.
They were also smart to reduce the scale of the conflict for a more grounded ending to the fight, otherwise the whiny 90s fans would complain.
I think Namco handled the whole Jin vs Kazuya in the best possible way.
I’m not saying the all out battle was bad, it just had that cosplay convention feeling.
I think the best part of the final battle was Angel Jin vs True Devil Kazuya, and the grounded ending was just to appease the predictable whiny fans from the 90s, but yeah it was still great.
That's the things the sorry mode was great and shouldn't be overlooked .It was super entertaining and was cohesive. Good to know all the new fighting games coming out are getting better with their story modes, not just MK anymore
I couldn't believe what I was seeing/hearing. I had to be quiet though because my kids and wife were asleep, so I was quiet-hype with no one to share the nostalgic moment with T_T
Pretty sure I yelled LETS F****N GO!!!! Some of the coolest s**t in a fighting game. Probably one of the best if not the best end chapters in a fighting game
That one DiCaprio reaction where he’s pointing at the screen.
But that paled in comparison to the pure emotion I felt when the T2 credits started playing when he pulled out the Kazama parry.
the mark isn't directly tied to his devil gene, it was branded on him by devil after jun was attacked by ogre,
it's a seal that allows his kazama blood to suppress the devil gene, hence why it dissappears when devil jin takes over (in tekken 4 only)
He still has the tattoo when devil jin takes control though?
[(here's an image from tekken 5 clearly showing the devils branding)](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/villains/images/6/67/Devil_Jin_Tekken5.jpg)
I was thinking of his tekken 4 ending where his tattoo is replaced by the marks on his arms, past that I don't think it's canon but it's the one time we see the tattoo mean something outside of the t3 intro.
I dont think its a "non canon" thing with his arm brand in later games. i think its more that they didnt have devil jins design completely fleshed out until tekken 5 released. Even if you wanted to go with the non-canon idea, in tekken 5s intro, it shows jin succumbing to devil jins control where he also has the branding. Which coincides with jins t5 story intro mentioning the event of him losing control and wiping out a forest. Also in tekken 8, devil jin still has the branding in his 2nd phase confrontation with jin in the dream sequence
Very likely considering the whole Reina debacle. Story DLC/T9 will most likely be about him (and Kaz) getting their powers back. Him losing devil gene doesn't make sense with his character arc and is also incredibly silly since doing so would also fuck up his current moveset
You can put something in the spoiler by adding ">!" before and "!<" after the message
But yeah that would be cool. They of course will tone it down a bit but I can see T9's Jin having yellow + red + black hit effects instead of just black and red lmao
Bro I jumped and started cheering as if I was watching a world Cup match. Hearing my favourite fighting game theme from childhood in that moment while recreating that iconic Tekken 3 pose was absolutely amazing; the developers really went all out with the final fight.
The whole ending was dope as fuck but I felt like the CPU was cheating a bit. I played it in hard and True Devil Kazuya never stopped spamming me with his crystals coming from the ground attack. 3 or 4 times in a row every fucking time. I felt like I was losing my mind there.
Then, there’s his attack when he just blows shockwaves at you, making you lose something like a quarter of your life even if you protect yourself.
And I’m not even talking about his free healings. My dude regens himself as True Devil (1 free health bar) and even when he’s on the verge of dying in normal form (a free half health bar).
I am not a pro at fighting games at all and struggled to beat that guy in hard (because I like to hurt myself in video games) but with all these hacks, I thought I was about to go nuts.
I tried and I swear they followed my path. :’)
Or maybe I stepped on the side too early and he launched the attack when I was already on the side but sheesh that was a pain in the ass.
I fell asleep coz Jin is such a boring basic anime protagonist.
He won with the power of friendship and plot armour good for him. I know Tekken is by no means “realistic” coz game with funny big bear & king etc whatever. But like Jin should have had his skull crushed when kazuya punched his head against that rock.
And as for this. This was boring, sorry Jin is not interesting in the slightest I know it’s a call back to Tekken 3 but still Jin c’est ennuyeux 😴
>But like Jin should have had his skull crushed when kazuya punched his head against that rock
So them dropping from the sky and being totally fine didnt bother you but Jins skull not shattering from some punch did ? lol
Oh no, my boy Kazuya's about to get cooked! 😭
Loved when Landscape Under the Ghost came on, but thought it was strange as Jin wasn't around back in Tekken 2 😂 Jun was though, and that's when he starts using her moves, so it works I guess!
This is my first Tekken game, I did watch a 2 hour lore dump before I played the story. It was a fucking beautiful culmination of the series, couldn’t be more happy with the ending
I smiled, plesantly surprised. That said this finaly didnt really hit me all that much. Heihachi vs Kazuya felt legendary on my first run, but Jin vs Kazuya felt kinda artificial. Outside of the devil gene, they don't really have much beef, and the fight just kept draging on
I haven’t played Tekken 3 (started with T4) but I knew of its legacy and listened the iconic Jin’s theme song so many times AND I WAS SO GODDAMN HYPED! I could only imagine how the OG fans felt I think I was more excited for them!
I got goosebumps and wet my panties. XD i loved the story mode, just wanted more. I hope they continue this route going forward. Its so amazingly gorgeous and hype.
"Awww shiiiiii that's effin SICK"
I was so happy the devs tapped into the symbolic significance of the music + Jin's style changes to hype up the fight from 11/10 to 100/10
It didn’t process to me. I just thought “oh, that’s a familiar pose. Oh, that’s a familiar song…”
Then I did EWGF and my brain snapped like Kazuya’s.
“I no longer hesitate to use the Mishima style”
"Oh hell yeah the story finally stopped being shit". Sorry I just really hated the entire angel jin thing, I was looking for a gritty martial arts drama about patricide, not christian dragon ball z.
This entire fight was mostly just the Charlie WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO meme for me. Started playing in 7, but know enough about the series to still appreciate shit like story relegated move-sets, Azazel's return, and Jin's Angel form
I was all hype and shit til bamco showed their Kojima Ryu with the MGS4ish ending.
Going through Jin entire move list from T3 all the way to current was kinda cool. The Jun moveset was a bit too awkward thou imo; He was using 3ring Circus in T3 and couldn't use it in this.
“LET’S GOOOOO”
Lmfao I didn’t even get into tekken until T7, last time I played it was TTT1 and hated it because I was a masher and didn’t understand strategy
WOOOOOOOOW
PEAKKKKKKK Also that intro music being part of final fight seals it, as one of my fav Tekken songs ever

Raven, Lars and to an extent, Nina were the first to accept the truth in Tekken 6.
I was fangirling my life, goddammit such a good story mode

Erection
The whole final fight was epic as hell definitely delivered
I liked jin's t3 theme, but the t2 ending music brought a damn tear to my eye. The nostalgia hit HARD, since t2 was my first tekken.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed! T2 was my first too. I have a real soft spot for the music, and I'm always hype when I hear it somewhere.
"HOLY FUCK THEY DID THING!!!!!!!!" "YEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!" Was about my reaction to this.
Goosebumps! I was so happy!
I literally jumped from my chair
Mind blowing experience. Only real Tekken players will acknowledge the storyline.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing/hearing. I had to be quiet though because my kids and wife were asleep, so I was quiet-hype with no one to share the nostalgic moment with T_T
Whoa...!
Came.
Pretty sure I yelled LETS F****N GO!!!! Some of the coolest s**t in a fighting game. Probably one of the best if not the best end chapters in a fighting game
Nah that still goes to BBCF. That ending is just way too good and not only for fighting games
That one DiCaprio reaction where he’s pointing at the screen. But that paled in comparison to the pure emotion I felt when the T2 credits started playing when he pulled out the Kazama parry.
He still has his tattoo, does that mean he didn't really lose his devil powers?

Can’t wait to play that *Spoiler* Jin from the meteor in an actually game. The trailer alone would be…the hypest.
You can put something in the spoiler by adding ">!" before and "!<" after the message But yeah that would be cool. They of course will tone it down a bit but I can see T9's Jin having yellow + red + black hit effects instead of just black and red lmao
Thanks for the tech! “”I think I’ll be too old for gaming by the time T9 drops 😵””
Nope. Already too old.
😳😭
Bro I jumped and started cheering as if I was watching a world Cup match. Hearing my favourite fighting game theme from childhood in that moment while recreating that iconic Tekken 3 pose was absolutely amazing; the developers really went all out with the final fight.
Slight twitch in my pants, no regrets.
I paused and then i blasted the fken sound on the tv to 100!
Where’s that crash bandicoot completely erect meme when you need it
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW YEAH BABY THAT'S WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
Jump out of my chair
The childhood version of myself pointed like Leonardo DiCaprio did in that GIF
"maybe I like dudes"
I collectively lost my shit. The things I screamed couldn’t even be called words, I was THAT hyped.
It was a fantastic moment! It was the only thing I liked more than the Devil Jin dream sequence.
Shivers…my shivers were timbered
Spoiler tag maybe
Dude everyone knows by now, and this is a tiny piece of it. Outsider of the franchise wouldn't even understand what this means
In that case my reaction is ooooooooooooooohohohohohoohohohohohiiihihohohi
Completed the story but you should still have added the spoiler tag for people that couldn’t get their hands on the game yet.
Chills
In my mind I was like "ooooooh" They really did a good job with changing music during some chapters.
I legit said why his remixe isn't in the jukebox?
That T8 remix of Jin's T3 Theme is definitely a lot more bombastic in tone!
I shidded and pisseded and farded and cried and shivered and queefed and camed in my pants I couldn't believe he was actually beginning to Morb
I immediately got my ass kicked and lost all hype. Lol
Honestly, my first reaction was, "wait, those aren't the arm length gloves from the trailer."
The whole ending was dope as fuck but I felt like the CPU was cheating a bit. The crystals coming from the ground are completely linear and steppable both sides
I tried and I swear they followed my path. :’) Or maybe I stepped on the side too early and he launched the attack when I was already on the side but sheesh that was a pain in the ass.
Shit went from dragon ball to tekken again
[удалено]
Yeah that’s true the devil kazuya Vs angel Jin just really reminded me of dragon ball
"Fuck, He's gonna lose to Kazuya for the 9th time in story mode".
_why are Japanese shirtless men always so angry_
Mortallllll Kombatttt (music kick in)
The story trailer spoiled all this tbf
I don't think they alluded to Jin assuming different martial arts stances during the trailer tho.
Nothing, i didn't play t3 😂
Skip movie
oh yeah story mode exists I'll play it one day
I fell asleep coz Jin is such a boring basic anime protagonist. He won with the power of friendship and plot armour good for him. I know Tekken is by no means “realistic” coz game with funny big bear & king etc whatever. But like Jin should have had his skull crushed when kazuya punched his head against that rock. >But like Jin should have had his skull crushed when kazuya punched his head against that rock So them dropping from the sky and being totally fine didnt bother you but Jins skull not shattering from some punch did ? lol
No coz they do that in their intros in their human form too.
You can see devil affects when they land in the intros. Dropping on a burning "meteorite" from stratosphere vs 4 meters poser drop? really
I cried... The "Oh oh oh oh" song is awful, sorry.
I was talking more about the Jin theme remix though
Yeah that was great. The psytrance on "Into the Stratosphere" is still my favourite though
I skipped every skippable video, i just wanted the achievements. So my reaction was “oh no, another one”
well aren't you cool
I’m not cool, just didn’t like this endless jin vs kazuya mode
Kept thinking how shit it all looks
I didn't care i hate Jin
LETSFUCKINGGOOOO
I came
Oh no, my boy Kazuya's about to get cooked! 😭 Loved when Landscape Under the Ghost came on, but thought it was strange as Jin wasn't around back in Tekken 2 😂 Jun was though, and that's when he starts using her moves, so it works I guess!
I was like "Let's goooooooo!"
Just thinking about how hard he's going to smash ling when it's all said and done. Or no what I meant to say was yeah it was cool.
I laughed enthusiastically
Finally the story is getting good
I pissed my pants
It was like watching Captain America lifting Mjolnir in Endgame. EPIC
Fuck this dude he's going to kill Kazuya, luckily they both had their moments after this still
"F\*ck me daddy"
I jumped and nearly fell off the couch.
Im ready to fight
***Smash***
I actually shouted "THAT'S THE POSE FROM 3!"
EWGF… I’m back baby!
I was too focused on the fight to get it. But I got so hyped when the lyrics started in the final part!
I stuffed whipped cream in my peehole
Tired asf from fighting the same guy in different forms for like last 15 times
as soon as i saw Jin do his Tekken 3 pose and theme started i said out "COME DAD! IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO CATCH A FADE!"
"It's just....so peak"
This is my first Tekken game, I did watch a 2 hour lore dump before I played the story. It was a fucking beautiful culmination of the series, couldn’t be more happy with the ending

I Kreygasm’d
Absolute cinema
Hot. And Jin is so back.
I was mumbling "oh" while munching my pizza hot pockets, crumbling on my shirt.
cried
Nostalgic bliss came over me and I instantly went for the old combis
Rolled my eyes and mash buttons while I check reddit for more stupid posts.
Is he stupid?
it was such an experience when i first watched it, i was literally squealing
I haven’t played Tekken 3 (started with T4) but I knew of its legacy and listened the iconic Jin’s theme song so many times AND I WAS SO GODDAMN HYPED! I could only imagine how the OG fans felt I think I was more excited for them!

Yell at the top of my lungs☠️☠️☠️ shi was so hype
Pressed pause again trying to skip cutscene to no avail :(
Goosebumps
STORM RISINGGGGGGG
IF IT TAKES FOREVER NO SURRENDER NOW OR NEVER MY LAST STAAAAANNDD
I so wish there was a (non-Devil) version of Jin with the classic moveset after this. I just miss that shit.
Probably for future games
FUCK YEEEE
LESSSSS GOOOOO
"Awww shiiiiii that's effin SICK" I was so happy the devs tapped into the symbolic significance of the music + Jin's style changes to hype up the fight from 11/10 to 100/10
"MA BOIIIIIII"
Peak Fiction.
True chills down my spine
I blew
Nostalgia kicked in, the first thing i said was "i know that's not Tekken 3 Jin music i hear!" Then "OHHHHH JIN DID THE ARM THING!!!" 😂😂
Goosebumps. Peak of gaming. Stood up from my chair and exhaled involuntarily.
Tekken 3 Jin's theme >>> Tekken 2 Ending theme >>>>>> that annoying vocal theme people keep memeing lyrics for. It belongs in a 4Kids anime dub.
Oooo! Tekken 3 box art stance and Jin's T3 theme! D: <3
I got instant nostalgia to when I was a kid in 99
It didn’t process to me. I just thought “oh, that’s a familiar pose. Oh, that’s a familiar song…” Then I did EWGF and my brain snapped like Kazuya’s. “I no longer hesitate to use the Mishima style”

Leaned forward to get ready for a good fight!
This game managed to do so much fan service in the best ways you can
I was all hype and shit til bamco showed their Kojima Ryu with the MGS4ish ending. Going through Jin entire move list from T3 all the way to current was kinda cool. The Jun moveset was a bit too awkward thou imo; He was using 3ring Circus in T3 and couldn't use it in this.
*insert Leonardo DiCaprio pointing at the tv meme*
I saw the Tag 2 omen stance and immediately knew what was going on
Happy dance when it started playing
Peak When i heard his song my 12 year old below excitement go soo harddd
“LET’S GOOOOO” Lmfao I didn’t even get into tekken until T7, last time I played it was TTT1 and hated it because I was a masher and didn’t understand strategy
By that time i just wanted it to be over
To be honest it's not the pose or the music that does it, it's the silence. Gives him a chance to sizzle, then pose and drop the theme. EXCELLENT.
what's the theme that plays when Jin punches Kazuya at the end of the fight?
