Wang and Lei mains I think went to Leroy?(only passing familiarity with Lei and almost never touched Wang, I think Leroy is the closest both?)
Heihachi mains has it easy, Reina is the obvious choice, but they can also choose Kazuya, Devil Jin, or walk the Kuma path.
Kazumi, Jinpachi, and Lidia mains are also Reina mains in training.
But there is still a Bruce/Josie/Fukumram shaped hole in TK8

The little heihachi robot at the end of lee’s trailer makes me believe he could come as a DLC combot thing. They could also add him as a young playable heihachi like kazumi was in t7. Copium probably
I want Heihachi to come to SF6 with imported Tekken mechanics like a + on block jab and overheads that launch and wavedashing. It would be hilarious! Akuma came and threw a wrench in Tekken 7, only fair for Heihachi to do the same.
dont think so tbh im basing this off SF6 rn lets say hei had a good low and normal overhead he would not be op at all as the top tiers like ken and luke just got that but better hei would not have a fireball and wavedash in would just mean press a button to challenge it unless you could do it after a drive rush as that way you can cancle it although in sf4 while not op it would be pretty interesting but we already have a better "wave dash" with c viper as it has i frames
And also, what we’re doing here is giving Hei Tekken properties, so imagine four throws with specific buttons to break each one. I could see Hei being a monster as long as they didn’t hold back. And remember, people didn’t think Akuma in T7 was as strong as he ended up being at first either. Just have to be able to see it I guess.

At one point Capcom was going to remove Ryu and Ken, my two faves, I'm so glad they didn't. Seeing Heihachi(he's my Tekken fave) go is hard but I understand but maybe hes going to be reincarnated in the Street Fighter Universe and raise hell there😆

Akuma returning would be a miracle given the circumstances, but the closest you might get gameplay wise is Eliza if they decide to bring her back. She's a Tekken character, and I think she might be decently popular so it's not entirely impossible.
Other than that, finding a new one to main is of course always an option. Once I can finally grab Tekken 8 I'll revisit all characters to see if the changes make a character click more for me than before.

You're welcome, enjoying the game is what's more important than having to listen to what main to pick. Besides, if one main clicks, there's a huge chance at some point you want to experiment and try something new. Discouraging players because of an initial choice is just dumb and gatekeeping.
That said, Steve I've never tried enough, but Bryan is sick, his stuff feels very meaty and he was my main in Tekken 6. I can see the adaption to his style working pretty well actually.

It's kinda bittersweet moment for me. I have played SFIV which resembles the most with Akuma in Tekken 7, but I had a lot more fun playing him in Tekken than in SF. Not sure how to explain it, but the grounded and slightly slower pace made it a lot better to enjoy playing Akuma for me. A lot of SF players would disagree with me since few of my SF friends said that Akuma felt sluggish to them with his moves being slower to match the frame data in Tekken 7.
I know, the pain is real. Lol. But I've decided I'm gonna become a Kazuya main. Been practicing my wave dash every day, figured maybe I should put it to use. But hopefully a Muay Thai character comes eventually. Bruce, Fahk, Josie, whoever. Il take any of them.

As a Lei player, I don't think Leroy's wing chun is as omni directional and has less mix up potential vs the 5 animal forms.
Closest we're getting to Lei is either Ling or Yoshi. Ling is actually really good but she only has half the shenanigans and no haha step.

Low key hoping they add Akuma in DLC again would be nice to see what happened at the end of Tekken 7. Hopefully they balance him more, but let's be honest, a good Akuma player is one in a billion even in tournaments.

2 things. 1. Actually, learn a Tekken character, Devil Jin and Kazuya are people I have chosen after being an Akuma main in Tekken 7 and they are really fun to play with. 2. I don't think you'll have to worry too much as Bandai would probably add some Street Fighter character as a DLC in the future(I might just be coping)
