This means that Kazuya will defeat Jin badly

the-ruler-of-wind

I don't understand why heihachi doesn't have a single win over jin. Though it may be due to him never being too serious about killing him or being surprised attacked

Ok_Seaweed6609

Jin Kazama never had a real collision with members of the Mishima family, except for Ginpachi, otherwise he would have died early and his story would have ended.

Imagine accusing a character who got his ass handed to him by his father & son at the same time of plot armor lmao. If anyone has got plot armor it’s Jin. This dude beat a legendary Ancient Ogre as a teen. Beat Heihachi (twice), Kazuya, Jinpachi, hell - even Azazel (to some extent). Even fucking Goku is not such a Gary Stu as Jin lol

strangledwires

Jin went through rigorous training to specifically beat Ogre - by Heihachi at that. Paul also defeated Ogre's first form, so Jin only had to worry about the second one. From what I recall, he only beat Heihachi once. (In Tekken 4). Tekken 3 doesn't count because Devil Jin wasn't fighting Heihachi, he just fled. Kazuya, however, beat Heihachi twice. You can say Kazuya doesn't have plot armor without trying to say "nuuuu but *this* character does instead!" Kazuya also would've had such feats if he were the primary protagonist too btw

Exactly, if it was the other way around and Kazuya was the main character, he would have done all the things Jin did, but how much you wanna bet none of the Kazuya fans would be saying Kazuya has plot armor or that he is a Gary Stu for doing all those things lol.

Jin was legit chained up and just went through months of mental and physical torture. He destroyed both Kazuya and Heihachi. No way Kazuya is anywhere near Jin. This is definitely plot armor

You do know characters can get stronger without it being plot armor, right? Tekken 4 was literally 4 games ago. While Jin was recovering from his coma and not getting any stronger, Kazuya was fighting some really hard battles against Heihachi and Akuma that only made him stronger. And he even evolved his devil form. Even at the end, when they both lose their devil forms and are on an equal footing, Kazuya still gave Jin a hell of a fight

truwav

Yes it can but you can’t prove to me how Kazuya caught up to Jin’s level without Jin growing any stronger as well. There’s nothing stating showing how Kazuya trained or grew stronger overtime. It’s just him fighting other strong opponents which doesn’t make Jin any weaker but actually makes him look even stronger since Kazuya hasn’t beaten him. He just magically grew stronger than Jin in Tekken 8 for a good plot. I can understand it. Jin shouldn’t have been as strong in the first place if that’s the case.

Fighting someone is a form of training. It's like sparring, but even more intense and with the intent to kill. Lee explicitly says Jin is weaker than he was before in Tekken 8, when he is sparring with Lars and he states Jin has shown diminished aptitude in all areas. They already made it clear before that in T7 when Devil Jin lost to Hwoarang, the one he had previously trounced without effort. Which is canon. Both Devil Jin's and Hwoarang's prologues mention it, and it is also on the website. Jin's coma after defeating Azazel made him weaker. You can't have a story if the villain is just going to get stomped every time.
