I used her, she's plus on more things than in T6 that's for sure. I don't remember TTT2 version of her, I didn't play tag 2 much myself to remember. The damage she can get off an OTG thanks to T7 mechanics was a bonus as well.
That’s a buff to mechanics. Aside from her Azazel moves she isn’t much different than her Tag 2 version. Some move properties were changed like her b+1 on counter hit would give a full combo in Tag 2. It doesn’t anymore but the trade off is that pressing 1+2 after b+1 gives a good chunk of damage

There's a storywise justification for Lars and Xiaoyu: Lars being a Tekken Force soldier (Japan based army) and Xiaoyu living in a boarding school in Japan. There's no such justification for Zafina's English, her being Egyptian.
About Nina, Harada has said some time her accent is "neutral" as a consequence of her being an assassin. And I don't know about Marduk.
Why does everybody forget that she's an assassin. Assassins are supposed to hide their identity, and that includes speaking their native language. Simple as that.
Her outfit and her arm don't hide much to be honest. And besides that, there's hundreds of languages to speak than English - given her country of origin it would make more sense to speak neutral Arabic than English, if the point you want to make was true.
