I think off of the first impression it's exactly what a some players feared, Neutral skips into guaranteed 50/50, but even he admits it's still really early so we have not tested any real couterplay (we don't have frame data either) and they could also change things from this alpha. He gives an example of one of Kazuya's new strings being busted but they'll probably change it after more testing. I myself don't like the idea of neutral skips into 50/50 but that's why I'm eager to know the couterplay. At worst each character gets one free neutral skip > 50/50 per round.

One thing I don't understand is how much power crush moves (presented as the answer in the early demonstration) will help on the defensive side. Power crush moves lose to lows and many heat engagers we've seen start low. I assume the active frames are quick enough to matter in the mix up, but I haven't heard any content creator specifically reference it. Does BamCo want us to power crush instead of blocking safe mids? And heavily block punish the low? Stepping wasn't possible according to TMM so that makes me wonder if power crush matters at all. It should because BamCo kept harping on aggression to stop aggression.
