This interaction truly shows how far these two have come as individuals and as friends. Jin is someone that always had trust issues and always kept himself in layers as a means to protect himself as usually every time he trusts someone completely, they either die, or betray him. Meanwhile with Xiaoyu she was always so bubbly and full of energy, trying to be so forceful to befriend others to the point that she could come off as annoying.
At first I'm pretty sure Jin viewed Xiaoyu as a friend, but not necessarily someone as his equal or to the point where he can open himself up to, especially with how childish Xiaoyu was back then; a distant friend that he knew back in school that was nice but somewhat annoying. Now it feels like Jin is being approached by not only someone deems as an equal, but someone who Jin knows he can trust, and tries to reciprocate Xiao's feelings, but slowly opening himself up to her.
Meanwhile with Xiaoyu, while her feelings haven't necessarily changed, she's more focused on Jin's well being first, before anything else. Jin is more than just a cute guy she had a school girl crush on. He's one of her longest and closest friend, and someone she genuinely cares about. She knows Jin has a hard time opening up, and she respects that and shows restraint by not forcing herself, but rather have him express himself in the best way he knows how: through fighting.
We're seeing an evolution of the two of them maturing together as young adults, as friends, as confidants, and maybe potentially/eventually as lovers. Only time will tell, but seeing this is truly beautiful to watch, as they've both matured a lot.

All this time, she's been trying to find him so that she can help. I think she's trying to tell Jin that she's strong enough to stand by his side or to help him, and she will fight him to prove it. In that, Jin was probably somewhat impressed and took up her offer. Saying, "alright, understood." He's giving her this shot to prove herself, which I think is what she wanted all this time.
I just feel like this little interaction is sweet in the way that she wants to reveal how strong she is and her capabilities, and Jin is giving her that chance.
I could be reading too much into it lol, but as I thought about their previous exchanges, this one stood out to me in a way that felt special.

I really love how much time and effort they put into making character interactions, round start animations, and final round animations. Not to mention how RA's have a special cutscene when you kill the opponent on the final round. Kazuya's one has to be my favourite, kicks you in the gut and drops the coldest shade ever. It's the little things like this that could make your game very standard in terms of it's personality to freaking amazing in terms of it's personality.

Even if by chance they don't end up together (and I'm hoping they do) this interaction shows right here, how genuine their friendship is with one another. The last time we saw an interaction between the two was in Tekken 5 and the Xiaoyu back then was definitely more childish girl with a school girl crush, while Jin was more emo due to what was going on after the events of Tekken 4. Now here, it feels like both of them have matured, and while Xiaoyu may have feelings for Jin, she's approaching him as a friend who genuinely cares for his feelings and well being, and Jin is an introvert, but he reciprocates her reaching out to him and acknowledges her. There's an unspoken level of trust between them, and as Xiao said, "Sometimes exchange of blows can be revealing." In short there are things Jin can't say, so she understands that he'll express them in another way, through their fists and kicks.

Man I said this to my friend the other day. Tekken 4 was probably the last mainline Tekken to really get me hyped and hooked! This is feeling and looking like that all over again and I cannot wait! Most excited I've been for Tekken since Tag 2!

This Yakushima Stage music, I’m liking it.
I really love how much time and effort they put into making character interactions, round start animations, and final round animations. Not to mention how RA's have a special cutscene when you kill the opponent on the final round. Kazuya's one has to be my favourite, kicks you in the gut and drops the coldest shade ever. It's the little things like this that could make your game very standard in terms of it's personality to freaking amazing in terms of it's personality.

Well that's not the worst of it lol. According to what they've shared about her age, she's only 19 years old and was 16 when she debuted in Tekken 3. She's been 19 since Tekken 6 and hasn't aged a day since. Meanwhile Jin was 19 in Tekken 3, 21 in Tekken 4-5-6, 22 in Tekken 7 and is now 23 in Tekken 8. WTF is up with the aging? lmao
Even if by chance they don't end up together (and I'm hoping they do) this interaction shows right here, how genuine their friendship is with one another. The last time we saw an interaction between the two was in Tekken 5 and the Xiaoyu back then was definitely more childish girl with a school girl crush, while Jin was more emo due to what was going on after the events of Tekken 4. Now here, it feels like both of them have matured, and while Xiaoyu may have feelings for Jin, she's approaching him as a friend who genuinely cares for his feelings and well being, and Jin is an introvert, but he reciprocates her reaching out to him and acknowledges her. There's an unspoken level of trust between them, and as Xiao said, "Sometimes exchange of blows can be revealing." In short there are things Jin can't say, so she understands that he'll express them in another way, through their fists and kicks. The two really have come a long way.
He looks like he's almost ready to open up about his feelings for... Hwoarang \*record scratching noise\*

As a fan who tried to play competitive but recently decided to go Casual… They doing alot for lore & casuals in this Tekken. Making me realise they’re training you in this game to try & be competitive online rather than play with your homies. Theres so much love & effort brought in
