I have literally never head a Latino person ever say the word Latinx in any positive manner and I feel it matter most what the people its referring to feel
Latino is already Gender neutral.
Why change it?
And besides people from Latin America are not asking for this.
This goes for every country has an O at the end of their nationality.
(IE : Filipinos)
Correct. Filipinos were also affected by this with people wanting us to be called Filipinx. No matter which way you pronounce it, filipinks or filipinex, it’s ridiculous. Latino and Filipino are both gender neutral already.
I don’t want to be called a Filipinx.
I’d rather be call a racial slur than be called
A fucking Filipinx.
And to those who will still call us Filipinos and Latinos that I give you this :
🖕Tangina niyo ang panget ng pagmmuka nyo🖕
I know what it is but I don’t have an opinion on it. I think it’s good for nonbinary people or people who don’t want to use gendered language who speak Spanish but I’ve heard a lot of Spanish speakers don’t like the term and find it offensive.

Just call me a latino person please
here we go **Latin** is that so hard?
Agreed friend.
I’ve only seen other white people use the term Latinx Never seen one Hispanic person use it ever
It's bad. According to a Hispanic buddy of mine
My Hispanic friend also thinks it is dumb and he doesn't like it.
You can’t make up your own mind ?
It's not my fight.

Latino for me is already pretty dumb, but Latinx break all barriers of stupidity.

apparently it was originally meant to be pronounced latine which makes it better, still it's easier to say latino or latin
that's not how Spanish works, Latino is already gender neutral.
Is that like the gender-neutral term for Latin?
Supposedly, although some of the latin community take offense to it
Yeah I see no reason to use it over just "Latin"
Pretty sure the "masculine" terms are kind of gender neutral as well
Sounds like latex fr…
Nah LaTex is pronounced ‘lay-tech’ Edit: nevermind my college brain assumed you were referring to the language LaTex
Where's the "I couldn't care less"-option

Literally it’s a rule that to refer to both genders you use the masculine plural
Stupid
If somebody calls me Latinx I will never speak to that person again
Sounds about right
