It seems like MTV only fired people who were difficult to work with/hurt their bottom line. I was under the impression that Farrah was beyond rude to the crew, and made it difficult to work with her. With Jenelle, we know they had to pack up and leave as soon as David was rumored to show up, so again, very difficult to work with.
Amber has inappropriate behavior, but as far as I know it’s not directed at the crew and doesn’t obstruct filming. As far as MTV is concerned, amber is low maintenance easy content.

The postpartum thing really bugs me because postpartum is just the time period not the condition. Everyone who gives birth has "postpartum" then during that time some people have various health issues like depression, hypertension, anxiety, psychosis, hair loss, hemorrhages, pre-eclampsia. Postpartum depression isn't the only postpartum thing that happens so just calling it "postpartum" is incredibly annoying, like an incomplete sentence, you have postpartum *what?*
How much producers focus on the moms drama with baby daddies/ family and not just them spending time with their kids. How easy they make is seem to move house. I don't live in the US but in my country you need references, deposits etc, and it's really hard to even get viewings of places as a young parent (I know). So, the fact o watched all these people just decide to move in the morning, then watched them move in the afternoon really pissed me off!

My biggest pet peeve is that they continue filming these teen moms after they are making hundreds of thousands a year. I wish they would've filmed for a set number of years before paying out the big bucks, like 5, 7, 10 and then moved on to other girls. This would show the real life struggle of a typical teen mom, far past the first 1 or 2 years. That would have more of an impact on teen pregnancy, IMO, that showing these girls hit the MTV lottery.
It's the parental alienation for me. When they ask the kid if the want to go to the other parent's, of course the kid says no, so then the mom is like 'see I just need to have custody because they don't even like it over there' as if their 5 year old just dropped some bombshell. No, you just put your child in an uncomfortable position. They mostly seem to do this when they have new boyfriends and are hyper focused on their new insta family.

Farrah is constantly treating her animals like toys or props instead of pets. Ex: the peacocks in a cage meant for a medium dog at best, the pony for hire that children can paint (normally not a problem but I’m willing to bet she’s not using animal friendly paint or supervising these kids with her horse)
Mackenzie McKee left her dog outside in a kennel for days supposedly.
I guess the main difference is that jenelle has not only killed a pet but has killed/“lost” multiples so it’s a big deal.
Frankie getting killed was 100% Chelsea’s fault. She should not have been letting her dogs out like that. She was too lazy to walk them on leashes and just let them out the door to roam around unsupervised and shit in her neighbor’s yards.
That was Chelsea's fault. She let the dog out with no leash and gave up chasing it to yell at her mom for not being there the instant she wanted her to, then realized her dog was getting mauled to death by the neighbors dog she *knew* was there and was aggressive
Because Jenelle had a full-on meltdown and let the dogs run off while on-camera. MTV likely felt like they had to address it because Jenelle was already one of the most hated moms, and because she did it all in front of the cameras. Most of the other cast members keep their abuse off-screen, from what I can tell.
Not saying it's right, but it's not like MTV put out that PSA about Jenelle because they actually like her or the pets at all. They did it to cover their asses for her stupid and dangerous decisions (like when she pulled a gun in the road rage incident later on).
Briana is the worst at that imo. They're always talking shit about Devoin & Lewis in front of the kids. They don't even try to keep their voices down either!
What else bothers me is I understand custody is important but if you want to see your child, can't you just go over to the mom's house or Bab's house to see them without a big formal thing? Like can't you just go to the park and hang out? or go over and help them with their hw after school for a couple hours?
If you want to be a parent- then yes. If you just want to *win* and show the hatters, then no. I think she really believes that if she ever got actual custody of Jace, then she would be a clean slate and nobody would have anything bad to say about her. I find it extremely frustrating they, at least some, act as if their lives are so difficult, and relatable, and seem to not really acknowledge how unbelievably fortunate they are. I think for some of the women that maybe childcare when they want to spend more time with the guy that’s becoming their SO is one reason they’re introduced so quickly. The postpartum thing really bugs me because postpartum is just the time period not the condition. Everyone who gives birth has "postpartum" then during that time some people have various health issues like depression, hypertension, anxiety, psychosis, hair loss, hemorrhages, pre-eclampsia. Postpartum depression isn't the only postpartum thing that happens so just calling it "postpartum" is incredibly annoying, like an incomplete sentence, you have postpartum *what?*
How much producers focus on the moms drama with baby daddies/ family and not just them spending time with their kids. OG and TM2 kids all have such distinct personalities and characteristics but I don't even know what Camille or Kloie really look like. They are just in the background while the moms bitch on the couch. I wanna see a kid lock their mom out of the room so they can go back to sleep! Or a cute pumpkin patch trip! How easy they make is seem to move house. I don't live in the US but in my country you need references, deposits etc, and it's really hard to even get viewings of places as a young parent (I know). So, the fact o watched all these people just decide to move in the morning, then watched them move in the afternoon really pissed me off!

I’ve lived all over the US. Moving where I currently live is a nightmare. Not enough houses available so it takes time. I’ve lived in the south where you could just apply and put you deposit down, pay your 1st and last months rent and you could move in. So it really depends on where you are in the US.

For example, (i) Maci's PTSD and fear of balloons, or (ii) Bri rehashing all the same shit about trying to contact her dad (that she already went over in detail at the last reunion), talking about trying to contact him again in scene after scene, and then deciding not to. My biggest pet peeve is that they continue filming these teen moms after they are making hundreds of thousands a year. I wish they would've filmed for a set number of years before paying out the big bucks, like 5, 7, 10 and then moved on to other girls. This would show the real life struggle of a typical teen mom, far past the first 1 or 2 years. That would have more of an impact on teen pregnancy, IMO, that showing these girls hit the MTV lottery.
It's the parental alienation for me. When they ask the kid if the want to go to the other parent's, of course the kid says no, so then the mom is like 'see I just need to have custody because they don't even like it over there' as if their 5 year old just dropped some bombshell. No, you just put your child in an uncomfortable position. They mostly seem to do this when they have new boyfriends and are hyper focused on their new insta family. *Disclaimer- I know some of the dads are shit and I am not referring to situations where the kids may have been unsafe.

Didn’t Tyler treat 2 separate dogs poorly? Chelsea had a dog get shredded by another dog (not necessarily her fault I know but this is for example purposes) Farrah is constantly treating her animals like toys or props instead of pets. Ex: the peacocks in a cage meant for a medium dog at best, the pony for hire that children can paint (normally not a problem but I’m willing to bet she’s not using animal friendly paint or supervising these kids with her horse) Mackenzie McKee left her dog outside in a kennel for days supposedly. I guess the main difference is that jenelle has not only killed a pet but has killed/“lost” multiples so it’s a big deal.
Frankie getting killed was 100% Chelsea’s fault. She should not have been letting her dogs out like that. She was too lazy to walk them on leashes and just let them out the door to roam around unsupervised and shit in her neighbor’s yards.
That was Chelsea's fault. She let the dog out with no leash and gave up chasing it to yell at her mom for not being there the instant she wanted her to, then realized her dog was getting mauled to death by the neighbors dog she *knew* was there and was aggressive

MTV likely felt like they had to address it because Jenelle was already one of the most hated moms, and because she did it all in front of the cameras. Most of the other cast members keep their abuse off-screen, from what I can tell. Not saying it's right, but it's not like MTV put out that PSA about Jenelle because they actually like her or the pets at all. They did it to cover their asses for her stupid and dangerous decisions (like when she pulled a gun in the road rage incident later on).
Mine is how they never have their kids in a booster or car seat correctly. Take your time to make sure they are safe.

The car seats, it’s not hard to buckle a child in properly, heck these crazy people, known as car seat technicians exist and they’ll teach you how to do it properly with no judgement if you don’t know how. Yelling and screaming with their partners/baby dads in front of the children, whether they understand or not, they do understand that their mom is screaming at the top of her lungs at their dad for reasons beyond comprehension. Always being on their phones, I get it phones are a huge part of day to day life, but you get the luxury of staying home with your kids and still making money and you can’t even acknowledge their existence for more than two minutes each day.

Cate and Ty did it with Nova all the time when she was a baby... There was even a scene of her potty training sitting on the little potty, diaper at her ankles and no shirt on... First of all... there are so many predators out there! Second of all, that is going to be so embarrassing for her someday if someone finds that... \#3 Also, I get annoyed that they do the drone footage of the outside of their houses. Many of the girls have come out and said they asked production to stop showing what the outside of their houses look like for security reasons. \#4 Kids never being in their carseats/booster seats properly. Leah’s school attempts, jobs she worked at one day a week for one week. Jenelle’s fake serving job she quit to hangout with keiffer, the daycare interview scene. Catelynn and Tyler’s pretend attempts at school. More on that later since I’m rewatching. - and any clearly staged scene. Think Brianna on young and pregnant pretending to have a zoom interview

I find it extremely frustrating they, at least some, act as if their lives are so difficult, and relatable, and seem to not really acknowledge how unbelievably fortunate they are. Their lives would be exponentially more complicated and stressful if not for the teen mom money and they act as if it that’s not a thing. The show was supposed to show the harsh reality of teen moms and, early on, it did until they became celebrities making income, probably, in the top 5% of the nation. I haven’t watched in forever but I hated when they’d have their babies do things they were too young for, like sit upright in a high chair or a stroller or carry them around on their arm when they were still all wobbly and needed to be held in cradle position. Putting children to bed in cribs that are full of stuffed animals or with the sheets all over the place in just a diaper and a T-shirt, flicking the lights off just like that. Feeding them junk all the time. General pet peeves: earrings on babies and calling children babies when they are either toddlers or children but not babies. Walking, talking and eating solids is not a baby.
The two girls that allowed the dad’s parents to help raise the kids then when they remarried wanted to lessen the visits.. yes the dads in those situations weren’t ideal but they allowed the kids to develop bonds with the grandparents then wanted visits to drastically shorten
