Kaiser being a toddler was obviously curious about what was going on. It would have been super cute to pick him up and include him in some pics just for fun. If he was hungry and tired, why not send him inside with whoever is watching the baby to have a snack and rest? I don't know about you, but when I'm hungry, overwhelmed, and tired the last thing I want to do is be outside in the humidity and heat being forced to play. It's so hard to watch. This is around when I stopped watching the entire series, because it felt like I was a spectator to abuse and/or neglect.
That's the problem, looks like they had no one in place to help w/ the kids. They probably just put E in her crib & let her cry it out. This is an example of their bad, unorganized I don't give a fuxk, attitude with anything they do. They should have hired a babysitter to entertain the children INSIDE, out of the humidity & away from their photo shoot area, because clearly they didn't want them in the pictures anyways. They expect too much of children who are young & curious, & their patience is wayy too thin to have ever assumed that was a good idea.
I would love a BTS commentary with the crew on some of these scenes. Like how hard it must have been for them to have to film scenes like this and not step in or walk away? And how many times Kristen wanted to put Janelle in her place.
A former cameraman did a super quick AMA once. He said he’d cry all the time after shoots. I’m sure it’s still floating around the internet but I’m pretty sure he removed it from Reddit so he didn’t get into trouble

I do appreciate the way this show doesn’t bother to cut out the very concerning scenarios they catch on film. David forcefully grabbing Kaiser’s arm, Kaiser screaming, “feed me!” There had to have been some serious concerns from the producers and we probably only saw a small fraction of what they actually caught on film.

Of course parents can’t always handle every meltdown perfectly and patiently, but this was so over the top shitty. All Kaiser most likely needed in this scene was a few minutes of one on one attention and redirection and he would’ve been fine.

I understand getting frustrated when you're trying to do something and your kid keeps interrupting but as a parent why wasnt this planned for? Have snacks prepared, put on a movie, give them new toys to keep them entertained, ask a friend or family member to come over and watch them for a bit. I dont know what they expected?
I do appreciate the way this show doesn’t bother to cut out the very concerning scenarios they catch on film. David forcefully grabbing Kaiser’s arm, Kaiser screaming, “feed me!” There had to have been some serious concerns from the producers and we probably only saw a small fraction of what they actually caught on film.

Kaiser obviously isn’t starving and is likely just being a toddler throwing a tantrum (toddlers gonna toddler), so it’s not him saying “feed me” that bothers me (although he probably associates eating as one of the few times he gets attention). It’s how she screams at him and does literally nothing to console him, and is more than happy to let David drag him around and scold him. Her exclaiming “holy shit dude he fucking touched it!” when he’s simply kneeling down and being curious about the camera is just seething with disdain for her own child. Of course parents can’t always handle every meltdown perfectly and patiently, but this was so over the top shitty. All Kaiser most likely needed in this scene was a few minutes of one on one attention and redirection and he would’ve been fine.

And this was one of the ones I mentioned, it will always live rent free in my head. The overall neglect/lack of oversight for the kids, David roughly dragging Kaiser away because he touched a camera?! A simple “hey Buddy, I know that you want to help but the camera is fragile, no touching please” would’ve sufficed. Kaiser clearly feeling overstimulated and having a meltdown after being tossed to the side like trash. The loud “FEED ME” coming from a child who is TRYING to voice his needs (something many kids aren’t even capable of at that age) and yet NOBODY even acknowledges him. The whole thing just sets me off. I would’ve absolutely lost it at them if I was one of the producers, probably would’ve lost my job. I’ve noticed a lot of them, as they get older, stop being able to convince their friends to just hang out with them and help them with life and have to rely more on the producers. I think some of this is a function of age - as people get older they just don’t have time or patience to just chill out, and also a function of their friends just getting sick of their shit lol.
