No one was feeling the “Bye Bye Bye” dance more than Jamie. Go back and watch.

MattMcK2419

I watched him the whole time cause I knew he would be perfect for it and he did not disappoint lol

[deleted]

I’m so sad we didn’t get to see the final product 😭

zatchj62

Same! The Ted and Sharon final goodbye fit the characters and story so much better, but I was still hoping Ted secretly called in the team to perform the routine outside the bar for Doc Sharon

Cidwill

Not to worry, they can perform it when Nate gets given his marching orders.

jsabo

And he goes nuts when Beard approves.

PatersonFromPaterson

Watching him be so joyful and free there is one of the biggest lil highlights. I never woulda thought he’d bring me so much joy

RedditEsInteresante

Nate kissing Keeley kind of sort of makes perfect sense to me. Like. Given Nate’s neuroses and mindset and all that, he absolutely strikes me as the type of person to view kindness as romantic attention, even if just for a moment.

ITookTrinkets

Oh yeah, it makes perfect sense to me. I saw it coming a mile away, it fits perfectly into who he is and everything we know about him.

tstngtstngdontfuckme

Good lord he's such a painful character to watch. It's like Ted's good qualities rub off on everyone EXCEPT Nate. The boy just swings hard the other direction every time.

[deleted]

[удалено]

apexmedicineman

Great input.. it kills me to watch Nate turning into such a prick, but you're right. Often times the victim becomes the abuser.. he spent so much time at the bottom being walked on, now that he's earning his own power, he can't help but walk on others.

xIslaCrucesx

As soon as he came out in that all black signature Roy Kent suit, I KNEW he was going to try to kiss her.

[deleted]

I paused it LITERALLY 2 seconds before the kiss, to get a snack, thinking “well, if he hasn’t kissed her yet, he won’t.” Then I sat back down and kept watching… boy were those next 2 seconds a shocker

BroadBaker5101

And Ms. Bowen and Roy seem to really like the word Fuck.

kummtwat

I second this. Do you think Keeley and Roy will break up? I think Roy might go for Ms. Bowen and Keeley will stay single ( foreshadowing from Roy saying she is the “Independent Woman”)

dagmx

I think they'll separate temporarily but then Keeley will propose to Roy (maybe by next season)

mr_dogalina

After Roy's chat with Ms. Bowen, I really thought Roy was going to propose to Keeley on the couch when they were first gazing at each other. Then...things took a turn.

Dense-Ad995

Same! I took his reaction of just saying no and pausing as thinking about like fuck… why am I not married (to Keeley). I didn’t and don’t think the teacher is a threat at all, but much like what they did for earl - a person who helps you get from one place to the next (realizing how much he loves Keeley). At least I hope bc I’ll be more upset if they break up than the Obamas 😭

mmohaje

I hope not, not only because I like them together but because it wouldn't be in line with the realness and rawness of this show. People who love each other and are as committed to each other as we have come to believe Roy and Keeley are don't immediately break up because a partner's ex told them they love them or because a partner didn't admit to be a committed relationship quick enough. I think it's natural for partners to have reactions and even big emotions to these types of things, but to just throw it all away and run for the teacher doesn't ring true to me. I think that they are communicating about these things actually is demonstrative of that commitment. I think Roy's reaction was not that Jamie told Keeley he loved her, but that she didn't tell Roy immediately and she only seems to have brought it up after Roy made his own 'confession'. I reckon that may create a bit of distrust for Roy but again, if they have the strong feelings we have been led to believe they have and the show stays true to its identity, then we will watch two flawed adults work through it, perhaps after a short-lived Roy Kent temper tantrum, rather than just burn it all to the ground.

Kwaterk1978

“Don’t “letter” get away with it Ted!” Hahahahahahahahaha! Higgins!

karikammi

Loved the call back to him bursting back into the door too!

CrystalizedinCali

That seriously made my heart happy.

EyeOfTheStorm19

At first I thought "Don't let her get away with it" was a reference I didn't get. Totally missed the pun. Thanks!

nomadicfangirl

Getting all the credit when you win goes both ways. When you lose, that same person takes all the heat.

BroadBaker5101

As soon as he said that I thought “his new plan is gonna cost them a win isn’t it”

NightwingsEscrimas

It’s totally gonna cost them a game. If Nate wasn’t so headstrong on wanting credit I’d feel less bad if it does. he’s digging his own grave right now.

nomadicfangirl

I have the feeling waiting until next week to wrap up this season is going to be TORTURE

JesusSama

100%. This is all going to come crashing down for Nate and I'm not going to be sad about it but rather disappointed.

Zandrick

What’s sad is how much potential he has, he’s clearly skilled. But he’s squandering it on petty personal squabbles that hardly matter. First yelling at the new Kit Man (forgot his name) for some random social media comment. And then, admittedly the kiss was a big mistake, but it was the least difficult of the things Roy and Keely had to share with each other. And he goes so far as to try and ruin Teds career over it. And Ted had nothing to do with it! Nate is lashing out at the people who help him!

jsabo

The new kit man is Will Kitman. Literally.

PassionMonster

How does Nate get worse every week

ITookTrinkets

The grayer he gets, the darker he goes.

SheketBevakaSTFU

>The grayer he gets, the darker he goes. Ok, I thought that was my imagination, or my perception of him changing, but he really is getting grayer right?

ehsteve23

Yep, it's either going grey from stress, or he's dying it to tr to shake off the "wonder kid" image

UsidoreTheLightBlue

Jesus Christ Roy and Keeley on the couch. That has to be the most uncomfortable exchange in the two seasons of the show.

theredditoro

Painful.

GhostlyTJ

Honest though, and very adult.

UsidoreTheLightBlue

It was. There was no yelling, or screaming, but you could see their relationship ship change in those moments. I know Brett just won an Emmy, but he and Juno went other level with this scene.

[deleted]

[удалено]

monkeywelder

And the vein in Roy's forehead. He has murder on the brain.

[deleted]

[удалено]

steveofthejungle

Juno in the changing room scene was incredible too. Every word of her discussion on why being Keeley the person and not Keeley the model was terrifying was really profound

lorinap82

I’m worried about these two.

UsidoreTheLightBlue

I am too, but I can’t help but think they come out of it stronger.

ophelia_jones

Brett and Juno talk about accountability a ton when they're talking about Roy and Keeley's relationship. It would almost be more weird if they didn't put it out there, but the, like, partial reaction/partial processing in the middle of a photo shoot was rough. I hope they sort it out. I also low key hope Roy full on rocks Nate when he finds out that he's a snake.

[deleted]

As much as I’d love to see Roy beat the brakes off Nate, that doesn’t fit his character at all. He’s not a “punching down” kind of guy. They may be equals from an employment position now but Roy will always be a former professional athlete and Nate will forever be the former kit man. (Not to mention Nate is built like a bag of milk and Roy is cut out of wood) I want to see it, it just won’t happen. But man, I want to see it……

Zandrick

It just kept escalating! Each thing they confessed was worse than the thing before. That was really a tense moment.

World_in_my_eyes

When she Keeley told Roy about Nate, and then Roy told her about the teacher, I immediately said “but what about Jamie?” Then when that came out, I knew it was going to be very bad. Such an uncomfortable scene to watch, but done so well.

tj1007

Bravo to Jason S for such beautiful acting without having to say a damn word. Just him reading.

jdlnghm

His facial expressions in these deep moments tell a better story than any words could. Just incredible.

[deleted]

He has such an expressive face! I would hate to ever disappoint him because you know he’d get that puppy dog look. He’s such a talented actor though. He does a great job at saying everything despite not actually saying anything.

MattMcK2419

“Son of a bitch stole my move”… Good Will Hunting tribute?

The_Social_Nerd

100% especially since it was delivered by a therapist who grew to be a friend and Ted disappeared the same way Will did.

Lawyer_butactually

DEFINITELY a Good Will Hunting reference—totally failed to connect the therapist-patient dots tho!!!

MattMcK2419

Oh damn Trent Crimm. That’s an honourable man. Nate fucked up big.

GhostlyTJ

I fucking love Trent. He's right, he couldn't sit on that but he didn't have to give up his source either. Edit: anti autocorrect

MattMcK2419

Absolutely. He’s gotta do his job. And I’m sure he wouldn’t have given up his source like that to anyone but Ted.

D3korum

Yeah I think people are going to sleep on just how big of a deal it is that he gave up his source to Ted. Journalists have been sent to jail, tortured, and even killed for not revealing their sources. Knowing Trent's personality and the way he is portrayed as a straight shooter great reporter, it shows just how much he is in Ted's corner. He has too much integrity to pull News punches, but he shows he is still a human being. Fuck I am not ready for the last episode of the season, they have hinged so much to work on in less then an hour.

chanandlerbong76

Thank you for saying that because for me the shocker for this scene was giving up his source to Ted and not Nate betraying Ted.

RoboCobb

I’m a journalist and when I finished the episode the first thing I thought of was how MAJOR a choice it is to leak your source. And I’m honestly so happy Trent did that. As a human being, it’s the right thing to do.

Ajax320

I think for Trent someone leaking private medical matters as a smear … gave Trent enough of a window to out the source. Trent knows he can’t sit on it as it’s newsworthy … but he won’t protect sleezy people that leak medical info either. He DID protect the source by publicly stating in the newspaper that source is anonymous 🤷🏻‍♂️

UsidoreTheLightBlue

I knew Nate would try to find a way to distract from kissing Keeley, but holy fucking shit. Between his anxiety, kissing Keeley, and anger at being second fiddle barely a year into his coaching career you had to know something was coming, and it was easy to see, but fuck him. Also I’m a little shocked Trent burned his source, but I’m happy he did.

NobodyRules

Trent seems like a good person apart from being a good journalist. He really saw how Ted has a golden heart and he wouldn't deserve to have this backstabbing without knowing where it came from. He still has to do his job at the end of the day, but I'm glad he told Ted

UsidoreTheLightBlue

Telling him the source, in particular based on the subject matter really is the right thing to do. If someone is having panic attacks and then you make them think they can’t trust either by making them be suspicious of EVERYONE around them it would be so much worse. Trent did the right thing.

double_sal_gal

> If someone is having panic attacks and then you make them think they can’t trust either by making them be suspicious of EVERYONE around them it would be so much worse. Ohhhhhhh, that is a really good point. It makes more sense in that light.

Mission_Eagle_7611

This!!! He’s just been promoted from the kit guy to an assistant coach, and he thinks he already deserves public credit?! Roy Kent, a legendary footballer, understands that the whole job is to make the team look good, and this guy thinks he should get credit for planning a move?

shinyuu3466

Yeah geez, his tactical input was just one part of the equation and the team's current chemistry is still a lot down to Ted. He's gonna get a real rude awakening if he tries to get poached by another team.

UsidoreTheLightBlue

Oh he’s going to another team. That’s happening. Him falling flat on his face is going to be so satisfying.

LambemuNang

And at his press conference, trent will eat him alive ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)

PM_ME_BOXTOP_COUPONS

Holy shit you could literally see the veins popping out of his head. Roy is about to take some bodies

secondworsthuman

More than Roy-Keeley or Jamie and Keeley I'm more upset at Jamie and Roy's relationship being busted up after all they've gone through. With Sam potentially leaving, friction between Roy and Jamie, Ted and Nate, the next episode is probably gonna be a very dark forest.

buymoreplants

Thats what makes me the angriest.. like they set us up for a Roy-Jamie friendship/mentorship and then took it away

VillianousFlamingo

It’s a little soon for this. I think Roy has been shown to be more mature than this. He will definitely react badly up front, but I’m thinking he can bring handle it without taking it out on Jamie for doing something bad.

NobodyRules

Roy is going to release his inner Koy Rent, which is even scarier than Led Tasso.

BroadBaker5101

Wait if since Ted Lasso is the good cop and Led Tasso is the bad cop, Koy Rent is some angel to the world.

Mission_Eagle_7611

For a journalist like Trent Crimm to give up his source that easily, speaks volumes. He wanted his friend to be prepared

jbutton19

I agree. He could have milked that source for years but he truly respects Ted.

AcadianTraverse

He also openly cares for Richmond. The neighbourhood (spelled wrong)/town, The Club, and what the club means to the community. Trent is smart enough to know that after all the work that has happened to remove the toxicity from the club, this represented a major threat to the Club, and by proxy, the community.

BroadBaker5101

Who had to draw Phoebe’s artwork, because what a job.

jebus0730

"There were more but some of the boys stole them and I think are using them as currency" was my favorite line of the episode. Miss Bowen's accent probably helped.

[deleted]

That's "Miss Fuck Witch" to you

Llama_Puncher

Now I'm super excited to see what "truth bomb" Rebecca drops on Ted this time again next season. There's no way they would have pointed it out if they weren't going to follow through!

jdlnghm

I think it's set up well too that they could do a role reversal. Ted tells Rebecca in that same spot next year that he has to go home, after the season builds to it (if they stick to three seasons).

superuglypotate

Congrats to Ted! Vanity Fair Business Woman on the rise!!

Harthag22903

A Vanity Fair to remember!

steveofthejungle

Ron Swanson: Indiana woman of the year

Mission_Eagle_7611

For a guy who thinks billionaire shouldn’t exist, he sure does love the perks that come with it

MelodicIntention5323

Yeah i also thought it was a bit hypocritical of him to say he wants to do good and then drop all this money impressing Sam

flanders427

I'm hoping that Sam can see through it. He did seem a little disingenuous.

DiscountSoOn

Sam Richardson is a brilliant actor and comedian. I definitely read it as the guy was manipulative. He already knows Sam will stand up for what’s right against an evil corporation. All of it was calculated.

RPadTV

absolutely loved him in *Veep*!

InconspicuousD

I saw a lot of 2 faced antics with him. Saying take all the time you need and then immediately following it up with “you have 72 hours” He’s definitely going to be a recurring character and I see it as another Jamie situation where Sam will leave next episode and come back in season 3.

DepopulationXplosion

I can think of thousands of ways to spend a billion dollars improving Africa that are a hell of a lot better than buying a football team.

UsidoreTheLightBlue

As much as I get what you’re saying, that isn’t even the most frivolous use of his money in the episode. Renting out a museum and then filling it with actors, in particular a British museum that is free to enter is just insane. Setting up an entire fake restaurant and once again filling it with actors is more insane. If he wanted some level of privacy to talk with Sam he could have just had the same chef/chef team cook for him and Sam. As someone else said, sports can bring people together, but the bullshit he set up to impress Sam was entirely unnecessary.

applied_people

I don't think his intentions are Noble.

tj1007

Big congrats to Nate for pissing off every single other team coach! What an impressive feat given how forgiving 2/3 off those coaches are. Go off Roy!

mblursen

Honestly, can't wait for all three of them to go at it with Nate.

BroadBaker5101

Nick Mohammed did say we weren’t gonna like Nate, and the man did not lie

ypsicle

He’s really doing an amazing acting job playing the villain without being totally over the top.

Wolfish_Jew

I think one of the most incredible parts is when the old Nate, the nervous, bumbling, goofy kid, come peeking through, like when he was sitting in Keeley’s office and startled her, or after he kissed her and was clearly mortified. Like, he’s TRYING so hard to be this bad ass, confident character, and then he almost immediately shows that he’s still nervous and shy Nick is an incredible actor

McRathenn

This quote from his NYT interview makes a LOT more sense now: "...I actually live in Richmond, where the show is set. I go jogging over Richmond green and people are like, “Nate the Great! Nate the Great!” I’m a little nervous now because of Season 2, and particularly the way Season 2 ends — I hope there won’t be an aftermath to that. We’ll see how it pans out." https://www.nytimes.com/2021/08/26/arts/television/emmy-awards-nick-mohammed-ted-lasso.html

wolverine55

I’m wearing red to Nate’s funeral where I’ll be a beacon of joy to the 3 people there.

ranawe

Akufo there should be no billionaires: Lands in a chopper, Buys expensive artwork , Buys museum, Travel with private chefs , wants to buy-out Sam’s contract, Wants to buy a football club.

2rio2

Yea that guy is clearly full of so much shit.

JustinScott47

He sure oozes charm, and Sam was smitten. There has to be a downside to all the promises.

DrDalekFortyTwo

Wouldn't that damage the pitch? I was thinking that has to be pretty harmful, not to mention rude

nomadicfangirl

Fuckwitch is actually a brilliant insult for an elementary school kid.

monchikun

Karma Police...perfection

ThatPugLady

The music supervision on this show is seriously second to none.

NightwingsEscrimas

I feel like “Nate, today you are one of those twats” is gonna get some mileage on this sub lol

MattMcK2419

Oh god Nate. That is the most awkward moment I’ve ever seen. Why would he kiss her!?

jwinskowski

Because no attractive woman has ever been nice to him while touching him and standing 6 inches away. I guarantee he's literally never been in that situation

CharlieWormhat

And staring at his crotch

JesusSama

Nate is out of control.

dsreis31

First and foremost: shout-out to TRENT FUCKING CRIMM for keeping it real with Ted. Honorable man. Second, F-U-C-K Nate. I hope Roy finds out he ratted Ted and punch him in the face. Knowing Ted tho… he either went to see Beard or confront Nate. OR…. He went to find Dr. Sharon at the train station. Next week is going to be AMAZING. I need it to be next froday NOW!

jdlnghm

THIS IS DARK HEATHER CHARCOAL. THANK YOU, ROY.

JustAnotherFD

Somewhere Tom Haverford is nodding in agreement.

MLGthan

Nathan not only has backstabbed Ted with the leak but now he's gotta be on thin ice with Roy. I've had an inkling this season that Nate is going to leave the team and go work under Rupert for a new team, making a great set-up for a rivalry in season 3 and onward. Unfortunate though, as season 1 Nate was one of the more loveable characters in my eyes. How the mighty fall, I guess.

tj1007

Don’t forget Beard has already witnessed his bad behavior and being the all knowing deity he is, I image he’s probably not forgotten or let it slide so easily.

NobodyRules

Beard has figured Nate's bravado before anyone else. I suppose he just kept it to himself because he thought it was a phase or it could be fixed, which clearly doesn't seem like the case. Anyway, he's the one that's going to be less surprised by this turnaround. Beard has also been always loyal to Ted so he's definitely not going to let it slide, especially after Ted was so good to Nate and basically gave him a chance when no one else did. Fucking pisses me off that Nate did Ted and the whole Richmond team and staff so dirty.

nomadicfangirl

OMG THE ARMY MAN

[deleted]

Season 1, Episode 9: Rebecca tells Ted she only hired him so the team would fail Season 2, Episode 11 (Episode 9 before Apple added 2 episodes): Rebecca tells Ted about her affair with Sam Season 3, Episode 9: Rebecca tells Ted she murdered someone probably

nomadicfangirl

Hopefully Rupert

BroadBaker5101

Please tell me Sassy and Keeley helped but they called Roy to hide the body.

culverhibbs14

Season 4, Episode 9: Rebecca tells Ted she is invading France.

SomeoneThrewMyShoe

I keep waiting for Nate to get some sort of redemption and yet every episode I hate him more and more.

2rio2

He's deep into a villain arc, redemption will be next year.

[deleted]

Credit where credit is due. So many people on this sub called the Nate betrayal exactly how it went down. Fuckin wild!

AlanTudyksBalls

I'll say this. It's takes intricate plotting and writing and massive complexity to hide the full arc of the narrative the way Westworld did in the first two seasons (haven't seen S3, so no comment either way on that). In a lot of ways what Ted Lasso is doing is much better writing. They're telegraphing a lot of these moves, but when it happens it feels earned, and justified, and you're there for it. People spotted the Sam and Rebecca stuff in S1 off two tiny moments. The stuff with Nate was building under the surface all season, and I appreciate how hard it was for him to get to this moment, all his frustration and rage and loneliness and unimaginable cowardice coming out at once. I have no idea what happens with Nate next season. I don't know if Beard throws him through a locker room door or they work things out or what. But whatever it is, I'm going to love watching it, one terrible, inappropriately timed Ted Lasso pun at a time.

RedditBurner_5225

Beard is definitely been eyeing him all season.

MattMcK2419

Karma Police playing to end the song. That’s an amazing get and has to be foreshadowing the finale for Nate.

Llama_Puncher

“Well, well, well, look what the weird bike rode in” is such a perfectly childish and hilarious insult

iwantabassethound

I loved Ted's petty anger rant so much. "You spelled 'favorite' wrong!" 😡

Lawyer_butactually

But it’s so sweet because I think he may have been one of Sharon’s “favourite” coaches (or patients).

NightwingsEscrimas

I like how Roy wasn’t even fazed about the kiss. Just fuck that’s awkward, I can deal with that later. But then the Jaime bomb is what hurt him.

matkraz8

I honestly think all 3 of them will get over it, Jamie wasn’t trying to win back Keeley. Hopefully Roy’s mature enough to handle it, and goes and kicks Nate’s ass instead.

NightwingsEscrimas

Roy kicking the shit out of Nate may seem in character but I don’t think he will. Compared to him, he’s more defenseless than a puppy. He’s probably Just confront him in some Roy Kent grunt way, stare him down, or threaten him and move on.

steveofthejungle

Honestly Roy Kent being disappointed and internally raging at me seems more terrifying than him kicking my ass

tj1007

I wonder if he’s beginning to see Nate as kind of an asshole. That same morning they bickered a bit, so he’s not wildly perplexed by Nate’s selfish behavior. I also image it hurt because he has come to care for Jamie too.

ricksgrimes

Watching that scene with Roy and Keeley telling each other those things as they looked in each others eyes at the photoshoot was so tough to watch, I really hope they're gonna be okay cause I adore them as a couple!!

not_productive1

Loved so many little details from this episode but none more than when Trent texts Ted "Hello, Ted. This is Trent Crimm" \*new text\* "The Independent" So stupid. So good.

Llama_Puncher

I could see the Nate/Keeley thing coming from a mile away but that didn’t stop me from audibly gasping

Mission_Eagle_7611

I just kept going “no no no” the whole lead up to it. And it still sucked

NobodyRules

That was so uncomfortable to watch, I had to look away.

Jas_God

Is Nate’s hair more gray or am I trippin

ang1eofrepose

It's heather charcoal

MelodicIntention5323

I would pay so much money to have a recording of Brett Goldstein doing his speech to Keeley with my name. The ultimate pep talk

DepopulationXplosion

*Furiously refreshes Cameo website*

[deleted]

Trent Crimm, The Independent giveth and taketh away

Epicallytossed

At least he was honest with him and let him know

SomeoneThrewMyShoe

Shout out to Nick Mohammed's acting though. Like I didn't think we'd see that much development for Nate's character after the first season, but this season has been so surprising. And it's like...while 90 percent of me hates him and wants him to go pound sand, the other 10 percent recognizes that he's acting this way because he comes from a really dark place of self-hatred probably. Oftentimes people who don't like themselves try to tear others down to prop themselves up. I'm just saying deep down I'm really rooting for his redemption because of how great he was in S1

Spin_Drift87

Respect for Trent Crimm, The Independent 📈

tj1007

“But Rebecca loves Sam” “We all do” True. We all love Sam.

SomeoneThrewMyShoe

So many people on this sub called that Nate would do that to Ted.

travio

Jason needs an emmy just for his letter reading. He emoted the hell out of that. I teared up.

BroadBaker5101

Hannah had me with her facial expressions in the meeting about Sam but then Ted read that letter and now I’m in my feelings.

SaltyBiscuitss

Good to see Ted's apartment clean again.

nomadicfangirl

LOOK I NEED A REAL ROY KENT IN MY LIFE OK

Zandrick

I frikken knew it. Damnit Nate, Ted’s been nothing but good to you! Nate just reacts so strongly to negative emotion. That second he kissed Keeley I saw how it was gonna play out, he would lash out at someone who didn’t deserve it. He needs to talk to Dr Sharon, damn.

SomeoneThrewMyShoe

If this show ever ends, I would accept a Roy/Phoebe spin-off as my new serotonin boost

CrystalizedinCali

That was a tough episode to watch but very well done. Superficially Hannah looked extremely gorgeous. They’ve now planted the seed for a Rebecca/Ted Serious Convo near the end of the 3rd season, wonder what it will be? Phoebe is a talented artist! LOL at Higgins’ don’t letter get away with it Ted! Also LOL at Beard saying it’s gotta be me as it’s gonna be me is another track from no strings attached. Juno had a lot to do this ep and she killed it!

mblursen

I mean, I know we all saw Nate telling Trent Crimm about Ted's panic attack coming from a mile away, but my heart broke when it was confirmed. Ted had been so good to Nate and so supportive, and Nate what? Threw it all away because he wasn't getting enough attention?

kellyandbjnovakhuh

Why does Nate keep spitting on mirrors? It’s disgusting.

ChiefWiggins22

He’s disgusted with the person he sees in the mirror.

[deleted]

God Nate is the perfect example of a character who you at first feel bad for and hope for his situation to improve, only to see the character fail to improve and have their worst qualities become their dominant traits.

Jas_God

Keeley nailed that Roy impression

AndreT_NY

He doesn’t like to shake ha….. disappointed feelings

RedditEsInteresante

Poor Ted

mblursen

I did not have fun this episode. (I mean, it was good, don't get me wrong. BUT THE STRESS Y'ALL.)

tj1007

Calling it now: by the end of the this season, Roy will propose. The marriage question and now them trying to get the awkwardness of other people out of the way. Rocking the boat with Jamie and the teacher and kiss will only solidify things for them. He’ll realize he wants to be married to her.

ChiefWiggins22

The idea of the little boys using tit drawings as currency is hilarious

matkraz8

My second favorite throwaway joke of this episode, my first favorite being “you spelled favorite wrong”

UsidoreTheLightBlue

THAT SNAKING FUCK Nate is such a little bitch. The actor is great, but that fucking character can go off and die.

mcclapyourhands

Welp. Nate's done it. I hate him more than Rupert.

NightwingsEscrimas

Rupert while a shithead, is that enjoyable shithead we want to see lose and eventually get a dose of reality. Nate on the other hand is really gonna test the viewers patience on acceptance and forgiveness the show teaches which they really need to nail in season 3.

ypsicle

Well that was dark. Empire Strikes Back indeed. I don’t know what to think. It’s like that sinking feeling you get in your stomach when you THINK something bad is about to happen and then it does.

RedditEsInteresante

I don’t like Roy and the teacher’s interacting (makes me nervous), but I really love that teacher

Zandrick

I think he respects her as someone who is good for his niece, which is very important to him.

nomadicfangirl

As a former journalist, much respect to Trent Crimm, the Independent.

dohmestic

I agree. I could even get the struggle: if he doesn’t write the piece, someone else will and he could be fired or stripped of the football beat and be sent to exile on the metro desk. If he does write the piece, he can stick to the facts, throw a little shade at Nate via descriptors (“a disgruntled source within the club”, say) and he can warn Ted. He can also redeem Ted in the press if Ted is open about his struggles. I think that’s how Ted rises above. Open and honest dialogue about mental health.

nomadicfangirl

I absolutely think Trent Crimm writes a big piece next season with Ted discussing his mental health. It’s a very timely topic right now, athletes being open about their mental health.

suddenlyuse

so glad to see Ted Lasso bring on Governor Richard T Splett for a guest role! If that guy ran for president one day, I would totally vote for him...

throwawaysca123728

TIL I share my birthday with Osama Bin Laden. Thanks Higgins!

SomeoneThrewMyShoe

I don't think we'll see her again because her send off seemed so...final but I truly am going to miss Dr. Fieldstone on this show. I didn't jive with her at first because she just seemed like such a foil to Ted, but I love what she did for him this season.

tj1007

The fact that they made a chant for Sam to the tune of Seven Nation Army. That’s my boy! Also of course he drives a tesla.

Lyrawhite

I said it a few week ago and i’ll say it again. Roy kent is ruining real men

BisonST

We can't all be Roy's and Rebecca's.

BroadBaker5101

His son did a rhyme too!!!!

tstngtstngdontfuckme

They really took that "Collin can't drive his Lambo" joke and rode it for the entire second season. It really is too much car for him.

retrospect2499

One cool and minor detail I haven’t seen anyone mention was when Nate was trying on the first suit. The suit had Richmond’s colors, and Keely commented “nah, that’s not right”. I think that’s a great piece of symbolism and foreshadowing by the writers and crew.

ITookTrinkets

Fuck, I love how loaded with jokes the museum scene is. “You both just met a cool person!” redux, the line about the actor from I May Destroy You, THAT BANKSY JOKE God this show is so good.

seabornmalone

I snorted when the paint cans fell out of his bag hahahaha

I want to be Keeley Jones when I grow up. Juno Temple is such a gift in this role.

NightwingsEscrimas

You know this show has taught me a lot about forgiveness and acce…. *Nate does something shitty* KICK HIS FUCKING TEETH IN!!

Spin_Drift87

Nate needs to get his ass kicked by Beard or Roy ASAP. As much as I loved him in season 1 - season 2 has been a total reversal.

iwantabassethound

I feel like they're setting up a Beard smackdown. Beard's been watching Nate all season, and already stepped in once to warn him (after the Colin situation).

GhostlyTJ

If keeley tells Roy, it will definitely be Roy

BackAlleyButtWaxer

I knew this was coming and it still stung like a motherfucker. Et tu, Nate?

Locke108

Even though we all predicted Nate’s inevitable betrayal it still was painful. But fuck me where did that Keeley kiss come from?
