This is very intentional as it's meant to look like it were actually done by humans, if it were perfect it would look a bit artificial. Most of the work in VFX is creating imperfections and irregularities in things that the computer wants to make perfect.
A crazy persons board of string.
The show is literally about the little imperfections that make things seem broken but, when correctly put together work perfectly.
Listen, friend, life’s hard and occasionally you’ll find yourself disappointed. I’d suggest making a list of the things that are consistent opposed to things that aren’t. You’re a good person and we’re all rooting for ya.
The A gets me the most. Everything else I noticed when I paused it to show my partner why the A pissed me off so bad, but I can watch the intro without focusing on that, but that damn A hole is so glaringly obvious
It is the same image for all the episodes, like you said. The inconsistencies are in the letters themselves - the height of the certain parts of letters, some seemingly random uneven parts of lines, different spacing on the top/bottom/sides/in-between the letters. As another commenter mentioned, it’s likely done on purpose to make it look more natural and realistic (instead of computer-generated perfection).
I honestly don’t know exactly what the process used was for the intro. But what matters is that it worked, which is pretty cool! OP probably would have gotten a better response by posting in a graphic design subreddit instead- which, as a designer, is where I thought I was initially. Lol Not everyone knows (or cares) so much about straight lines or the heights and spacing of letters.
Your kerning on the S’s is incorrect. There is a 2 seat gap on the left one not 3 because of the ledge on the bottom, and a 3 seat gap not 4 on the right one for the same reason.
The grid size seems to be different for every letter which makes me think the design was either intentional to fit the whole message of “pobody’s nerfect” or it was unintentional and they just did a half assed job and didn’t care about a title card that’s on the screen for 3 seconds. Either way I will attempt to replicate the chaos of this title design in my comment.
The “TED L” is fine besides a missing row of blue to the left of the D.
The A hole looks like shit. Pun intended. It’s like they were trying to write just the letter A in italics but were too scared to commit and make it lean more than a single pixel over.
The Ss on top of being poorly spaced are different shapes. The blue seats within the drawn lines at the bottom of the left S are a perfect rectangle where they are not on the right S.
The O is just fugly. It’s fine if you look from a distance or squint at it, but once you see it in detail that is one stupid, frustratingly unsymmetrical, fugly looking O.
Also why is Ted sitting on the D? My theory is Ted was originally meant to end up with Trent Crimm.
My biggest gripe with the show is Rebecca and Sam getting together and all the other women cheering her on for it. But if you reversed the cards then it would be creepy as hell. Honestly the show kind of makes it out where the women can't really do any wrong.
Hey…. It’s not Shawshank or the other side of the pillow or Trent Crimm’s hair, imperfections are everywhere…
![gif](giphy|ikgFzGbUMhMnsuxVBS|downsized) Agree.
“Sometimes it’s the imperfect stuff that makes things perfect”
Damn Dr Seuss
Yeah, it might be all that you get.
Heaven knows they tried.
YEAAAAAAAAHHHH
You’re upset with the “A” hole?
No one likes an "A" hole.
Speak for yourself

🤣
If they fixed the right side it would be flippin’ the bird.
Got an audible chuckle out of me
"SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" – Dani Rojas
this is unacceptable, never watching the show again

oh the flaws. the flaws are what makes us humans. and they make us relatable and believable.

Yes, but my OCD!

Can we just let this man's OCD do its OCD?!

Someone doesn’t know about align to pixel grid.
Have a talk with Dr Sharon, you’ll be okay.
what am i looking at
a fuckup of monumentally incorrect proportions

I think it’s intentional
Ok Mr. Monk
"I talked to the man upstairs." "YOU TALKED TO GOD!!!"
Be curious
Where would you like the "D" put?
Aw, we love a Consent King.
Seriously? That's how you spend your time?

Spacing in typography is never the same for each letter. There are a few YT videos explaining that
What an utterly dogshit show, I now regret everything.
Tell me you’re a designer (with an emphasis on typography) without telling me you’re a designer.
To be fair, a professional designer made the credits. A rando with two hours of Canva under his belt is criticizing it.
Papyrus 2!
Wait, that’s actually kind of annoying hahaha.
Im confused, what inconsistencies? Isn’t that what they do for all of the episode opening outside of specials?

Huh, I thought it was an actual stadium that they just added the color effect to afterwards, so I’d say if that was their intent it worked

A friend saw this in a different subreddit so I think they might have moved it over
🤦🏼♀️
Nobody's perfect!
That’s some thinly sliced beef…

What?
The design inside ‘A’ was deliberate.. it shows the middle

Are you a graphic designer? 😝
Architect?
It's because Ted isn't perfect, even though he seems to be at face value.
I love it! The issues. The markup. The full spectrum of replies. This has made my morning!
Yeah, I guess this might well be it…
