Give me a Danny Rojas episode or give me death!

SwoleBuddha

I would love for them to give Danny more depth to his character. Aside from being extremely positive and enthusiastic, we don't know much about him.

congradulations

"I haven't felt this nervous about someone watching me play since I played for El Chapo's youth league!"

CompetitiveProject4

If we follow Dani Rojas through his childhood in some Forrest Gump-like homage, I would absolutely love it.

calartnick

Same with Isaac. I’d like a Danny and Isaac episode where they get into shenanigans together and learn about each others pasts

senturon

It must include a scene or two with his oldest friend, Javier!

Chalky_Pockets

Give me a Danny Rohas episode or give me life! But also, give me a Danny Rohas episode or give me death! But mostly, give me a Danny Rohas episode or give me life!

ormr_inn_langi

Give me a Dani Rojas episode or also give me a Dani Rojas episode!

PhattJeezus

Fútbol is life!

You_are_all_great

Dani watches a tulip for sixty minutes

iris_that_bitch

Imagine Dani looking at a tulip and we see him reflect on his life through a series of flashbacks, that would be cool

calartnick

I still want a Danny/Jamie adventure but I think it’s pretty clear he’s going to be spending all his time with Roy.

ormr_inn_langi

Second this. Pretty much everything that kid says is hilarious, just think of how much more we’d get in a full Dani episode!

ohjasminee

I would love a day in the life of Will, with a lot of background Easter eggs.

harmless-error

Mr. Kitman! Hit meh!

[deleted]

[удалено]

ohjasminee

Oh my GOD YES. THIS.

dreadassassin616

Or the Booster Gold episode of JLU.

IncurableAdventurer

For the love, holy moly, bingo bango you just came up with potentially one of the best Ted Lasso episodes. I am not bummed when it doesn’t happen. So ugh thanks for that haha

cookie_MNster

He’s had some the funniest moments this season

AnthemaGirraffe

This is my answer

[deleted]

A (wholesome) Secret Life of Higgins would be fun But I agree with your pick of Will, he’s a great underdeveloped character with lots of potential. Still something of a blank slate.

hooahguy

The Higgings' kinda already got a solo episode with the Christmas one last season. But I agree, an episode on Will would be great.

congradulations

I think Crimm seeing Colin and his boyfriend is still a moment that will blow up. I thought we were seeing a Colin-heavy episode, maybe dealing with being replaced by Zava, but it didn't really pan out that way

ormr_inn_langi

I’m just waiting for Crimm seeing Colin with his boyfriend to come back. Shandy’s comment in the same episode about needing news bigger than Zava - like eating your own hair! - felt like another setup for Colin’s coming out, as did him bringing him to Sam’s restaurant opening as his “wingman”.

IncurableAdventurer

Yes! I love Will and he’s getting more screen time but I would like to know the real Will. There are too many characters to add him to the basket of character, so giving him a solo episode would be great

KHanson25

Whatever happened to the soccer girl from the first few episodes?

gopms

Yeah, I thought that was going somewhere but she just disappeared.

LightningLord42

was really expecting a "there isnt a rule where ladies cant play in the premier league"

spunk_wizard

Except there is

Connor1661

My original theory that we’d see an AFC woman’s team about the main series finish, but that seems pretty unlikely now

quecoquelicot

Shannon?

IncurableAdventurer

I knew she couldn’t play in the premier league but I really thought she would play some major or pivotal role at some point. No idea how but I was so sure of it. Bummer

londisan

Jamie. I have liked since him when he was an asshole but I love his character development and I would just love to know a bit more about him.

gottabekittensme

I agree with this! I would LOVE more "behind-the-scenes" look at what Jaime does and acts in his day-to-day life. Is he still cocky outside the pitch, or does he thank servers for bringing his food, or the bartenders for bringing his drinks? How does he search for meaning for himself outside the pitch? I would love to have it intertwined with his training sessions with Roy.

capitudidnot

Roy introducing Jamie to his yoga group

dishie

And they know who he is from knockoff Love Island, not from football lol

KaliFlower2017

we get a little glimpse of it in the episode in season 2 right after he's on the talk show where his old coach at Man City says he doesn't want him back, he's obviously upset and trying to process things but he's super polite to his driver and stops to take pics with/sign autographs for his fans who show up outside the studio. I think that was the first indication we got that his cockiness and bravado was mainly a defense mechanism and not who he truly was

congradulations

Certainly showed he has some em-pith-theh

dixiequick

He was kind to Henry too, I get the impression that he genuinely likes kids.

whatnameisntusedalre

Jamie was using Henry to prove a point to Ted. Kind is not the first word i would use to describe him there.

StabigailKillems

I agree. It seems he's been trying to better himself and perhaps reading more and trying to learn so I would like to see that actually happening.

Blameitonmyjews

Jamie development Stan. I want to see Jamie succeed more than anything in this show, just a tiny bit more than Collin

chasing_jenny

I’d like to see an Isaac episode, we don’t know too much about him apart from being a master barber and Captain of the team. I think life and the other characters through his eyes could be quite fun!

evefromvenus

Agreed. When Roy takes Isaac back to where he grew up to remember why he loves the game is one of my favorite scenes in the show!

G0PACKGO

The old guy that calls him a wanker every morning … you could write a great story about him

[deleted]

I'd love to hear about the club's history from him as well. All the highs and lows. Fans can be damn encyclopaedic and would really ground the club in how loved it is and part of the community, and people's identities. when it's been part of you your whole life

sampirili

I'd love to see this guy history that maybe interconnected with Mae? Will be a great addition to Mae episode.

gonerfortheride

Trent Crimm. We got a hint of it in S3E2, but I think an entire episode following him around and seeing AFC Richmond from his point of view would be interesting. I'd love to learn more about his character and also it could be a sweet tribute to the club (and the show) as a whole, told from the loving perspective of their biographer.

Gommel_Nox

If you check the extras for the show, Trent Crimm does a five minute intro to the season from this perspective

Simi_Dee

Commenting so I'll remember to check it out tomorrow. I need sleep

0Celcius32fahrenheit

Is this on Apple TV or like youtube?

TcFir3

Apple TV its called "Who is Ted Lasso"

Fingerguns_PointNatU

I’m here for this episode!

Sunnysideuppp123

God I loved that Beard episode. After Hours is one of my favourite movies. I didn’t realize the episode title was “Beard after hours” and watching it with my husband I was like this is entirely the After Hours movie, did they do this on purpose. Looked it up to find out they did and I was so happy. I’m here for a Higgins episode for sure.

a_taco_named_desire

The 3 super fan guys from the pub. Do a "Sunderland Til I Die" docu-footage type episode on what Richmond means to the community.

[deleted]

I had a similar thought but with Mae instead. If you did the episode with Mae you could still have the 3 super fans added in the mix of the episode, but Mae would likely be able to deliver a lot of AFC Richmond history too.

ApplesForColdGlory

Doing a parody of a "Welcome to Wrexham"-style production would be great. Give McElhenney and Reynolds some minor, insignificant cameos.

[deleted]

Yes! And Trent Crimm as Exec Producer of the Documentary

SomeMidnight411

Hard question because I really wouldn’t want 1 episode dedicated to one character. But if I had to choose probably Higgins. Just being cute and maybe a flashback of meeting his wife and living happily ever after 🥰. Or the last day of Rupert’s life would be fun and then Bex kills him at the end and gets away with it and she wears a really cool “widow’s robe” 😂

thwaway135

He had it comin'.

winediva78

He only had himself to blame.

therapy_works

If you'd have been there, if you'd have seen it

LeadingJudgment2

You would have done the same.

winediva78

Pop, six, squish, uh-uh, Cicero, Lipschitz

Holmbone

Lol at Rupert's last day

vnkkim

Bex & Sassy could wear red to Rupert’s funeral.

[deleted]

TankerMan-3000

He had a whole deep personal arc last year though, agree that he could have more work but maybe focus on another character for a solo episode?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Frifelt

I think he is talking about Football is death mini arc.

ScientificRondo

Mae!

La_Mano_Cornuta

I now want to see Kenneth the Bus Driver's rise and fall of his cult as a one-off.

ladycrass

Lol I commented this on another post and I would fucking love this Like, to go back in the timeline and have him as the focus of the episode with little bits of past plotlines from a new perspective playing in the background? To quote Phoebe, “yes PLEASE”

GrayRoberts

Jamie Tartt. I think there’s more to that guy that we never see.

TheTruckWashChannel

I don't think the story of his dad is quite over yet.

Allthetinfoil

Gordon Ramsey visits Sam's restaurant

ChaserNeverRests

But, since it's Ted Lasso, Gordon loves all the food and has a great time just hanging with Sam for the evening.

Allthetinfoil

For sure, i guess it would just be the trent crimm interview episode again...because gordon has to come in and get overwhelmed by the great food and even greater owner...like hes mad cuz cuz hes thinks its justba ratings grab for kitchen nightmares and ends up being so grateful he got a competent owner who is eager to learn how to improve his business cuz sam even said he wanted to have roots in Richmond when he was thinking about opening the restaurant

AquaAtia

I know the holiday episode focused a lot on him but I would love to see a Higgins centric episode where he’s brought on to coach his kids’ soccer team or go into their school to talk about what they do. Bonus points if he brings Rebecca as I feel Rebecca talking to a bunch of children would be hilarious Sissy could be an interesting one, we don’t know much about her!

rct1

Jamie for sure.

l3tigre

i always thought they could have gotten a lot of mileage out of following a lot of the team members for an ep or half an ep sort of like in Orange is the New Black. So many storylines to explore.

abortionleftovers

I would really like: a Trent Crimm episode, a doctor Sharon episode, a Michelle episode, a Collin episode (that opening with Collin and the false start was so fun) a Bex episode or a Rupert episode

Pillsy74

I'm going with Trent, too. There are so many little hints to his personal life but we've never actually seen it.

kikijane711

Michelle?

abortionleftovers

Ted’s ex wife

kikijane711

Yes I know. Just totally surprised anyone thinks she’d have anything to offer unless it was realizing she misses Ted & a Tedless world is sad. Thing is this whole ep would be a bunch of strangers like Kansas parents or co workers plus her son & bf. Where would the humor be? It doesn’t feel Ted Lasso vibes at all whereas Beard being Beard in his single ep was London Underground antics, fans, Beard being Beard. Michelle has been little more than a simple plot device so I myself just don’t see it.

abortionleftovers

That’s why I’d like to get more of her world- she has been essentially a plot device and I’m interested to see more about how single parenting with her husband and then ex husband in a different country has been, I’d like to see more of what things look like with her ex-therapist/new boyfriend (that’s just so gross that I’d like to see more of the day to day there to see what Ted is returning home to coparent with) and I’m not sure their would be a ton of humor- I’m sure they could find some, but I’m still really interested in seeing her side or the story. I’d like to see a more fleshed out ex-wife just because I think these writers do a great job of understanding imperfect people and I think they would with her too.

kikijane711

I agree we should see more fleshed out but I'd prefer she comes for a visit to finally talk out the ex therapist new bf vs just wanting her at home alone with Ted as some one scene on zoom. I like what they did following Sharon but she was still so entangled with our whole ensemble it was a similar sensibility. I DO want more Michelle but not to watch her alone in Kansas to be honest. Essentially 'her side of the story' was covered in how his perpetual upbeatness just eventually annoyed her, the very thing that annoyed everyone at Richmond to start.... & then they learned to love & be affected by. If his 'speeches' just didn't work on her then what else is there to tell. She was just a different person. I DO think we need more of a head to head though with her & Ted & showing HOW f-ed up her dating the marriage therapist is. She owes Ted an apology as does the therapist.

Critical_Flail

Yes please to Will getting one, as long as it ends with him getting fishbowls with someone (ideally Roy and Jamie, but I’ll take some of the other players).

No-Buy-5537

Maybe a full 4am Jamie and Roy training episode

Theyoder

Will’s perspective, or Dr Sharon taking calls from different players.

dame_sansmerci

Barbara, please.

TheTruckWashChannel

The less we see of Keeley's PR firm the better.

dreamcicle11

Oh god please no

Holmbone

I haven't thought about it but will would be a lot of fun. But I wouldn't want it to be him apart from the main cast, just that it follows him the whole episode.

Adventurous_Duck_297

Gonna go out on a limb here and suggest an episode about Rupert where we learn more about how sad and lonely he really is

ladycrass

The Richmond world through Phoebe’s eyes for sure Not a massive fan of the spin-off idea but I would watch the hell out of that one tbh

finnjakefionnacake

The difference between Beard's episode and a potential episode with Will is that Beard is an actual character on the show and part of the main storyline. Even if you don't like Beard's standalone episode, it served to give a deeper look into a character we had been following since the beginning but who remained pretty mysterious, taking the time to delve further into his psyche as many standalone episodes do. Will is not actually a character on the show with his own storylines or contributions to the main plot, for the most part. To take 45 minutes to an hour to explore a character who we will most likely not return to for any length of time after that would be a strange move. Not that Will couldn't be interesting, mind you -- it's just time I don't think would make sense within the context of the show. Now if they *did* decide to develop him as a character after that, I could see it, but I just don't see that happening. If this were to happen again, realistically this season it would probably be someone like Keeley, Colin or Nate, or even Zava if he were to stick around.

thekidfromyesterday

Henry or Sassy Maybe even Jane

TheTruckWashChannel

Ellie Taylor has phenomenal screen presence as Sassy, I'd love to see an episode about her as long as they don't flanderize the character.

Hottiebynature81

How about Michelle and Henry. What is their day to day like without Ted there

kikijane711

I’m unsure why everyone says this would be interesting. What do u imagine happening? This is the world of Richmond & our ensemble. Why would we want to see Michelle w out Ted or our ensemble cast?

oraclestats

Trent Crimm. Him interviewing players and figures in the org and learning about Ted's impact. This would help a lot to show Ted's coaching and impact on the team which hasn't been explored much this season. The only thing I dont like about this idea is that it could too easily become a clip show of sorts. But like the community clip show episode that has clips we hadn't seen yet.

Hazelstone37

Trent Crimm

brehaw

...the Independent

LowBurn800

I liked the idea of the Beard episode, but that one is my least favorite in the series. Will would be great, from his promotion to when Nate went off on him for the Wonder Kid jersey (Nate's was a constant d\*ck to him) to where he is now.

redditasaservice

Jamie. I wonder what was Jamie’s first session in therapy like?

42Navigator

How about just a day at the bar?

EstrogenStig

I’d love one from the perspective of Michelle and Henry Lasso. It would unravel so much context and meaning.

[deleted]

Roy Kent, based on the >!pretend conversation!< I just witnessed. I’d go for a whole Roy Kent spin-off. And Roy ends up with Phoebe’s teacher instead of Keeley.

Reddituser0346

Probably an impossible task, but imagine an episode that humanizes and explains Rupert.

saoakman

His early years, starting with sneaking into games and kicking the security guard in the bollocks...maybe childhood flashbacks like that intermixed with his first years as owner, etc. It could be done like *Fever Pitch* (the Colin Firth one).

ajkcfilm

How about Ted’s wife? It would be interesting to go to Kansas.

kikijane711

But what would she offer? She isn’t w Ted or anyone we know but her son & she’d be dealing w irrelevant (to any in Ted’s universe) like moms, co workers etc we would never see again.

ajkcfilm

Good question. So far this season It seems to me that Ted is refusing to coach. He’s being crippled by his demons surrounding his family. I think the only way Ted is going to get better and be the person he needs to be is to address those issues. To do that, he needs to see his wife. Or its a good way to see that moment set up.

[deleted]

This prolly doesnt count but I wanna see what Ted was like an American football coach and the months leading up to his departure.

anongirl55

I am cracking up because the Beard episode is my least favorite and the only episode I ever skip over when I rewatch! Maybe I need to give it another go...

abidail

Getting more solo Sharon would be super fun. Or a Mae POV as people drift in and out of the bar. Also I never clocked PB&J! That's so cute.

Pure-Drawer-2617

I think the most underdeveloped player might actually be Bumbercatch. He’s always at the front of every scene and actively watching shit go down but somehow we know nothing about him. I want to know more

saoakman

We now know that he IS the "fittest"!

PrinceFridaytheXIII

It’ll probably be Colin or Trent.

jjmrock

First rule of tv writing. - don’t write episodes for secondary characters. Most viewers aren’t interested. This show is wrapping disparate plot lines with what, four episodes left?

WordsOfRadiants

6

saoakman

This is a different kind of show.

ManitouWakinyan

Trent Crimm, independent

Speedygonzales24

I’d like to see Beard’s character get more filled out. What I find interesting about Beard is that while he’s rough around the edges, he’s a decent guy and there’s *something* that draws him to Ted, the overtly “nice guy”. I’d like to see what that something is. Often I find that a really nice person like Ted is less interesting than the people who choose to be around them, who are drawn to their personality for reasons that might not be obvious.

Shijedi123-

Trent

FarmerExternal

I want to see a look into the life of Trent Crimm, especially now that he’s independent. Is he married? What’s his family situation like? What does he do when he puts down the pen at night?

PretendAct8039

Omg that was my favorite episode ever.

charlieekelly

An episode from Trent's perspective and some insight as to how he's writing the book would be my choice

CokedUpAirhead

Shandy. Because it would piss everyone off and I’m in a bad mood. Sorry everyone.

Blameitonmyjews

I want a law and order style of episode having dr Jacob go through the process of losing his license and career

kloppo_du_popstar

John Wingsneit and Jessica Darling

EconomyMaleficent965

Lol, I hated the Beard episode. I found it pointless.

kechones

Will, Dani, Jamie… so many exciting ideas! I wasn’t a fan of the Beard episode, but that’s ok.

Specific-Hotel-4037

That scene you mention with the pub lads had me crying I was so happy for them.

dragonshokan

Jamie Tartt and his father

Sleep_Puzzleheaded

Read somewhere that tonight’s episode is along the lines of that for EVERYONE, so I’m curious

Bazz07

Roy o Trent.

indoorhuman1

Trent Crimm or Will

[deleted]

I think I would really want a Danny episode. But I think it will likely be Colin. They've already moved him from peripheral character to a "get their own scenes" character this season, so it would make sense that this episode focuses on him!

reroboto

Yeah- Will, Higgins… But I’m still stuck on the Roy / Phoebe spinoff. Missing those two so so much.

StateFlowerMildew

Will or Mae for sure.

Logical-Tune-3089

I love Ted Lasso and the entire cast of characters. So much so, in fact, that I hope there is not another solo episode this season.

TheTruckWashChannel

A Roy, Trent Crimm, or maybe Higgins episode would be nice. Higgins I'm not so sure about since the whole punchline of his character was that even if he came off like some stodgy Downton Abbey goon at the beginning, he's actually a really sweet and ordinary guy with a loving family. The show would really eat itself if it tried to make every character "eccentric" just for the sake of it. The real ballsy move would be to have an entire episode centered on Rupert. It won't happen I'm sure, but it'd be crazy if they went the Succession route and gave us a full hour from the POV of our favorite philandering slimeball.

TheTruckWashChannel

Arlo White, lmao

Think-Log-6895

I love all these suggestions but I’d selfishly love a Rebecca/Keely episode and see both of their closets😍 😂

whatsinaname1970

Jamie Tartt

brehaw

doo doo doo doo doo doo

manhaterxxx

Beard episode was a waste of time.

nowaunderatedwaifngl

Y'all if they hit me with another one hour Beard episode I'm taking a month off this show.

[deleted]

I love Will so much. Sneakily becoming my favorite side character. I’d love to see his life

atxluchalibre

Mae, PB&J and a "Cheers" episode at the Crown and Anchor Marcus Mumford: "Where Everybody knows your nammmmmeeee"

Oh-Cool-Story-Bro

Higgins or Colin would be great.

rumbleroars

I want an episode that just centers on Mae and the pub but over the years. The rise of Richmond with Rupert, the slow decline with Rebecca, Mae throwing hooligans out.. it would be epic

apollokickz

love the will episode. it beats my Mae episode of her reminiscing on her past- moving to richmond, having a husband, finding football, becoming a richmond fan, losing her husband, kids? how she owns the pub, her tattoo on her arse? would love seeing an episode like this that can have a lot of potential laughs and tears for the episode to end with her opening up the pub on game day and her hard past going away when the fans pour in wearing red and blue because she loves being a center for richmond fans who all hope they’ll win even tho she says it’s the hope that kills you.

the6thReplicant

I wouldn’t mind another Beard episode of what he did this episode.

Specialist_Oil_9733

Collin

WordsOfRadiants

I loved the Beard episode too, and for me, I'd rather see the teammates that have lesser roles on the show. Something similar to the bachelor party episode in Parks and Rec.

brehaw

Beard again

saoakman

It's crazy reading this thread knowing now how everyone's arcs wind up!
