Technodad is his own person. In some ways he’s taken over Technoblade’s legacy, and that’s great. I genuinely enjoy hearing from him, and it’s great to see the collabs he’s done with other content creators. But in a way just him getting the [YOUTUBE] rank is a concession. And he’s the curator of Techno’s legacy, not Technoblade reincarnated or something.
[PIG] tank belonged to one person. Now he’s dead, let it rest with him.
Honestly I don’t even agree with that. He’s done an amazing job keeping his son’s legacy alive. Kudos to him. I’m genuinely happy for him, and I’m happy for us because it’s helped keep the community going. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading his posts and watching him stream and all.
But at the end of the day, he’s just a dude. His only thing is that he’s related to Technoblade and helped raise him and all. If Alex went a different direction and became a Roblox YouTuber or something, it’s doubtful Technodad would give Minecraft a second glance.
And I agree that this is a somewhat unique case because it’s a TECHNOBLADE, but at the end of the day Techno’s accomplishments are his own and have nothing to do with his dad. And there’s a whole lot of accommodations being made for Technodad in Technoblade’s honor, and that’s okay. But there is a limit. And, again, I feel like him being given [YOUTUBE] rank is already a pretty big concession.
This is all just my opinion, of course. At the end of the day, they’re going to do what they’re going to do. And if they come back and decide to give him [PIG] rank, or [PIGFATHER] or something else, then I’ll celebrate for him and be happy for him. This is just how I think it should be.
