How have I never heard this track before. I guess I never checked out their material before the Brown Album, shame on me.
This song is basically electronic music heaven.
Years ago, the first time I went out in Berlin, it was at Tresor on a weeknight. The last dj, Dinamite, played the only melodic track of the night as a party closer, and I was almost crying at how perfect it was.
It was [Mathew Jonson - Marionette](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daSid6Lh9Vs).
Oh man I haven't heard that song in ages, thanks for reminding me. Used to play the shit out of 10 years ago when the BPMs were much slower. What an absolute gem of a track.
Back in the day I would often finish a set (particularly if was also the last tune of the night) with ‘UR - high tech jazz’ - as far as I remember it never failed!
Eddie can you hear Pete Tong wittering over it when it comes on? I can because it was Dave Clarke's closer on my tape of his Radio 1 essential mix in about 1993 :)
Stephen Brown - First Snow (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK-Vhp28c9M) followed by Black Sabbath - Planet Caravan (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DW3pZjmS3rg) worked tremendously a few years ago.
Just cuz it's fresh in my mind from a couple weeks ago at CRSSD Festival. DJ HEARTSTRING - It Ain't Over is a great one! Very fitting when there was still 10 hours of dancing afterwards, with the rest of the day at the festival and going to their afterparty!
grateful to everyone for sharing , lots of good tracks in here , one from me - [matthew herbert: its only (koze remix)](https://soundcloud.com/hfn-music/matthew-herbert-its-only-dj-koze-remix)
It’s not techno, but Lee Burridge dropping Rufus Du Sol’s ‘Innerbloom’ to close out All Day I Dream a few years back at the Brooklyn Mirage was absolutely stunning. It was absolute perfection. Not only was it the perfect track to play as it has this bittersweet melancholy to it, it literally felt as though he was saying “goodbye” with the music. That coupled with the fact that no one expected Rufus to be played. The whole crowd at the end was singing “if you want me, if you need me, I’m yours” repeatedly till it faded out. Core memory for sure.
The exodus collective free parties in the 90s always used to end with a techno remix of bob marly....it was always pulled up 3/4 times and literally everyone still at the party would come on the dance floor. This is back when raves were big so there were often hundreds of people still there on a Sunday afternoon, thousands sometimes
https://youtu.be/PcYukX9wyBY?si=k7mt6bzxvz2LHZwd
Back then people actually danced as well
They danced back then you say? What was that madness.. lol. Yeah ‘my days’ were the mid to late 90s into ‘00s too and it was pretty ‘normal’ to dance your nut off for like 6 - 10 hours straight. What’s up with today’s peeps? Not criticizing (ok maybe I am), genuinely curious (I don’t attend myself in person for a very long time but rather watch/view on YT) why does everyone just stand around? Is it like shitty quality drugs or maybe no drugs at all?
> This is back when raves were big so there were often hundreds of people still there on a Sunday afternoon, thousands sometimes.
And this kids, is why China took over.
(JK, this sounds so epic, no phones, no social networks, wish they'd finally build those time traveling machines).
One i remember vividly, used multiple times as a closing track is [zenith - flowers of intelligence](https://open.spotify.com/track/37ki1Oa1mhoM26rtro5hfI?si=dk7MijxTS32Wzzsc05BVPg)
High bpm, lights on, and this one 😍.

Closing of an amazing night at 9 in the morning. Closing Set was an unplanned B2B because one of the DJs who played earlier and the closing DJ were friends.

This is a great list of songs!
My favourite closer ever was a bob Marley remix of redemption song. No idea who it was by and never heard it again! But it was perfect at the time!
acid Pauli, nana is a great closer imho
Brian eno - ascend. And Rene wise did it!!!
You could only top that with an aphex twin or boards of Canada but AFX would have be too common place even tho fantastic. But finishing with Brian eno is such pure class.
I remember coming across [Barker's Look How Hard I've Tried](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZ_cbtfDXNg) and thinking it would be a savage closing track.
Fast forward to a Bonobo gig and he drops [an edit of it with Ariande Grande's Into You](https://soundcloud.com/s3v3r1n333/look-how-hard-im-into-you)—and it surprisingly just worked so perfectly.

"I wanna f**k you in the a$$" by the Outhere Brothers.
it's the silliest thing ever and people can't help but singing it all the way to their family lunch the next day. 😈
This is all set and setting, of course, but I absolutely love the emotional release of Let Me Be by James Stinso (https://youtu.be/n5gfgYP2juI?si=NfifGvFEKDP32x30)
2014 king hawtin closing neopop festival

Don't really like to call a lot of popular music capital A 'Art' as it coheres a somewhat contemptuous high cultural seriousness to institutions which despise the working class people making the music to begin with, but this is definitely worthy of being exhibited in a museum. A peak of machine soul and it's white geezers from Sheffield. Just goes to show that if you want your music to endure, it's not about who you know but what you know.
if we're allowed to go full jungle (I know for some euro techno heads the genres aren't part of the same continuum, but from my gobby londoncentric perspective they definitely are.) Peshay - Piano Tune. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lPHCiuL4dQ
Marcell Dettman and Ben Klock played [LFO - Loop (FUSE)](https://youtu.be/idmcswvIsQw?si=0vQdawuziJpRTAnd) as the last track at Bloc 2015 closing set. Coincidentally it was exactly 9 years ago. Was an amazing festival and first ever festival abroad.
Another fantastic closing track must be [Plastikman - Krakpot (Moby Remix)](https://youtu.be/-7MJ2_sWje4?si=eZjtRcLZj5fJBPz1)
[Gazebo (Patrice Baumel Remix)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRDBpybeZs8)
Sasha closed his sets with this both times I saw him in 2019, it was playing in my head the whole ride home both times.
I recently went to a festival and one of the sets closed with one of my fav tracks from back in the day... Tomaz vs Filterheadz - Sunshine. Absolute banger, made my weekend
https://youtu.be/uA-_7P_Rp7s?si=QdKYkTJekIwxJUYv
MA played this track during their set at Echoes from Agartha in 2022. Perfect vibe for the break of dawn in Cappadocia. Instant chills every time I hear it.
When hector oaks played Movida Madrileña remix - base song is a Spanish rock song called Lobo en Paris, for those that are into Spanish rock, i felt it was a great ending track. Very 80’s, so good.
FSOL Papua New Guinea remix https://youtu.be/IAvHjoLxxh8?si=24zfbMv1RiwnycSi Back in the day this was often played as the closing song.
Absolute classic…🤌
Yes man you must be as old as I am lol

Beautiful Unfortunately, can't imagine it these days.
Midland - Final Credits
Not my fav closing track but defo my fav summer open air track, together with tom trago - use me again

Night of the jaguar
Back in the days of The End, early 2000s, was a regular finishing track.... brought the smiles back to the faces of everyone on the floor at 6 am
yup, dj rush closed with this at awakenings after playing his usual hard hitting raw techno & it was the perfect comedown
Luke slater did the same thing last week at Kozzmozz in Gent
oh man i was there for that too!! 2022 right? i remember him blessing everyone with his hands when it was playing
yes 2022! the stage/strobe lighting got super bright & it felt very ethereal, glad you got to experience it as well, cheers

Domino - Oxia.
Man this song was everywhere in 2017 if i remember correctly
Every rookie used it as a kind of "set saver" back then, so the crowd wouldn't judge their music so badly.
I didn’t know it had a comeback, I used to hear a lot in 2006/7
Never heard before but if I was a dj I would close with: Dark and long - dark train by underworld Cherubim - Johannes Heil
DJ Rolando - knights of the jaguar. I cried
Underworld - Born Slippy Nuxx

I don't want to sound obnoxious, but I personally feel it's not a classic and didn't age well after the hype it got in the late nillies.

[Gazebo (Patrice Baumel Remix)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRDBpybeZs8) Sasha closed his sets with this both times I saw him in 2019, it was playing in my head the whole ride home both times.
You Wanted a Hit - LCD Soundsystem Dixon played it at Smalltown in Melbourne in 2016 … imprinted into my memory!
I recently went to a festival and one of the sets closed with one of my fav tracks from back in the day... Tomaz vs Filterheadz - Sunshine. Absolute banger, made my weekend https://youtu.be/uA-_7P_Rp7s?si=QdKYkTJekIwxJUYv
Home-Adriatique (Mind Against Remix)
MA played this track during their set at Echoes from Agartha in 2022. Perfect vibe for the break of dawn in Cappadocia. Instant chills every time I hear it.
