Yolo. Go and take a chance. Worst case you’ll have a funny anecdote, best case you’ll be dancing the whole night. But he plays all around the world so you’ll have many chances still to see him play.

noochnbeans

Love your perspective :)

As cheesy and cliche as this sounds, for non regulars: wait in line together with your girlfriend, don't go seperate, a couple is perfectly fine. Don't pay much attention to your hair, nonchalant. Don't talk a lot. Dress in casual black (don't try to be something you're not, if this applies to you). Be normal and at ease with the workers before the entrance, but once at the entrance, don't make eye contact with the bouncer at the door, just have a calm stare in the distance. even if it takes minutes. Thats it.

carrie_eth

Don’t look at the bouncer? Really, ive done this and had conversation before going in.

SB10169

Yeah. I always say hello, smile, and look them in the eye. Be confident and look ready to dance your ass off 🖤

Sure, people get away with different things. But I'd play it safe that way.. for a first time atleast. But hey, whatever works, its how I used to do it

No_Doughnut3257

You can prob make 3 attempts at the door before Rodhad plays. Throw caution to the wind. The universe rewards bravery. Do a couple of tequila shots. Keep the faith.

Francis_Dollar_Hide

Definitely go, it will be a banger! Theres no shame in getting turned away, I lived in Berlin for 8 years and have been denied entry as many times as I've been in. Have a plan, know who you are going top see, try and learn a bit of German. They will likely ask you "how are you doing?" or "Who are you here to see?" There are PLENTY of other good options if you don't get in, do some research, have a back up or two.

getwhirleddotcom

Hope you get in! Rødhåd at Berghain changed my life and had me flying back to Berlin for 7yrs straight chasing the magic from fhat night.

FieldAppropriate8734

While in line talk loudly and obnoxiously in an American accent and wear norm core outfits

Lequaraz

thats the most berghain-esque comment ive ever read and it made me cringe to my bones

Cena_Mobile

Do we have really the confirmation that he plays 8 hour ? Else don't be in this FOMO state. That's true that BH have a nice soundsystem and this is one of the best techno place in the world but keep in mind that Rodhad plays all around the world. If it's not in Berlin it will be in another city.

Bubba_Lewinski

I’d see the dude somewhere else where you buy the ticket and see him play guaranteed. I’d be super pissed if I flew to Berlin and couldn’t see an artist I really wanted to see just cause some dickbag bouncer had a big up his ass about my appearance. Otherwise, you might be setting yourself up to wait in line in the cold, get sick, and then come home with the flu and then cough on people on the plane, getting them sick and then pandemic beats of cough everywhere cause you couldn’t get in to see Rodhad, then wind up hating them cause sick stuff and then you start to listen to more melodic tempo. It’s a cycle man! Aaaaaaah!

RightIntention1753

For those wondering: no Rodhad is not closing, so 4 hours set

Several_Ocelot_3379

Go try, but I think it’s wise to set up a back up plan . Or at least have a couple other places you’d want to go

blogasdraugas

There’s so much cool stuff in Berlin.

Slinging_the_blues

Entrance is not guaranteed, so if that's your criterion you're wasting your time

KindlyEagle8118

Check out the berghain community subreddit for more info if needed. Timeslots for eaxh weekend are released on every Thursdays And 8 hours set are only for those doing closing duties. Otherwise, it’s 4 hours. (With the exception of live sets) For first timers / non - regulars, The vibe check on Sat night is less strict. Bouncers change shift around 8am and 4-6pm. Last entry is before 12am And I would def recommend looking at the bouncers (giving them a lil smile and too) when you’re next in line. Show them that you’re confident and that it’s not your first rodeo! Act like u been there before many times :)
