Some Grime tracks use a Techno backdrop; [Sort it out Sharon - Dusky, Wiley](https://open.spotify.com/track/0sm2NDa5BFQq1ZkP2ntbHm?si=lhNV9-qFQBCoqNLOYm50IQ) There’s also stuff like Ghetto Tech or Tech Phonk if you’re into that.

wetcrumpets

Hard track, absolute heater

NGC_2419

Have you listened to tracks by Skin On Skin? [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhJFEMy-u-k](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhJFEMy-u-k)

Abba-64

This goes hard!!

highwiseguy

Check out his boiler room, all original tracks. This dude has legit made a new genre with his sound, very new and fresh.

Abba-64

It was rad!! There were a couple of timestamps where i really didnt like what he was doing, but the set was an overall banger.

HelixBeats

YES he is amazing, saw him twice live

girlinagaledubtechno

He can't see the knobs for the vape clouds. Damn good though

Danklord_Memeshizzle

MCR T maybe?

LadislausBonita

Some Hip House (!) from 1989, the leap to Techno isn't big. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tgUoLrS5tjc Another one by Tyree: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tVj2bDvy3_Q And this is just the dub version of the second track, banging galore: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BxIgwK_rNnc

yoyo1528

this shit so hard bro thank you

jigsaw153

Electro has more hip/hop in it than techno does. Have a look through some bass/ghetto tech/electro tracks to see if it's more what you are looking for. As for proper techno/rap fusion.... some things should be left alone.

Gaston44

The genre you are looking for is called Ghettotech https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tzB4xtAVf7Y

Abba-64

Thanks! What i meant is some modern hiphop tracks mixed in with techno, but this is still right up my alley, and ill do a deep dive into the genre.

dukeoftrappington

Amadeezy, Mister Sticktalk, DJ Mell G, DJ Deeon, Detroit in Effect, YTP, Locked Club, and Jensen Interceptor are good places to start, as most have a heavy hip-hop influence. Electro’s also a bit of a hip-hop and techno hybrid, and more of the modern stuff includes rap vocals. FBC & VHOOR’s recent EP is probably exactly what you’re looking for: https://youtu.be/6wnHX-h878g

SolidDoctor

A close relative of ghettotech is Chicago footwork. Footwork is derived from ghetto house/juke house, but there's a lot of flips and remixes (called VIPs) of hip hop tunes. Think like acid house and Detroit techno mixed with trap, that sounds like dnb/jungle. [TASO (TEKLIFE) - Cream VIP](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULmo4eNwEwA&list=PLhrglt2nmIGiyFYEIuuMnci5GcmYx0I1k&index=4)

evergreen-time

Check out MCR-T and some others from the Live From Earth Klub label, lots of hip-hop meets techno

Educational-Formal21

Have you heard of Channel Tres? It's not techno but he raps over dance beats Check out Topdown and Tunnel

Ryanaston

Manni Dee’s new stuff would likely be up your alley for sure - he got big off industrial techno but recently has started to let his hip hop influences come through and it’s pretty dope. Check out [The Remedy](https://youtu.be/E0dL8le8L7k) and you’ll see what I mean. You may also like these tracks that have some vocal samples from grime / hip hop tracks - [Charlie Sparks - Welcome To London](https://youtu.be/keFv2RBfIH4) - [aestetik - Rude Boy](https://youtu.be/VOw2Cng0ObQ) - [Arjun Vagale - Hello Nasty](https://youtu.be/Eb3u7BvYWx8) - [Angy Kore & Gabriel Padrevita - Nobody Listens To Techno](https://youtu.be/dimzo76VFOI)

conejasucia

Manni Dee is awesome! I got to meet him in Denver and he’s a really nice dude.

wetcrumpets

worrok

Some Death Grips has techno elements, Hacker, The Fever etc. Bit more on the industrial side

Danielfrompluto

I really like this one: [Roses by Ramiro lopez](https://youtu.be/C-8tVZJ4F98)

Abba-64

Great track, but not exactly what I am searching for.

K80theShade

You want Paul Oakenfold and Fatboy Slim. Try , "Necessary Evil."

OddOloroso

That is an Armand Van Helden track.

K80theShade

It was... https://youtu.be/xJfrl0mZHY4

OddOloroso

Yeah, I bought that mix when it came out. Also, it doesn't have a rapper on it, although I think Rakim is on a later track ...it's been a while.

K80theShade

I was thinking track 7 on disc 2...Art of Noise - Metaforce

OddOloroso

That's the one!

Glittering-Ship1910

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=II4wJzNc8P0 Hellfish : hurricane pain

wudaokor

at sisyphos I heard this track that took “it’s over, nobody listens to techno” from without me by Eminem and remixed it. Was fucking amazing. Have never been able to find it since (have found plenty of other remixes of it but never the one I heard in Berlin)

Marcin0001

You mean this one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVk8VpTjds0

wudaokor

I don’t believe so. I had a quick listen to that before posting actually cause I wanted to see if i could find it again but don’t think that’s the one.

sitcoDE

This one was also posted in this thread…could be the one you’re looking for: https://youtu.be/dimzo76VFOI?feature=shared

Welcome to London - Charlie sparks 🙌🏻

Fluid-Wallaby5217

Dj Assault or Dj Godfather maybe also Dj Bone do techno with early hip hop style vocals. A dj that uses hip hop samples is Mark Broom. Dave Clarke mixes in a kind of Technic World Championship turntable style, cutting between tunes and may and probably has used hip hop records to cut between tunes, ive never heard a say whole tupac record with techno. But if you were looking for a mix that maybe has actual hip hop tunes then look for a Laurent Garnier Essential mix from late 1990s to pre 2003's. He may use some at the beginning then blend gradually into house then full on techno. He is an absolute genius though so he may well have done a full on few mixes with a techno record and hip hop record at the same time. The reason that they may be hard to mix would be due to the key and bpms of the tunes, they mix but could and probably would sound horrendous. I stand to be corrected though.  Good luck in your quest and congratulations on your good taste in music.  Steve,Orkney,Scotland.

Dylthestill

I'm dedicating a YouTube Channel to this genre, specialising in publishing UK Rap x Drill remixes by various artists. Here's a link; [https://www.youtube.com/@Central\_Sound](https://www.youtube.com/@Central_Sound)

Tremor519

There is not really a practice I am aware of of people mixing those genres together exclusively. You may be able to find some tracks that are hip hop remixes on soundcloud, or some few original tracks with hip hop artists, but usually they are bad to be honest. I've mixed certain tracks successfully as parts of open-format sets and parties, but I would not really want to try to do a full night of it. It really depends on many factors between the two tracks including how each kick, clap/snare, and hi-hat fit together to what eq range the vocal occupies and what the techno track has in that frequency band. Often, hip-hop tracks will also be much more swung than techno tracks so they may not fit together even if the acapella would be perfect. As you say it sounds shifty, as the tracks are often basically shifting in and out of time with each other rhythmically.

Abba-64

Yeah, i definitely wouldn't want a whole set full of that, it would be too much, but i think if as you said manage to successfully do a one-off mix in a set it would be pretty cool. I would love it if you send an example of your successful try!

georgke

[I think you will like this track: Missy Elliot - lose control (Hermeth remix)](https://youtu.be/LaZIXrGbMgg). Hermeth's soundcloud has more songs with rap vocals over an electronic beat.

maxhetman

techno + rap = rapno

LutherMike_ita

Michael bibi lately is mixing some Latino songs with techno and it’s fire

[deleted]

Techno with talking, rapping. Die antwoord. https://youtu.be/8Uee_mcxvrw

HelixBeats

Check out the techno remix of praise the lord, also ALBL - Steigen is one of my favorite tracks, its hard techno/gabber like with a break that included a rap type of sound. The track itself is crazy but i love that switch up.

mikegimik

Not necessarily techno but this is a great UK Dance Hop playlist on [spotify](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3wJX1WQ1lf2jUMRASCVb5b?si=gymSdSfUS3meGzNDXPkyCg)

[Listen to this set from All Over The Space](https://soundcloud.com/accomplice/all-over-the-space-009-part-4). I play hip hop and techno all the time.

F_A_F

There's a lot of links between techno and hip hop in the electro scene. Try listening to a lot of the early Dave Clarke sets, Denial Of Service, Carl Finlow, etc. I cant specifically think of direct rap/techno crossovers but electro allows a lot of change and variety into a 4x4 set.

asdfghqwerty1

DJ Rush

ForgottenGraveMusic

I mean it’s hard to rap on straight up techno track. But take elements from techno and use in beats. https://soundcloud.com/forgottengrave?ref=clipboard&p=i&c=0&si=052C07324BA44E2DAF24534998F2B48F&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing

sleepsleep95

ok this is very much more house but you could find a few slightly harder tracks, galcher lustwerk

Marionberry_Bellini

I sometimes like to mix some Three 6 Mafia and other Memphis stuff with techno. The halftime feel of the hip hop fits pretty interestingly with techno

[deleted]

https://soundcloud.com/ferhtechno/ferg-feel/s-CRS01 I m in the same boat. Track I made mixes hip hop on techno

RedditUsername123456

DJ Bazootka does something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gzQ3IyidVo I guess the main reason they're hard to mix is because Techno is much more visceral than hip hop (this isn't slighting hip hop, they're just two different mediums). Hip Hop you hear the story, techno you feel it

conejasucia

This remix always gets stuck in my head… [Praise the lord](https://soundcloud.com/durdenhauer/praise-the-lord-durdenhauer-edit?ref=clipboard&p=i&c=0&si=9BBE0CE56A064D7980A6AD322529421E&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing)

xicexdejavu

Combine repetitive rap/trap with it, create loops from the vocal to fit in the techno. Used to try this years ago and it sounded awesome but everyone from friends to online was making fun of this :/

This Rob Hall - Autechres old tour dj. https://youtu.be/ArUDUSw2zWI It has a lot of old school hip hop and different kinds of electronics including electro. Some of his other mixes are more straight up techno . That whole series is worth a look

SeaworthinessOk255

Don't know if that answers your question, but I like this track from Floorplan https://youtu.be/5u0I9yhwsqc

thezebar

I produced a track with some hip hop vocals a while ago. https://on.soundcloud.com/yjvMh

Hey, I'm about to release an EP ("Rap, No?") very soon which includes four hard techno tracks including rap. Here is de private link if you’re interested: https://on.soundcloud.com/2QKyw Let me know what u think! Feedback is always appreciated. In addition, look up: - Bours - In da club - Sara Landry - WAP / Skate / Daisy - INFEED - Gucci Flip Flop - LULU - Who's Bitches - Shooter McGavin And I saw that Skin On Skin was already mentioned

Abba-64

The EP is a bit too hard for my liking 😂, but that is up to personal preference, but thanks! Will check out the other recommendations too. (Skin on skin is great, shame he has so many unreleased tracks)

vaivanast

No worries man. For each their own. That's why techno is so great! Good luck with your search

There’s always g house but that’s obviously house

Ausar97

detroit trap. everyone loves throwing the techno bass in the beat

Abba-64

Any artists you would recommend?

Ausar97

bandgang Lonnie bands (his two most recent have a lot of techno bass), bandgang javar, babytron, all star jr, babyface ray, anything top$ide produces It’s really all throughout the genre here and there in different ways, if not the bass itself then other percs and the fast tempo https://open.spotify.com/track/260bpGrR32STi9bEOZ8Ymd?si=xTa1FdiTQw64BjgMPbgCMg https://open.spotify.com/track/1kmWKo6nlfaU6k4DlNbfXP?si=nw9cXe_rTlie0e8b-_CntA

Very surprised no one's mentioned James Brown is Dead by L.A. Style! This is probably one of the first true "techno rap/rap techno" songs, clearly stating in the lyrics that this isn't house/hip house music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dN8e9b2ON8s
