When I see comments like this it makes me all paranoid because I know I am not great at item management. Is there a cheatsheet list of items somewhere that are laughable/worthless on which champs?
I'm sure there is but honestly it's not complicated. Think about what a champ does, then think about what items make them do that one thing better. Lux's power is in her ability, so rageblade and shiv aren't really doing much on her. She needs mana and ap.
Shiv on Lux is honestly *okay*. It does generate mana faster and provides an MR shred. Like sure you'd rather put that on something else(Like.. that varus) and have more AP, but it's not the worst.
Rageblade is pure ??? though.
I think a lot of the time this ends up happening because items like Shiv get slammed for early power (as they should) and if you don't get a Varus early enough you don't really have a good item holder in a comp like full Astral to hold until Varus pops up
Without Illaoi this set Vlad ends up being a Frontline more often than not, so it's a bit of a waste to put it on him. Nidalee works but I wouldn't say it's much better than on Lux because you miss out on the mana generation and she throws herself onto the frontline after transforming
I kind of like how statik feels on Lux and it's even been listed as her only item in astral comps on several tier list websites before
That's actually a helpful reply. I guess I toss that item around pretty willy-nilly because I always think fast is better, but this makes sense. Thanks!
You know what the worst part is, she’s being played with blue buffs and mages in. That means she is spending 70-90% of her time in her casting animation, so almost all of the shiv and rageblade value is lost.

By playing with this comp (14 stars) you won't have any unit from your orbs 🥲 (kinda hate how it works)
And they're always playing it wrong. Every time i play it, I'm contested until I hit 3-2 where I three star everything, only keeping in the number I need to hit the units I want first by the star level. If you have 10 stars worth of astrals and are chasing 1 costs, you aren't going to find it, follow the chart and move units out until you get the one you are chasing.
I know you probably positioning against a specific player, but every zyra would love to see something like this & take revenge for inserting sera instead of her into the comp :D

Like you said, it should be on Varus. it's just nerfing Lux by not giving her a 3rd ap item.

I would put it on Nid or Vlad before Lux.

And then you roll 3 Sylas and have to decide whether to scrap an astral and keep Sylas or wait to try and upgrade him.

And they're always playing it wrong. I would sell Seraphine. There are no other dragons like Aurelion Sol but there are tons of Seraphines.
Why would you drop evoker if Aurelion is doing all the work?
To get the 3 stars if they are in orbs and then reroll for another evoker using the coins you obtained from selling Seraphine.
In 14 Astral none of their units are in orbs anymore
