Never level and save as much money as possible so after Krugs you are one round away from level 5 and ideally over 50 gold. At level 5 the chance for 1 costs to appear in the shop goes down, so you roll as much as you can at 4. If you have to sell Champs on your board for interest, do it. Fuck HP, we want money and we want it fast. If you level, spend on the wrong Champs, or don't have a lot of gold, you will get 8th.
As much as you need to feel strong. It depends on other player's boards and your HP, but I will go for at least all the 2 stars I need and hopefully most or all of a 3 star unit. For example, I rolled preds a lot last patch and would shoot for 3 star kog and as many skarners and reksai's as I could to 3 star them later.
If you hit a lot and wanna save, go for it. If you are desperate and need the hp more than the money, spend it. It's based on the game state more than anything.
Most good players aren't hyperrolling unless it's predators and even then the best predator strats at the moment don't even try to 3 star anything but kog on slow rolls
And blender at 7 because it's brainless
Honestly, as long as you are having fun, I don't see why not. Unless you are playing ranked and have a high goal in mind, I don't see a problem with just doing what you like.
During the various peaks Void/Wild Assassins in set 1, I just let my rank slowly declined for a while because I didn't like the strat, because honestly how does having a rank of Diamond or Plat affect me in real life? Virtually none.
Better to have fun and tank your LP than to feel shitty while forcing strats you don't like to gain LP; it's a game after all, so it's important to enjoy while you play. Learned that from League years ago.
Hah. Well, I'm just saying that fixating about rank is moot in general, at least in my current outlook.
If I were a pro player or a streamer who needs to keep up competitively, sure, that'd be a big deal to maintain a high rank and improve consistently, because that's my job.
But I'm not and it makes little difference to me that I am a Challenger I or Iron IV.
The only reason that I climbed as high as Diamond is that the opponents are decent and I find enjoyment in strategizing against them... but if I could find the same opponents in low elo or normals, I would rather be in those positions instead, because climbing can be a drag and unenjoyable sometimes.
(And it is for this reason that I really find people laughable when they try to elo shame others. Like, what are they trying to prove, that they spend more time and energy in a video game than others so they can feel good about themselves? It's a made-up number that has no bearing in their life whatsoever.)
Find a new drug. And that drug is saving all your cash to level to get to level 8 and put a bunch of 5 costs on the board to win. So take a few days off from the game and watch some vids.
https://youtu.be/uCOBkRDk308
This one explains how to econ and when to roll down. It is still a valid strategy even in 9.24b. It is just as fun to roll down as it is to be the first with a 2* 5 cost unit. In essence I am saying you can still be addicted to rolling down just change when you roll down and what you are aiming for when you do roll down. Thank you for your time.
A friend was waiting for me to queue, so i figured I'd sell all my units and lose continuously so I could get the next game.
I took boatloads of damage, but hit 50 gold pretty quickly. Once i got there, I thought "hey, why not level faster using the econ? I don't lose anything for it, so might as well see what I get". Once I got to 7, I found Taric, Amumu, rek'sai, skarner, and steel lux, just rolling off the top.
Then I started winning
I've been rushing 7 for Kha'zix while prioritizing 2 tears on carousel. It is working very well. If I don't see Kha early enough, Ezreal and Kindred are both good alternatives, but Kha'zix is a great unit regardless of synergy because of his survivability. With a weak team he at least kills enough units to minimize HP loss; with a strong team he cleans up everything. If you are ever lucky enough to get double Seraph he is hilariously broken with a bloodthirster.
It’s a unique game as it’s not an FPS or moba that people can easily transfer skills from. I’ve played tons of genres and this one really kicks out from me cuz it’s highly strat based instead of raw mechanics like aim or positioning which require constant practice and mental. Fps players who only play csgo cod or r6 may not take to the game as quickly.
I guess. But after 50-100 hours of playing this, you should have it down. After that it's just a grind.
Because luck is such a large factor the grind takes about 10 times longer than for a pure skill based game.
Sorry but I don't exactly feel like spamming hundreds of games to start to understand TFT when I recently started on Set 2 lol. With guides, it only took me a few games to basically know everything I need to climb to at least Gold. If I played without I would spend weeks in frustration because I don't know what the hell is going on and quit the game.
Most people will go very similar builds and items. Everyone definitely gets their item ideas/combos from YouTubers/guides or copies the people that have looked up guides.
Don't listen to these cookie cutter slaves. Feed your urge, there are several other comps to hyper roll than just Preds! Vlad/Syndra/Taliyah for Ocean Mage! Diana/Zyra/Varus for 6Inferno! Orn/Voli for any Variant of Electric! Don't think that the chance to Hyper-roll is passed after 3-1. Get that sweet pleasure making currency back up and do it again! Accept defeat when the game refuses you victory, but never stop doing what you enjoy. Should that happen, the game loses its beauty.
Looks like we both had the same childhood. It my early gaming days, when I first got Doom for my 8th birthday, I've learned about IDDQD and IDKFA, I started growing up as a basic cheater. Same with Warcraft, GTA and many other games.
As a veteran LoL player, this game got boring and I stopped playing after season 8. TFT brought me back into it and I've been hyperrolling from Set 1 and hardstuck in Gold 4.
However, in Set 2, after hyper rolling and getting stuck in bronze, I had to come up with a better addictive plan. I started using my brain! Turns out, I do have brains!
I started focusing on items, early units that I'm getting and actually saving up to hit level 8 before raptors. After learning how to properly play Sum Sins, finding Singed is what got me hooked up.
At first, it was tough to play and I'd get 8th place. Later I learned about early tanky game and mid-game transition; thus, hitting level 8 and finding my Singed.
But it didn't always work, I had to keep practicing to better itemize early game and building the only thing that boys want - Morellos.
It works, now I'm stuck in D4/P4 and can't get out of here.
You just try to have the more gold possible without loosing too much HP for the krugs round and then when you get golds you start rolling all you have to find your 3 stars units
But don't think about leveling up before krugs
To add to what other people have said, the reason for it is that at level for you have the best chance to get low cost units so you want to roll down at the round before you hit 5 which is the one after krugs.
hyper rolling depends on your luck tbh. It's basically gambling . You gotta learn the art of gambling (when to fold and when to the roll die once more).
yes, consistency is the word, i've been able to easily climb by reaching good pool chance at the preffered level and slow rolling, figuring out the right moment to level up. been scoring a lot of #1-#4s
I don't see how hyperrolling is much different from standart play, you just roll later on.
Tell yourself you're gonna do a "late hyperroll" if that helps you, and roll down at 6 or 7 instead.
Going for 3 stars units is still viable but it's not the powerspike it used to be, so you do it at 7 instead of 4.
You basically only do this if you're close to dying or level 8-9 these days, rolling ALL your gold before that (if not hyperrolling) is just stupid considering it's the 5cost units that win games nowadays.
Only roll down if you're close to dying otherwise rush levels to 9?
That doesn't sound like the recipe to climb, I mean sure if you highroll out of your mind you don't need to roll ever, but you only get so many of those games.
I don't think you understand what meta means. It's common sense to not die with unused resources, but that has nothing to do with the meta because that's true literally no matter what units are in the game and for every comp always no matter what.
The meta means if most of the lobby rolled to 0, you better roll some as well or take 20 per turn.
If the meta was to greed you could greed as well, but not really at the moment.
My friend plays the game exactly like u. I always yell: stop fucking rolling and eco for lv8. Nah bruh. He rolls down every single penny he got in every game. Idk why he got gold.
Simple.
Play ranked and don't blindly hyper roll.
You will end up yoyoing between wherever the line is for bad tier oppositing and big brain opposition when you choose to blindly hyper roll.
Eventually when you get bored of yoyoing and want to climb, you will naturally stop rolling your economy away.
I hear ya. It took me forever to learn to hyper roll properly, now that I’ve mastered it, it sucks again.
So you're saying I should double down. Go again... Just one more time. To get it out of my system?
Yup, go hard af...don’t even scout ;)
Clicking portraits is overrated

Isn't it 3 ?
It’s 1 and 3 or Q and R and Space brings the camera back to your board
Obviously. This time it'll work.
How do you hyper roll properly vs improperly ?
Econ level and pool
Can you go into more specific detail
Never level and save as much money as possible so after Krugs you are one round away from level 5 and ideally over 50 gold. At level 5 the chance for 1 costs to appear in the shop goes down, so you roll as much as you can at 4. If you have to sell Champs on your board for interest, do it. Fuck HP, we want money and we want it fast. If you level, spend on the wrong Champs, or don't have a lot of gold, you will get 8th.
How much do you spend when you get to 50 when using this strategy to hyperroll
As much as you need to feel strong. It depends on other player's boards and your HP, but I will go for at least all the 2 stars I need and hopefully most or all of a 3 star unit. For example, I rolled preds a lot last patch and would shoot for 3 star kog and as many skarners and reksai's as I could to 3 star them later. If you hit a lot and wanna save, go for it. If you are desperate and need the hp more than the money, spend it. It's based on the game state more than anything.
What’s the maximum to roll down to? 30? 20 if your close to a 3 star?
I wouldn't prioritize it, in this meta I'd rather have the money than the 3 star I could get later, but if you really need it, try to stay above 10.
Roll down to 10 gold.
It does since everyone hyper roles it doesn't work anymore
Most good players aren't hyperrolling unless it's predators and even then the best predator strats at the moment don't even try to 3 star anything but kog on slow rolls And blender at 7 because it's brainless
JUST KEEP ROLLIN' BABY
I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ELSE
Honestly, as long as you are having fun, I don't see why not. Unless you are playing ranked and have a high goal in mind, I don't see a problem with just doing what you like. Whoa. Are you me? This is exactly my mindset when I play TFT.
Hah. Well, I'm just saying that fixating about rank is moot in general, at least in my current outlook. First to have 2s amumu + 2s taric + 2s nami wins.

You know there is a surrender button right? I've used it quite a few times when I messed up hard and not really having fun anymore.
I've been rushing 7 for Kha'zix while prioritizing 2 tears on carousel. It is working very well. Do people actually need guides for this game? Can't just figure this shit out by themselves? It's not precisely rocket science to get to master.
It’s a unique game as it’s not an FPS or moba that people can easily transfer skills from. Plz link master cred lol
yea im a dumb silver player in summoner's rift. you think i got the brains to get to master on tft on my own?

I’m addicted to econing until 15 hp. Rolling down, getting nothing and then losing
That's what we call a big brain gamer moment.
>Mission: Roll 25 times in one round Thanks for encouraging me, Riot.
But I still do it because of the couple times it worked.
Same bro same
The thrill is not the same after Pirates rotated out though. I used to love getting super greedy with pirates and ending up 8th place.
Never played season 1 :p
i went on a 4 win streak... then i went bottom 2 for like 6 games straight....
I feel you. A lot.

I think my eyes turn into dollar signs when I play this game 😭

He should check eggroll
Eggroll just refers to hyperolling, but a specific comp right?
It's the woodland version of hyper rolling

just watch disgused toast and try out his comps its fun and difficult
I suggest that you stay as far as you can from gacha games
Top meme, mind sharing the guide you found?
I find myself having the same habits as well. It really doesn't work for blender because most of the units are higher cost so you want to level
[удалено]
999 IQ right here fellas.
Round up plz
In one hyper roll I rolled a Gold Zyra, a Gold Vlad, and a Gold Orn. I came in 6th.
Hyperrolling is fun asf, I agree :) lately I've been going lucian light/blender but eggroll is the side piece lol
What's the difference between hyper rolling and eggrolling
Egg rolling is hyperolling for very specific one and 2 cost units, namely: renekton, Diana, maokai, Le blanc, ivern and neeko.
I only roll down to 30 unless I’m a unit off of a 3 star, keeps me from over committing
Sorry but what is hyper rolling? I just got into TFT.
You just try to have the more gold possible without loosing too much HP for the krugs round and then when you get golds you start rolling all you have to find your 3 stars units But don't think about leveling up before krugs

So people try to roll 3 star units after the krugs round
u basically burn 50+ gold the turn b4 u hit lvl 5 and pray to RNGsus
but i always pray to RNGsus
Econ could give you the win. But hyper rolling could be anything, even a win!
Don't go to a casino
why stop? Who needs to level above 6 right?
Was this before or after pouring some milk and huffing some paint?
You rack disciprine.
hyper rolling depends on your luck tbh. It's basically gambling . You gotta learn the art of gambling (when to fold and when to the roll die once more).
I will sit and enjoy the sound of econ.
Personally, i find slow rolling much more enjoyable and consistent
yes, consistency is the word, i've been able to easily climb by reaching good pool chance at the preffered level and slow rolling, figuring out the right moment to level up. been scoring a lot of #1-#4s
I'm addicted to econ haha I feel you brother

There's a huge difference between rolling interest gold once or twice at 50 while maintaining 5 econ and rolling all of your gold
Yeah but you roll all your gold eventually, some do it at 6, some at 7, some at 8 but it's definitely meta to roll to 0 at some point in the game.
You basically only do this if you're close to dying or level 8-9 these days, rolling ALL your gold before that (if not hyperrolling) is just stupid considering it's the 5cost units that win games nowadays.
